We ordered two appetizers from the featured menu on blackboard. BF ordered a salmon main from it as well. I opted for a fish burger from the regular, printed menu. The shrimps and mussels appetizers, as well as the salmon main, were dressed in a creamy sauce. BF enjoyed the fresh mussels and the sizable salmon filet very much. My shrimp app was heavenly delicious. The fish burger was disappointing, however, as the fish patty was made from a frozen, preformed, squared patty. Services was professional. You can tell they are made super fresh and with love. The meat fondue is so tasty and FILLING. It's also all you can eat, but we didn't get past the first go. The service is also something that makes this place stand out. I've been traveling through Europe for two weeks and this place had the best service hands down. The owner was so friendly, attentive, and funny. 10/10 would recommend and I will be back if I find myself in Brussels again.

The staff is so inviting and we were lucky to grab a table without reservations (but don't follow our cue: call and make a reservation!). Although I have tried fondue dinners before, where you cook small pieces of meat and veggies in hot oil, we opted for the cheese fondue and loved every bite! The cheese fondue is simply bread and a bowl of cheese (with lots of tasty additional spices), but we added a meat board to supplement the meal. Definitely the right choice! Whether a local or a traveler, I would highly recommend Lyly's Fondue for your next meal in Brussels!
