The room itself was exactly the same. Overall, the layout and king bed are always enjoyable, but the hard floor makes for a difficult experience if you're trying to do some in-room stretching/yoga/exercising. A couple things unique to my visit in Glasgow: -During check-in, it asked me what type of room I'd like (meaning, the level/view). I chose a lower room, as it said it was a city view. This was more like a view of the building across the street on the west side of the building. But the lower room was good because... -One of the elevators wasn't working when I checked in, so being able to take stairs up to my room was something I took advantage of. -The actual spot in Glasgow I found very convenient for my purposes. I was able to walk to the university area in about 25 min, as well as over to my favorite spot (Mono/Monorail) in the same amount of time. It was also very close to the Glasgow Queen St station. So all in all, a good experience and I would definitely stay here again.

The staff here are so lovely and welcoming and helpful and we had such a wonderful stay and would 100% stay again.

It's not so tall that the rooftop breakfast give you an amazing view. But at seven stories, you get a decent view. Down the street about two blocks is the city square with statues to make fun of lots of selfie opportunities. Also, a great meeting place for folks staying a lesser hotels. I noticed that there are lots of pictures of the booze in the room. I have to say, I took one. Decanters of actual whiskey, gin, and vodka - not your average hotel. But I decided to post a picture of the artwork in the hallway instead. Quick note about the staff: REALLY great staff. Two of us in my party needed to print something. Brian's way important, mine was not. But we both received great service and a concern for our needs. Afternoon Tea Experience…read more Came here to have a nice Afternoon Tea. We did stay just half an hour away for a couple of days and the Afternoon Tea looked excellent when we checked online. Made a reservation (a must) a few days before. Our Bulldog was welcome here as well which was great! There are several parking lots on the grounds, so we took one a bit further away from the building to enjoy a bit of a walk on the grounds before heading in. The Afternoon Tea is served in The Lobby Bar. Which might not sound exciting, but actually has a very comfy and classy setting. Some tables (which were taken already) with wonderful views. Got our table and got the Afternoon Tea explained. Then ordered some pots of tea - there's more complimentary tea in case one or two aren't enough. You even can switch to other flavours. Dilma tea is served here and has some excellent flavours. "Italian Almond", "Blueberry/Pomegranate" and "Rose, Marzipan & Mint" were all great. First served was Leak & Potatoe Soup, Haggis Bonbons, Vol-au-Vent, Quiche and various Finger Sandwiches (Scottish Smoked Salmon with Dill Butter | Roast Chicken & Cranberry | Cream Cheese & Cucumber | Brioche with Egg Mayo & Cress). All fantastic items. Nothing store-bought, really tasted housemade and homemade. Then Strawberry Pavlova, Chocolat Religieuse, Victoria Cake and Lemon Poppy Seed Cake. Third and last then the Scones with clotted cream and jam were served. This really is an experience and you won't go home hungry. Don't plan on any big meals later on....or before arriving. The quality is really high, it really rises above any other Afternoon Teas we've had in various places. Even a big name in London wasn't as good as this one. But not just taste-wise it was excellent, but also the presentation. All pieces of art. As great in taste as they look. Amazing. Service was nice and friendly and working hard. Just at the start there was a bit of confusion. First the tea didn't arrive. And when it did, there weren't any cups yet on the table until we've called. But that was a very minor issue that didn't bother our great experience here. And really: at 50$ pp it is fair priced. You get a lot of wonderful dishes and items here. You can also upgrade to an Afternoon Tea with Champagne or Sparkling Wine if you'd like to. Surely the best Afternoon Tea we've had so far. Highly recommended. Just back from a night here so I thought I'd write up a review while it was very fresh in my mind!