Neat little place. Hike can be difficult if you're out of shape. I had never seen these before. read more

Definitely a nice hike but a little challenging for super small kiddos. The glyphs are cool but some have been vandalized.

If you like to hike out-of-way trails, you will love this place. It is a hidden jem. You will, very much, be in the thick of nature. There are no special attractions which make it great to be alone. I especially liked the shelter house with the old stone that has Native American carvings on it. Its a shame that other people carved their initials in it. What a horrible way to deface American history. Anyway, you might need to take a coffee can with you. Sometimes, there are not port-a-johns in the parking lot. read more

Leo Petroglyph is part of the Ohio History Connection's network of state memorials. It is a small site, comprising several acres. The central feature is the petroglyph which itself is fascinating. But do not miss the trail into the gorge which is some of the most scenic public land in the area. The small site has few amenities and is on back roads. You can see the whole place in two hours or less. Do not go there expecting the Hocking Hills or the Great Smokys, but for it size it packs a lot in. If your expectations are set accordingly it is a great place to visit. read more
