Home baked fresh bread with seasoned olives for the table, no charge. My dinner started with a fresh Porcini Mushroom appetizer that was too die for and the main course a grilled SteinButt filet from the waters of Spain grilled to perfection simply seasoned with sea salt, olive oil and a rosemary twig with a side of roasted veggies. Absolutely phenomenal dinner which will never be forgotten. This is a gem of a restaurant, there is no printed menu! Instead the daily selections are written on a chalkboard narrated by the charming owner who is the server as well. The schnitzel was the best we ever had - I could have it every day if portions were about a third the size. The Herrencreme was yummy, not overly sweet, and something we would definitely want to try making at home. Alas, Münster does not have its own beer, so we tried one from Dortmund, Brinkhoff's No. 1. However, the appetizer and the main course came in together about 40 MINUTES later. They acknowledged that they messed up, but did nothing to rectify it. The flavors were good. In Front of the restaurant there is a small mini-golf course, ideal for children. You can also go Kayaking there. It is generally very idyllic but at the same time overrun with people on said sunny days. There is also (Summer 2015) a BBQ-stand outside that looked and smelled quite promising. Long review short: Nice wine and drinks selection, rustic "old school" waiters bordering on rude, great garden/lake terrasse in summer, cosy interior for winter. I experienced dirty Toilets. Food is alright but uninspired. Fresh and well put together - but also kind of boring. Bottom line is: In hindsight I would much rather have tried out the BBQ-stand outside.