…read moreWe booked here for a night away - a mini holiday, if you will. Booking was simple though the website and we went for the Friday night deal - complimentary cocktail each, £20 each off the dinner bill and breakfast for £119. We upgraded from the double room to a superior room, but it's worth noting that the website doesn't actually tell you what the difference is and I'm not actually sure the room seemed any more superior than a standard room. I'm not really a fan of the hotel from the outside - I think it looks like an IT business. Inside though, it is super slick, modern and classy. There has been a lot of work put into the decor and we spent a good amount of time over lunch talking about how cool it is. There's free wifi throughout, both the rooms and the public areas which is handy. I'll try to split my review up into easy to manage parts from here on in. The bar: We ate in the bar for lunch - a lot of the meals are also starters on the evening menu so it was a good way of trying as much of the menu as possible. I had the lemon sole goujons which came with chips. Some of the best chips I've ever eaten, they were so good they even overshadowed the goujons which seemed a little bland by comparison. I also started on the cocktail menu and loved everything I had - they can do cocktails off menu as well, and this one was the only one I found a little disappointing. I like my espresso martinis on the sweeter side and this was definitely savoury but still pleasant enough. The bar was a really nice place to sit and have a drink and we found ourselves back down here before dinner. There's lots of nice nooks, couches and cushions so you can have a good chat with your beloved without feeling like there's other people too close by. The restaurant: Adjacent to the bar is the restaurant which again, has the same great design elements as well as comfortable arm chairs at the tables. The tables were all nicely spaced out so you weren't right by another table - maybe if it was full this would be an issue. I did have to ask to switch seats with Graeme though as there was an air con blowing right on my back, he didn't seem to mind. The menu is impressive and I was interested to see if the dishes would live up to their luscious description. I had hand dived scallops with chive butter and pea shoots (£12.50) and then the 9 oz fillet of Scotch beef for main with bearnaise and a side of sprouting broccoli hollandaise (£29.95). The scallops were really small so I was a little disappointed when they arrived, but that went away when I tasted how good they were. Succulent, juicy and sweet, the chive butter was a great sauce to go with it and possibly a few more pea shoots would've been nice. The steak was also great - not the best steak I've ever eaten but still damn good. It did cool down really quickly, possibly because of the cold plates but apart from that I really can't complain. Again, I was really impressed by the chips (chunky cut this time) but when they cooled down they lost their lovely crunch. I wasn't going to get dessert but seeing passionfruit souffle with coconut sorbet on the list blew my mind and I knew I had to have it. The waiter helpfully checked whether there was dairy in the dish so I ordered it, but I'm pretty sure it was served with a side of cream which was weird. The souffle was lovely but really got far too sweet after about 1/4 which was a shame - it needed that cream to cut through the sweetness but I couldn't eat it. The sorbet was lovely but again very sugary sweet. I also enjoyed that they served wines by the carafe so you could have 1/2 a bottle and then switch to something else - the rosé and albarino were both lovely. Overall it was a very good meal with helpful and friendly service. The bill was a little more than we were expecting but probably all the cocktails and wine was to blame. The hotel: As I mentioned above, we paid for a superior room but I'm still not sure what the superior aspect was as it seemed standard - bed, ensuite. There wasn't any couches, lounges and the size didn't seem overly generous. But apart from that, the room was perfect. A lovely leather bed which was super comfortable. The biggest pillow I've ever seen in my life. A couple of freshly baked cookies on the desk under a glass cloche. A good sized bathroom with a shower/rainfall option and nice toiletries. The bed was super comfortable to sleep in and the doona/duvet was light and warm at the same time. It was a little chilly in the room and even when we left the heating on it didn't warm up a whole lot, and in the morning the bathroom was pretty chilly. For a mini-holiday close to Glasgow, I'd definitely return here as it really did feel like a proper holiday in a very romantic, cosy hotel.

