My wife, and I split the cote de boeuf which they call the rib of beef for two, and it was every bit as phenomenal as our favorite place in Les halles, Paris. They also had a very nice Willamette Valley Pinot on the menu that was about 50 pounds which is high, but was a good choice. I know a lot of people wouldn't choose it to go along with well marbled beef, but well hey, that's just like your opinion man. Also we ordered the pomme frites(which thankfully were not british chips, and they even denote this fact on the menu), and they were done perfectly. We split the mac, and cheese, and that was good too, but I think next time we'll go with the creamed spinach. After this meal I feel like I can trust their kitchen to do it properly. The service was also very professional yet still quite personable. I must admit, even though my wife was excited that we stumbled on a Brasserie in London I began this experience with a very skeptical attitude, but they won me over. So much so that I emailed them to ask them about gift vouchers for friends in London, and they got back the same day with a form for me to fill out, and return. From start to finish they've shown me this is a place that cares about repeat customers. Tell me you can name five places off the top of your head you can say all this about. Because I can't. Especially not in the UK. read more
