Not bad not great. If you're looking for a crêpe, they've got them and as far as the crêpe itself it's actually flavored pretty good. I have found too many of the sweet crêpes in France have too much of the egg flavor. Overall, they did a poor job on toppings, and I would say three out of five stars I've had better crêpes from Street vendors, but I've also had worse crêpes as well read more

Twilight arrived on the Champs-Élysées just as we did. Yet, as the Paris night began to twinkle, our energy was fading. We were hungry. We needed food. We wanted French, but, seriously, any crêpe would do. Luckily, Les Écuries was just a half block away. The wagon wheel tables and horse decor played off the restaurant name which means "The Stables." The dark wood setting was eccentric ... as was the service. France, you be you. Sweet Crêpes will be popular for the mostly tourist clientele; however we selected two of the savory crêpes. Maybe savory got lost in translation because neither was. If bland was a flavor, Les Écuries nailed it. A Super Complete Crêpe comes loaded with Ham, Cheese, Egg, Sausage, & Mushroom (Jambon, Œuf, Fromage, Francfort, & Champignons). I think I prefer my crêpes more incomplete because I liked a Salted Butter Crêpe (Salée Beurre) better. For comfort, I cozied put to a warm bowl of Handmade Onion Soup (Soupe à l'oignon Maison). Our hunger had been sated despite the boredom our taste buds endured from the crêpes they were serving. So this place is cute and they DO NOT want you taking videos for some weird ass reason. So don't do that. BUT the guy makes the crepes fresh, in front of your face- in the center of the room. - they don't have Nutella here so know that before you walk in and are disappointed (like I was) - If you don't specify that you want tap water they will just bring out a glass bottle of Evian and charge you for it (tastes so good tho) - it's cute and quaint and reminds me of a cute little log cabin. Doesnt look like much when you wak by but this place blew me away! We were waiting at Laudree for almost two hours just to find our they dont have food. They were very disrespectful. It's always nice to know your right, when you see other people complain about the same problems. Firstly service, secondly service and thirdly service. They are perpetually in the weeds. I ordered an onion soup, which was more of an onion broth with a slice of bread. Maybe it's the Americans that altered that recipe by actually putting onions in it, along with cheese. For dessert I ordered the crepes flambé which never came. As I watch other customers frustration I gather that it isn't an impatient American thing, they are truly lost, I'm glad I don't speak the language now as my short fuse I posses is never pleasant. My mom would always bring me here during my childhood. It used to be her favorite restaurant and we would always order (almost) the same thing. I try to go back whenever I visit my hometown as it just brings back so many memories! + Food: Galette complète I always order this kind of galette. Went here for a late night snack and it was delicious. Went back for a 2nd visit only to be insulted by the o. All tables were full. The gentleman said 15min. No place inside to wait so was waiting patiently outside. The owner, I believe, kept giving us dirty looks like we were messing up the looks of his restaurant. Finally he came out and shewd us away. I have been eating crepes for over 30-years. I think I know my crepes. First off, they didn't have Nutella--only chocolate. The menu says that this establishment was opened in 1969, and perhaps Nutella wasn't available. But this is 2017, and Nutella is the norm. We ordered the dark chocolate. First the shape is odd--they fold it in a square. Then they poured hot chocolate on top. The chocolate was not very good. Next we ordered a ham and cheese savory one "to go" for someone back at our hotel. We could see them make it right in front of us. As soon as she put the ham and cheese on it and folded it, she took it off the heat and started wrapping it in foil to go. I politely asked if she could make it very hot because we had to walk back to the hotel. By the cook's and the waiter's expression, you would thought I had farted. They told me that it was hot and the cheese would be melted. I said, "Fine", but I knew it wasn't. Hey, a-hole, it was cold when I got back! But thanks, I had my first rude Parisian experience. Everyone else has been so nice. Save the attitude. We have too many choices these days to deal with this type of arrogant attitude. Fellow crepes lovers, I encourage you to go to the Latin Quarter for your crepes. You'll have a better selection of where to go, and they're nicer and the area has a lot of energy. read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Atmosphere was cozy and authentic, and the owner was extremely attentive and accommodating. We had the crepes with eggs, bacon, sausage and cheese (yeah, so fattening) and enjoyed every awesome calorie. We tried to come back at 4 for a sweet crepe (to split!), but they were closed, reopening at 6... We left disappointed... So glad we tripped upon that place, though. Pricey (like everything in Paris) - 38 Euro for 2 crepes and coffee (before tip.) We'd still do it again. :) read more

Oh my! I found this jewel in 1977, tried to eat there on a Sunday in 1980 (closed. C'est domage!). However, my husband and I were staying nearby and had to see if the restaurant were still there. Voila! The same delicious, authentic crepes I remembered. Buckwheat for savory, white flour for dessert. Last night, we had a savoury with smoked and chèvre cheese. So flavourful. Then, we had the delice orange with vanilla ice cream and Grand Marnier generously poured over. It was all so wonderful and so unavailable in the US that we went back tonight. Spinach, chèvre and mushrooms sautéed in garlic, lots of garlic. For dessert, we wanted something we could surely never find in California: quince sautéed in butter and sugar, the flambeed with Calvados. Wow. Service was so friendly and warm. We could not have had a better meal or atmosphere. All the lovely horses still decorate the room as they did 40 years ago. It really is a treat to eat there. Our only complaint was that the bathroom was downstairs. read more
