Professional nurseries are a bit too hard core for us. Jardinerie Roy et Fils is THE place to go in the Geneva region. We had driven by this place many times (on the way to Le Prieure in Thonon) and wondered at its beautiful plants. Now that we take care of a largish garden, it has become our little mecca. The love the owners pour into their plants is evident in the quality you find, but also the reasonable prices. You can get just about anything here, from humble pots to CHF15K sculpted pine trees. Not too much in the way of distractions from the stars of the place, the flowers, and it is so big, and mostly outdoor, that you don't feel cramped. Needless to say, we have had some entertaining how does this huge thing fit into our car discussions since venturing in there, and will continue to do so.
