While in Lansing on business, my colleagues and I stopped in dinner. I had heard that olive burger was a Lansing thing and Leroys had one on the menu, along with a coney dog, so to Leroys we went. We sat in the middle room, off of the main bar area and were by ourselves. The bar was fairly lively for a Monday night, but we were greeted promply with a smile. Beers and food were delivered quickly. Everything was solid, but nothing blew me away. The olive burger was fairly one-note, but it was true to what I had read about it. The burger patty was good and the onion rings were solid. The coney dog tasted like a typical chili dog. All said, good food and good service. read more

This place is a Lansing classic. I live in LA but EVERYTIME I am home I have to get a classic burger and some fried mushrooms. This place is a local gem. I am only sad that they got rid of the pool tables. Those were perfect. read more

This Iconic Bar & Grill has great Cocktails & delicious food. I was very impressed with a "smash" Burger with cheddar & bacon - it came with fries & It was very nicely cooked . The prices are very reasonable & the atmosphere is casual & the Staff is very friendly. The only reason I didn't give it 5 Stars is that - we - like most of our friends like to sit on the Bar side in a Bar & Grill - it has more ambiance... but sadly - they only have " 2 " Booths !! The Dining room area is Ok - but outdated & the back room Patio area - altho done nice - doesn't have a great coziness or ambiance that is nice to have when eating out . All in all - I do recommend people to pop by there. It's an experience you shouldn't miss. read more

We went to dinner last night and service was very slow. Additionally, one of the hamburgers had a long hair cooked into it; which was discovered half way through the meal. We mentioned this to the waitress and she casually mentioned the cook had long hair, but did not offer a new hamburger, nor take it off the bill. I would not have paid for it, but was not buying. This is the bar we have been looking for, a half way spot to meet up with friends and family. It seemed like a well run family owned place (not sure)The workers were friendly and fun. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. A good assortment of liquor and beer. It was clean as well. Everything you look for when spending time out. We will be back. Very cool spot! I was told that they have some of the best sandwiches in MI. They have a very nice list, but I was told the Classic Slapper was the way to go. The Slapper includes steak, ham, lettuce, tomatoes and mayo. Very delicious and was on point from the recommendation I got. Leroy's was a pleasant surprise. We stopped in after researching a spot across the street but on a whim changed our minds. I'm so glad we did. We ordered the chicken special and the the rodeo burger. Both came out quickly and were very good, we shared both because we couldn't decide what to get. The drinks were strong and delicious, I'm the kind of drinker that doesn't have a standard drink so I let Paul (I think that was the bartenders name) create something. He made two different delicious drinks. They even have pool and darts which would allow for a wonderful date night or a night out with the guys or girls. Quite the solid establishment. If REO Town can keep places like this going strong and add a few more nicer/upscale places, it's going to be just fine in the long run. It's got a very laid back, easy, local feel. Nothing fancy, but clean and well kept. A long line of dart boards, a pool table or two, and a back patio/sun room that can be reserved offer good entertainment options. There's not a ton on tap; the most exotic being Sam Adams seasonal and Guinness, but the prices are right. Add to it that it's one of the best burgers I've had in Lansing, and you've got a place I will be back at in the near future. Fresh beef, flavorful hot buns, quality ingredients - what more can you ask for in a burger? Maybe some more options for toppings, but they do well with what they've got. read more

We love(d) their patty melts and have been going for years. My only complaint now is I can't order by phone to go because they just don't answer. I called like 10 times over a half hour on 3 different days at different times 5pm, 8pm and 9pm this week. I live two blocks away and stop in frequently. It is very clean; staff is good, and has been in the family for years...I've seen many times the owner pouring drinks as his son cooks. Nice pool tables and dart boards. Leagues for pool and darts. Happy hour 3-6 and open from 7am till 2am except Sunday...4pm till 2am. Great bar food...nothing fancy, but done very well and extremely reasonable...I get the 6" personal pizza alot for $3.95 and it's deluxe. Many burger choices and sandwiches I still need to try on the menu. Has outside smoking area as well. Only thing that ticked me off was the extra $1.00 for Parmesan cheese I put on my pizza because I use alot and it happened twice, so I eat it without now. read more

Mediocre Service unless you're hugging the bar. Good atmosphere and crowds. Just disappointed that as a customer that one would go unnoticed and often ignored even with eye contact.
