"Midi express" is a quick 1 hour class; 1/2 cooking. 1/2 eating but they never rush you. Spotless kitchen. Chef Alex is an exceptional chef & teacher. Really puts you at ease, explains techniques very well. Coco was a gracious host, offering us wine and bringing it into the kitchen classroom for us. We cooked a pork tenderloin with an unusual compound butter of horseradish, lemon, parsley. Delicious. They send you the recipe the next day. A delightful experience. Even if you are staying in Vieux Quebec (as we were) it is totally worth an Uber ride to their class. Must go!

Few things to note that made it perfect: it's conveniently located to where I work, the session we took is design to fit your lunch time (30 mins to cook & 30 mins to eat), the cost for the experience was such a great bargain (about 25 bucks) and you walk away with a brand new recipe that you can use later on to entertain and impress your future guests. We learned how to make this delicious smoked salmon risotto with asparagus in a butter sauce (yum!). The chef/instructor was great to follow, he explained everything in details and most importantly he made sure that everyone was included and felt part of the whole process, it was a total of 7 of us and we each played a vital role in the final presentation (and taste) of the risotto. If you're ever in Quebec City for more than a day, looking to do something fun, maybe involve a big group as an outing, this is a great way to learn something new, have fun doing it and taste the fruits of your hard labor! A must try:)
