Just a short, South-West, walk away from Porte Dauphine, right at the edge of the Lac Inférieur sits a small, wooden shack which enables locals and tourists alike to rent a rowing boat. At 10€ per hour, it's not exactly cheap but the service has been around for decades and still remains a pretty popular thing to do on a nice, sunny day outside.
The row boats themselves aren't special in any way but remain unchanged over the years. They're wooden, well maintained but will require a little elbow grease to get going. It is however worth it and a lot of fun, for kids and adults alike.
The lake itself is pretty big and is located in the scenic Bois de Boulogne which makes for a fun adventure albeit a pricey one. read more
