The review is solely on their glasses, as I didn't use their optometrists. You should believe all the negative reviews as most are truthful. It's amazing to me that a huge corporation with access to many name brands are such a rip off. Clearly they must be paying less for products than the smaller independent stores. So why the need to RIP OFF every one? GREED I would say. I bought a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses here that I wound up returning, both because they didn't fit and didn't look good on me. The salespeople will basically tell you that every pair you try on looks great, just to make a sale. The second I walked in the door and my wife saw the glasses she said they were a poor choice. 10 other people agreed that they looked funny. One would think that a salesperson would make the same call. The fortunate thing is that they will let you make returns for 30 days. I started looking around at other local optometrist offices, walked in and basically was able to buy 2 pair of Ray Bans for what LensCrafters ripped me off for. Don't waste your time and money, head over to a smaller independent shop, you'll get a better deal and service for sure! read more

I found that LC is more organized with talented and kind staff. My eye prescription was well done with great attention to detail. Costco was my previous place to go. That is ended since there are changes in the OD's from my first visit. The extra $10 for LC is worth it because the equipment is more redundant and modern. My eye doctor Debbie Lopez, OD was amazing. Her experience and knowledge was over the top. I would recommend making an appointment with LC at Westfield and ask for Debbie. read more

David hung up tbe phone on us several times after we said we had not received a text regarding the sunglasses we dropped off. We later left a review on google and was told a regional manager would contact us but they never did until several emails written to customer service. I would give this no stars if I could. This store, and company, are so unprofessional and JUST DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. There are other stores out there and I will go to one of them in the future. I purchased glasses on March 16, 2020 and I still don't have them. I know that places are closed right now and understand that. I know they are sending glasses out and I can't even get a status on my glasses. They are considered "essential" (after all seeing clearly is important to most people) but that seems to have a different meaning to LensCrafters. Tonight I needed my non -LC wire frames adjusted as i looked like I'd been smacked up side the head. Luis greeted me as I came in. But out of all of them Suzy made the entire experience so easy and such a fun experience for me! I'm a very shy & anxious person and honestly get really nervous to ask for help when I need it, but Suzy came right up to me and took the absolute BEST care I could've ever received in customer service! She was patient,kind, and so easy to talk too! Spoke to the store manager today and she insisted that it was not the case. Employees need to get on the same page and stop giving out miss information. I am very upset. I ordered my glasses prior to the closure of the COVID Epidemic March 10th. Here were are June 23, 2020 and the store opened two weeks ago and I have left messages and no one has returned my call. No one answers the phone. Customer service 800 number is a joke. They have no information. I was sent a survey asking if I wanted my glasses shipped to me and I said yes. This was sometime in May. Guess what, no glasses! 9/5/2020: Update: I *assumed* when I was a LensCrafter customer for several years that the optical shop at my eye doc's was more expensive than LC & that LC charges were probably okay considering they are nationwide and you can go to one in any state if you have an issue with your glasses or need them adjusted. (Mine were never ready in an hour or same day bc the Rx was a little complicated.) However, my last LC pair with my insurance were $680. And the pair I just got at my eye doc's (same ins, better frames) were $301. So there's that... After my dismal,disappointing August 2019 experience buying glasses at the Topanga Mall LensCrafters, I swore I'd never set foot in the place ever again; except I did. They truly are as bad as I thought last August; actually, worse. Today I went into LensCrapper because my frames were loose and I'd purchased them here. I asked if my glasses could be adjusted. One of their slackers wandered over and proceeded to put part of my glasses into a device which makes them pliable and soft. This caused the "temple tip" to break and Slacker laconically offered a replacement in colors other than the one of my glasses. He did not apologize nor say he was sorry nor even explain what happened -- just choose a color that doesn't match. I finally asked him if he had broken my glasses. He said he had and I was taken aback, mainly because of his laconic, apathetic response -- like he didn't give AF. Why is this person even employed? Why would I want part of my glasses to be a different color? Does this happen so often that it's a non-event for the employees? In August, I was shocked by the lack of customer service and the low supply of frames; I thought perhaps the store was closing and morale was low. But no! Some of the same rude, inattentive, arrogant, and incompetent ppl I saw in August were here in the new location today at the other end of the mall. The owner of LensCrapper should definitely go on _Undercover Boss_ and start at the Topanga Mall location. It's unbelievable they're still in the business. (Despite their ads, they are expensive.) It isn't every day one can give this kind of review. I've been seeing Dr. Jenny Park now for a few years in this location. She always looks after my whole eye health and makes sure I get my retinal scans. I really like her. She also just saved my life. Because we had years of retinal scans in the system to compare to each other, she saw something was wrong with me. She referred me to an emergency MRI and they discovered I had a brain tumor (benign). A tumor that needed to be removed immediately. Within one week of my visit with Dr. Park to neurosurgery at Cedars-Sinai the tumor is removed and I'm alive. I had no symptoms. The only thing that alerted was the diligent retinal scans and Dr. Park. The tumor was 2 inches big and was on its way to causing me to go into a coma and die. Now it's gone and I'm going to live like it was never there. I'm sure glad I made an eye appointment August 3rd. My gratitude is overwhelming and emotional. Great store and staff... The store manager (Mathew) was super helpful. There team are all extremely knowledgeable with both their products & services. This store happen to have the very last pair of a discontinued frames my wife had been looking for days for without any luck... Matt was kind enough to hold onto them till the following day for us.... (I will admit this Next part is our bad for not accounting for the amount of LA traffic we might encounter) that being said .... even after arriving later than expected (30 mins before closing)... and them still needing to be adjusted to fit her face exactly (adjustment time 20-30 mins)... they weren't pushy or trying to rush us out... they were an awesome company to deal with from the top down.... I went in today to get my eyeglasses adjusted and the lady was extremely rude and hesitant to even assist me, after explaining to her that I needed an adjustment she said your glasses are wide and there is nothing I can do to help. I went to simply get a print out of my prescription. They employee insisted that they would email me a copy. I called back at the end of the day because I still hadn't received anything. The employee then stated that she would send it "right now". Again, received nothing. They next day, I spent the majority of the day calling because they never answer the phone. Long story short, I still don't have a copy of my prescription. This would've been easily handled if the initial employer just printed it out like I asked.... read more

