For starters I had the truite (trout) with asparagus. Main course was filet de sandrine (a fish), and dessert was poached pears and a scoop of wonderful berry ice cream. Everything was prepared very well and absolutely delicious. Hopefully next time we will not be there when the service is distracted by a large group.

Our party of four was welcomed and promptly seated in the dining room on the left of the entry, which is our preference. The menu was full of tempting options but we finally made our selections. Between the four of us we managed to try most everything on the menu. Everything was delicious, and we can't wait to return.

La Promenade is the last thing you would expect in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere: a smallish…read morerestaurant offering michelin-starred French cuisine. The set menus offer a less expensive way to enjoy the food here, but it's still excellent quality. The staff are helpful and attentive, and the sommelier more than glad to help with choosing a wine. The desserts are particularly spectacular. It might be a bit out of the way, but if you find yourself touring the chateaux of the Loire, a detour through the farms and fields to dine here is well worth it.