It is somewhere I always for get is there due to its quite isolated location in the centre of the large Eurocentral Business Park. The exterior of the hotel is just like a large office building, black and dark grey and very minimalist. In entering it, again was pretty dark, however lots of candle light and open space which created a nice atmosphere. I loved the open fire that was shared between the front reception and the seating area in the bar. There are a variety of large comfy couches, chairs and little private seating areas that appeared to be used by people there on business making phone calls and utilising the free wifi throughout the whole hotel. We sat in the bar for a drink, I was driving unfortunately so was on the sparkling water. However there are lots of fantastic cocktails on offer, and a wide range of beers and spirits. Nice open bar area where you can comfortably sit, or again make use of the variety of seats and areas in this space. The dining area has large slatted wooden walls which separated this area, however keep it feeling open and spacious. The menu had a fantastic selection of great sounding dishes. The staff were extremely attentive and highlighted dishes of the day, and certain elements of the menu. I selected the mussels to start then the Thai baked sea bass for main. My friend had the Oriental Pork salad with mint, coriander and bean sprouts, Rib eye (12oz) with char grilled courgettes and pecorino. My mussels were sweet and well cooked in a light cream, wine and garlic sauce. Not too big a portion, with a wee dish of hot water and lemon on the side for the messing fingers. My fish was delicious. The Thai flavours really came through, and a paste with ginger, chilli, lemon grass etc appeared to have been made and placed under the skin prior to cooking. The fish was completely filleted which was great, and so easy eat. Pak choi was tasty with a wee kick from the chilli, and just the perfect portion of light and fluffy basmati rice. The menu is a bit on the pricey side, however the food was prepared to a high standard, the staff were extremely helpful and attentive. I would definitely return and possibly without the car or have an overnight to enjoy the cocktails and rest of the hotel facilities.

The gravy gave it great richness and the potatoes added on to it. The bangers were okay, I believe that the gravy and the potatoes were what made the plate so delicious. Don't get me wrong though, the bangers are key to the dish and made it that much more appetizing to consume. I have never had Sticky Toffee Pudding and was told to try it on my visit to Scotland. I do not regret trying it. In fact, I wish I ordered 3 of those from there. I want to say it tops my favorite dessert Tiramisu but I have to think about that statement. If you want a dessert, I HIGHLY recommend the Sticky Toffee Pudding!!

It's wonderful to see how business competitors can work together when a disaster occurs; the voco Grand Central and Radisson are shining examples of that cooperation and teamwork. The Radisson Blu managed to re-create our meeting within 30 days (our start date was 14 April), and everything worked seamlessly. Even with numerous changes, the hotel staff took care to ensure everything ran smoothly. Transportation from the airport to the hotel was easy (about GBP38 by Taxi). Our Team thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. The guest rooms were very nice and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly, professional, responsive, and dedicated to ensure our meeting ran smoothly. The Meeting Room was spacious, A/V was plug/play, and the daily food/beverage were of very good quality with a great selection. They diligently took the (shellfish) food allergies and (Halal, Kosher) dietary restrictions into consideration providing meals that could be enjoyed by all. It's a terrific location with Glasgow Central Station (train) just steps away and numerous pubs, restaurants, and the Argyle Street shopping district just down the street in any direction. I definitely recommend this property for both groups and leisure travelers.

We went back down to get another one. That didn't work either. Michele came up with us and her keys didn't work either. Engineering came to fix the door. They assured us that we would no longer have any problems. A couple of hours later, we went back to our room. Our key didn't work again. Eventually, we were moved to another room with some complimentary breakfast. The hotel is no doubt dated in comparison to other locations. However, it does have amenities we enjoyed: a pool, which was a little circuitous to get to, a gym, and an ice machine. As Michele mentioned, the hotel doesn't have great views. Our first room had a view of other hotel room windows. Our second room had a partial view of Glasgow Central Station and Hope Street. Our room was fairly spacious. The breakfast buffet had many options, even a la carte items. Grahamston was terrible. The service was slow and inattentive. City Sightseeing bus stopped right in front of the hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.

There was a small fridge in the room with complimentary water and wafers, as well as an electric along with tea, instant coffee and hot chocolate. Our room was really quiet (we stayed on the 5th floor, not facing the street) and the blackout curtains made the room really dark which was great for getting a good night sleep. Breakfast was outstanding with some buffet options like yogurt, fruit, cheese, cold cuts, cereal, breads as well as a menu with hot egg options such as a full Scottish breakfast, eggs Benedict, porridge, etc all included. There were two coffee machines with espresso based coffee options as well as hot water for tea and filtered coffee. There's a small gym in the basement floor that had a few cardio machines, free dumbbell weights and a cable machine with pull-up bar, all of the necessary equipment to get a good workout in. The hotel location was also very convenient, close to George square, central station, as well as restaurants and convenience stores.
