The stuff is nice but the price did give me a sticker shock. Despite items being on sale it was dear. I have shopped at many places that sell Scandinavian goods for home but not as expensive as this. Needless to say we walked out empty handed. The stuff is very nice but not worth the money in my opinion. Some things were truly beautiful but still very pricey for what it was. For example we found some nice placemats for the dinner table made from good quality leather but at €34 each having to buy 6-8 of them means it's one expensive dinner table layout ;-)) you get the idea :-)

My small complaint might be petty: I love the heavy Speck Stoneware of the bottle of the Obstlers, but 29 € are a still price to pay? Delicious: the chocolate truffles.

We don't have a store where I live. My mother and I went to the store a few days ago, and I found the suit I wanted to try on. It was great because they were having a 20% off sale. There were several ladies working in the store, but not one came over to where I was looking for the pieces to ask if I needed any help. My mom sat down outside of the dressing room to wait for me. This whole time not one person came to see if we needed any assistance. Not even when I walked around the store in GS pieces to find another size. When I was done trying on, we went towards the back where they have their clearance items. This whole time I'm carrying all the pieces I want to buy, making it a bit awkward to look at more. I was happy to find another beautiful dress in the back that had a "2 Wahl" tag on it, which means it has some flaw. I didn't mind, but I had to choose between two that I liked. There was one sales associate in the whole store when I approached her for her opinion that was actually nice. Everyone else in the store was just folding and moving clothes back-and-forth, but there was no interaction at at all with the customers in the store. Maybe they are trained not to talk to people? We ended up buying a few items and my mother signed up for the loyalty club. But I will tell you that the lady who checked us out was very flustered, I'm not sure if she was new and in training, but she was not very friendly about the whole situation. Today we happened to be downtown, so we went back to the store because my mom decided she wanted to get a few items that she saw the first time. Yet again, there are lots of women working in the store and not one of them greets us or ask us if we need any help while we were in the store for at least 30 minutes . We found all the things we wanted on our own, I even found another little treasure, and we went to check out. First, we waited for a while at the cash register while somebody else was being checked out and was being helped to order something that was out of stock in the store. Then someone came from the back and asked if we wanted to pay. I don't know what the problem here is, but everyone is so unfriendly. How can you be so unfriendly when you work at a place that sells such happy clothes? Or maybe I'm too American and think that saying hello and asking if someone found everything or needs help is a must? Or maybe when you are selling happy clothes you could ask the customer something nice or tell them they found a great item etc. Instead, the lady who checked out my mother whose name I believe was Margit, literally acted like she was doing her a favor.. Remember, I am the one who likes these clothes, and my mother is new to this brand and came to the store with me. She could be a brand new customer for these people because she likes the clothes and lives near the store. With all of that said, if you love Gudruns clothes this is a very nice store because they do have a large selection. They also have a trade closet where you can bring your used items and trade them for something else which I think is fabulous. Also, there is a clearance section in the back that seems to be stocked fairly often. The one thing I did notice is that there are a lot of sizes XS, S, and XXL. and not much in between that goes for the clearance section as well as the rest of the store. The store is really easy to find if you take public transportation, just take the train to the Hauptwache, and it's right up the street. I will also be sending this review directly to the company. Mainly because these pieces are not cheap and many people, like me, who wear them follow this brand for both their style and their ethics. I feel that if you're going to sell a brand like this there should be some kind of Customer Service training, because these two visits put a dark vibe on something that I usually enjoy.
