The owner of this shop was super friendly - he speaks both French and English - and the shop was full with all kinds of yummy goods- cheeses, wines, scotches, rums, saucisses.. etc We gave our email address for the future events and menus and left. We received a email about this week wine tasting, deals and menu on Monday and decided to try it today, Saturday lunch. Everything we had - which was all for this week :) - was excellent! You can consume a bottle or bottles of wine same price as you take it to go which I found extremely good deal, considering that usuall places in Montpellier, they charge double for drinking in their bars, restaurants or cafes. The food was comfy home style food; very nice portion - the terrine and cheese plates, you can eat as much as you want! That was insane! So good that we wanted eat forever :) - extremely good value for the money you pay. The location is out of the tourist area - it's like 2 block from the famous le Jardin de sens restaurant. - but because of that we had very nice leisurely lunch with a nice bottle of wine - the owner, Fabien recommended Carcassone wine, about 11 euro? - we enjoyed a lot! If you happen to be in Montpellier, sick of all the tourist area like Comédie, Don't hesitate to try this little gem! You won't regret! We will definitely go back next week and more!

Probably not, but this shop is the best I have seen and…read moreeach visit is a lesson in oenology ending with lots of exciting new wine to try which is not available outside of France. Over the last 2 years we have made more discoveries in 4 visits to this store than in the remaining 100 weeks in the UK. The focus is on the Languedoc as you would expect given the shop's location. However, unusual bottles are on offer from around France with the Loire being another area which is well represented. There is also an interesting selection of whisky and rum if that is your thing. Either way, a visit here is very worthwhile - put yourself in the hands of the owners and you will not go wrong!
