As a fellow burger enthusiast WOOOOOOW! This burger was finger licking good! I had to EMPHASIS to…read morethe waiter I don't do anything but WELL WELL WELL DONE! NothiNg like being overseas and having to go to the hospital! AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT! The place is by the old port tucked away on a quiet side street with other rather unique dining options. It's very strangely built with that Amsterdam esk spiral staircase to the bathroom upstairs that if you fall your DEFINITELY going to the hospital because you for sure broke something AND it has NO rails. Cuidado Por favor!!! My French is SO rusty, speaking French is like stepping on a rusty nail, YIKKKKES! So we tried to use google translate and my Spanish kind of helped with a tiny bit of translation as you could guess some of the ingredients but we just went with the first burger on the menu which seemed the most basic! The cheese on the burger over flowed like a beautiful water fall and it was enough to dip in half the potatoes! Wow that cheese was good! The burger was surprisingly NOT DRY even tho I asked for it well done. It just was a really good filling burger! It was PACKED when we went and PACKED when we left. And most people were French because of us ease dropping on others conversations so I think it's safe to say that it may be a local hangout. Anywho, just try it!!

Good American-style burger. Flavorful, fresh produce. I do not recommend the cheddar sauce, which…read morehad weak flavor and was messy. They served home fries rather than French fries/pommes frites which seems incongruous since this is France and it's a burger place. But they were delicious--perfectly cooked golden potatoes. The side of Cole slaw did not look like much but it tasted good. Obviously fresh cabbage with a bit of red onion and red pepper, very light vinegar flavor, almost like it was flash pickled. Nice counterpoint. Nice outdoor seating on a side street just off the vieux port.

Our first night in Aubagbe we decided somewhat randomly to go to Zeu Burger and it turned out to be…read morea fantastic choice. An owner (or manager?) came out and was very friendly, talked with us about where we are from and our trip. We ordered burgers which were very good and served with a little cole slaw and steak fries. The cheese cake made a good dessert along with the very reasonably priced espresso (€1). A group of locals came in and started talking to us about our travels and ended up, very nicely, buying us a cheese and cured meats platter! Delicious and amazingly kind. On our way out the same owner or manager called after us saying goodbye. I would highly recommend this place just for the people alone but the food is also very good and a fantastic deal.

It's quite tucked away from the main area of the city but it's worth the uphill walk. Once you arrive you will be welcomed by a small little diner type venue - note there is not much seating. So it's more of a takeaway place. Anyway we ordered two cheeseburgers, you are given options of the type of cheese you would like, after all you are in France. The burgers were cooked to perfection and totally worth the great reviews that it has been gaining. The ambiance of the restaurant is very relaxed and the staff mainly comprising of the chef and the guy operating the till and phone were friendly and talkative.