Came in to repair a pair of Armani prescriptions glasses and the miserable lady in front that's not even qualified to say anything told me I would have to have another exam and purchase a new pair. My wife and I were done with Lenscrafters in the Topanga Mall, because we thought their customer service left much to be desired. Last year, my mother in law needed glasses while visiting Los Angeles from Asia. Because she struggled with English, the young lady who helped her was rather impatient with her and my wife, to the point that they felt completely unappreciated by this store; So they ended up at a competitor in the same mall. Both my wife and I had decided we would be moving on from Lenscrafters, never to return. I just so happened to be at Macy's when I had a curiosity about a new Ray Ban pair of glasses and against my better judgement I entered the Lenscrafters store just to quickly ask a question and go. I was greeted by Susie, who was very nice, courteous, and genuinely made me feel appreciated by her excellent customer service. Her sincere and caring line of questioning revealed I had not done my eye exam in a couple of years, and she convinced me to schedule an eye exam with Dr. Chan, who was detailed and very concise in her explanations. After I exited, Susie again approached me and gave me my receipts, and in a non pushy way asked me if I would be interested in seeing any new glasses, and in less than a week I was the happy owner of a new pair of glasses at a great value price, and with my vision greatly improved. After I told my wife about Susie and the great experience I received, she agreed to return to Lenscrafters for her next scheduled exam. Thank You Susie for taking the time to convince this grumpy old curmudgeon, that you can still find great customer service at Lenscrafters in the Topanga Mall. Appointment times are nothing but a suggestion to these guys. While the staff are generally pleasant, the scheduling system has not been updated to allow more time for covid sanitizing between patients (not that that should take very long) - they literally schedule appointments every 15 mins. Perhaps they are expecting a certain number of no shows. Expect to wait at least 40 mins mid-week and at least 90 mins on a weekend - and then another hour once you've had your exam if you plan to get new lenses/frames. Its a minimum 2-hr visit at this place. On the positive side though, Dr Jenny Park was great and they have a decent selection of frames at reasonable prices. read more

Exceptionally poor customer service! The hinge holding the bow/arm of my glasses to the frame broke. I bought the frames at LensCrafters, so I took them to the same location to be repaired. I was told that the frames could not be repaired - which astounded me since it was such a simple issue. I was offered a replacement frame in a different color than the frames I had - and it would cost me $304.00. My only other choice was to buy new frames AND LENSES. I took my frames to a competing business, and my glasses were fixed in under five minutes, AND THEY DID IT FOR FREE! I was so impressed, I bought a back-up pair of frames on the spot for a fraction of LensCrafter's price. read more

I'm sad to see that this LensCrafters has such low reviews because my experience was definitely great! I made an appointment online. The process was super easy and I was able to schedule day-of! Unfortunately I had some issues with my insurance but the staff was very kind and explained all my options. During the exam, everything was cleaned which is very much appreciated considering the pandemic, and I didn't feel awkward or in the way for any of it. Dr. Lopez was very kind and cheerful. I tend to be nervous during these visits because I have no idea how optometry works and I don't like asking too many questions but again, I didn't feel like a burden at all! In the end, my checkout process went smoothly and the staff, again, was very very kind. I completely recommend booking beforehand for an eye appointment, it may fix some of the issues that some one-star reviewers faced! read more

