This restaurant at the feet of the St Maurice Cathedral has a warm, informal atmosphere, kind of…read moreintroducing the Mediterranean style of living: the Chef leaving HIS kitchen to greet us in HIS best French, explaining us as for the first time that Restique means Restaurant-Boutique while pointing onto the many shelves overloaded with a variety of 'to-take-out' traditional products, and soon teaching us about the famous local wines St Joseph, Condrieu, Hermitage (plus a few others I don't quite remember now). We faithfully opted for a St Joseph, believing it could only be a blessing for us (and it was!!!). The traditional Plat du Jour 'Quenelles à la Lyonnaise' (just don't ask how it is made!) was served pretty fast. An other sens.ational experience 'à la francaise'.