Thank you Noah!!! I've had my glasses for about a year now. I purchased them in Sherman Oaks so it wasn't even at this location... anyway, the day I purchased them they were loose fitting on my face and always sliding down, or just a simple kiss from my husband would warrant them moving if his face grazed them. Very annoying. I'd visited the store at which I bought them 2 times in the last year asking if they could tighten them and they said no because "that's just how they are, you picked frames too big for your face, sorry hun." Um.. ok, they're the experts so I believed them. Yesterday they broke for no reason. I was taking them off my face at the end of the night and the screw decided it was done being a part of my glasses so the whole thing popped open and my lens flew out. I stopped in here tonight to see if there was anything that could be done since the original store was too far away. I expected to be charged, and get back the glasses I've always worn. Nope. This guy straight up takes them to the back, took maybe 5 minutes, and walked out with them with a new screw AND THEY WERE EXTREMELY TIGHT!!! For the first time EVER! I had no idea they were capable of being this tight fitting! They're literally perfect now and it's because this dude felt they were too loose and wanted to help me out. Oh and the best part - NO CHARGE! He did it for free! So THANK YOU BRO!!! If I wasn't currently 8 months pregnant I would have offered you some weed because that's some dope service! read more

Their evaluation starting from optometrist was inaccurate from start. It was done wrongly twice. They don't have control or appropriate knowledge on progressive technology, materials and thickness. The person taking care of my tests gave up on me, she just switched to another customer without completing my evaluation and left me behind. They proposed to return the value of the glasses only but not the optometrist eye exam, which I did not accept. If you come to this place and run under the same unprofessional situation do not accept any costs. With my feedback I want to help other people to stay away from LensCrafters Topanga. read more

I scheduled an eye exam here with Eye Exam of California because it's in-network for eyemed insurance. It's convenient to schedule an appointment online via the eyemed web site, but I called the store yesterday because I had some insurance questions that I wanted answered. The staff was really friendly and answered all my questions. Today I arrived at the Westfield Topanga mall about 30 minutes before my appointment, so I treated myself to a yummy Wetzel's Pretzel upstairs while waiting. I walked into LensCrafters about 5 minutes before my scheduled 6 pm appointment, filled out some paperwork, and the waited for about 45 MINUTES. :O Is that a normal wait time, or were they really backed up today?? When it was finally my turn, everyone that saw me was very friendly and provided great service. Dr. Jenny Park gave me a comprehensive eye exam and toric contact lens evaluation, and two assistants (sorry, I forgot their names, a guy and a girl) did some other tests (the air puff in the eye thing, colorblindness test, blood pressure monitoring, etc.) Dr. Park told me my prescription went up one point and that I could be a good candidate for LASIK. Too bad I've already stocked up on a year's supply of contact lenses in my current prescription, so maybe I'll finish up my current stock and wait to check out LASIK in two years. After insurance, I only had to pay $50. Score! I need to go back within 6 months for dilation, but there shouldn't be any additional charge because that is included in the comprehensive exam payment. Just need to remember to wear my glasses for that and to be prepared to have blurry vision for 4-6 hours afterwards. I liked how they got my email address and already sent me a reminder for another appointment in one year. It was 7:30 pm when I walked out the door, so total time including wait time was 1.5 hours. I dunno if that's considered long or normal for an eye exam. But all the staff was really friendly, so that totally made up for the wait. read more

I wish I can give them ZERO STAR. 2weeks ago I went there to get my new glasses there. I got there like 7:00pm and I choose some glasses. And white tall guy said send someone to me , so I was waiting until some coming. After half an hour, lady in counter said someone coming shortly, I asked lady if I can make my glass by today. She said should be fine because to make glasses about only 1hour. I was there around 7pm They close 9pm I was chatting with my friend, and I noticed that I was waiting almost 1 hour but no one take care of me It's about 8:00 Finally Asian old lady came to me. I was the only customer there at that time. They weren't even busy. The lady at counter was already left home. I asked asian lady, "Do I get my glasses by today? (This question was been asked already but)" She said " oh no, because we just stopped machine, we can't make today." It was 8:10pm. I was so pissed off! that's not fair!! I waited almost 1hour and nobody take care of me until pass 8pm,and she said can't make it because they stop god damn machine?! She said she can't do anything so I call manager. Lady manager said "how may I help you?" I explained everything and she said"I'm sorry, I keen you were here since earlier but I thought someone was helping you" Because u didn't manage anything even you weren't busy! Stupid manager!! And u can't help me anything. What a helpless service. She said there are only 2 choice, come buck tomorrow morning? Or make appointment for next time. This is f@@ked up!!
