We travel often and regularly stay at luxury hotels, so we understand that premium service comes…read morewith premium pricing. Unfortunately, our experience here felt misleading and deeply disappointing. We were specifically told that our transfer price included a short lunch stop along the way. Only after the trip did we discover we were charged an additional €300 for that brief stop -- on top of an already extremely expensive transfer. The total cost for a 3 hour and 45 minute transfer was €975. To put that into perspective, during this same trip we booked three separate 8-hour private tours with private drivers through other 5-star hotels in France, and every one of those full-day experiences cost less than this transfer. Beyond the billing issues, we also dealt with multiple contradictory explanations from staff, incorrect charges, a bedroom AC that did not work properly, and a television that repeatedly malfunctioned. What was most concerning was the overall tone when these issues were raised. During our stay, we witnessed several other guests in loud disputes with hotel staff in the lobby, which suggested we were not the only ones experiencing problems. Had everything been explained honestly upfront, this review would likely not exist. We are happy to pay for excellent service. What we object to is feeling misled. Beautiful property, but the lack of transparency and professionalism completely overshadowed the experience.

Everyone was polite, friendly, and accommodating, and gave us free champagnes on the rooftop lounge while waiting for our room, and when we got to our rooms, it was fresh and clean. Room service was so fast, readied in 20 minutes, where we ordered truffle cod, risotto, pizza and fries. They also gave us a large basket of bread, as it is a must in France, and every condiment possible. I could have been full with just the bread basket and all the butter. Everything was fresh and delicious. Reception was fast to check us in and out, the concierge was helpful in recommending and booking a lunch at the Tahiti, after learning that we like somewhere calm and good for swimming. The hotel shuttle took us to the beach, free of charge, and on return, we didn't have our phone, so the Tahiti restaurant happily called the hotel shuttle for us, the shuttle driver also walked all the way inside the restaurent to look for us. Everything was perfect! The drivers are so well dressed and nice. It was just the 2 of us in the shuttle, felt like a private luxury experience. Also, you don't want to drive in Saint Tropez. It's a nightware and parking is impossible. I loved the hotel beach bag, and ask the receptionist for it. It was price at €20, and she just gave it to me for free. That was so nice of her.

As you make your grand entrance through the front gate, you quickly understand that you're in for an experience of a lifetime. ROOM. Please see for yourself. I've attached a few photos. Not only was the room fantastic, the view from the room and the terrace was even better. One of my favorite Airelles perks is the $500 Dyson hair dryer in the bathroom. After you've tried it once, you question how you could have used anything else on your hair. FOOD. For brunch each day, we did the buffet with at least 100 food items. What's not to love. The dining area was not only beautiful, but serene. As for dinner, all our reservations were made by the concierge before we arrived. We had one hiccup on the first night, though. When we got into the hotel's shuttle to go to dinner, our driver informed us that the restaurant was closed. We went inside to have the concierge confirm, and indeed, it was closed. The concierge quickly pivoted and got us immediate seating at the fully booked sushi restaurant onsite. It was a very lovely meal. GROUNDS. One of the big differences between the St. Tropez and Gordes hotels is the amount of property they sit on. Whereby the Gordes hotel is a palace built into the side of a mountain in the middle of town, the St. Tropez property is expansive with lots of places to explore - including the outdoor fitness center, the Padel court, the kids camp area (with a huge treehouse), the animal farm, and all the gardens. It's like a high-end adult playground. SERVICE. Exceptional throughout our visit. As expected. The two callouts are the maid service and shuttle service. Our room was always cleaned up/turned down - yet we never saw a maid or their gear in the hallways. It was like magic. And then the drivers who shuttled us to/from town in a Rolls Royce every day were friendly and informative. They wanted to make sure we made the most of our visit. Airelles truly knows how to make you feel like a queen (and king) and make the most of your vacation time. The experience is worth every penny.

The room was mediocre at best, though pool and facilities were shockingly dirty. Ensure to double check your bill for incorrect charges that they try to slip by prior check out (ex. 100 EUR parking fees despite not having a car). This was easily the worst place we have stayed when visiting the south of France. We would recommend staying at a more legitimate/reputable establishment that can offer better service and a less stressful experience. Do not stay here if you expect any help with beach club reservations, as you will have to make those accommodations yourself, despite following up with Mohammed on several occasions. 1/5 dump.

We were promptly greeted upon entry and our hands never touched a door from when we stepped foot on property. We ended up doing the larger 7 course tasting menu with a wine pairing. Unfortunately, they were out of oysters so they had to pivot but provided us a spectacular dish as an alternative. The food was fresh and unique, we also enjoyed the wine pairing, which massively compliment the dishes. There's maybe enough seating for 25 people, so it's a small and intimate setting, next to a beautiful pool. Everything was 5 star but I did feel that there was one aspect that really rubbed me the wrong way. When we stat down we were each "offered" a glass of champagne. Sure, why not, but when I looked at the bill the "offered" glasses of champagne were €50 each. Mind you this meal was nearly €1000 euro total with tip, so it's not about the cost, more how it was presented. I likely still would have purchased the glasses of champagne but when someone comes and say "Would you like a glass of champagne to start?" there an assumption (but you know what they say about that) there's not going to be a charge associated with it. I felt we certainly got what we paid for, but don't offer a glass to start and then tack another €100 on for the first two small glasses of champagne.

So I put them away. The remote system to open the entrance door from the living room in order to see who was at the door - inoperative. The remote to open close curtains in master bedroom (one of 3) inoperative. The minimalist architecture & interior design was very impressive & cool but not utilitarian at all. Nowhere to hang wet used towels & no maid service during our stay. They did provide plenty of extra towels but again used towels not picked up. No shelf in showers of any of the three bathrooms so shampoo bottles had to sit on the floor. Obviously the designer of this apartment was a man who is clueless what women or a family require. Cannot charge anything to room while there as any charges must be paid on the spot. But that apparently is a rule not to do that without prior approval. Our concierge, however, Linda was a delight. She brought us breakfast in the morning. She took care of our laundry delivery. She was available to be called at of any hour of the day/night when one of our plugs blew out and plunged entire apartment into darkness-She was available to help so we couldn't ask for more than that she was terrific!! Do stay & enjoy this beautiful 5 star hotel in St Tropez. The restaurant food is fabulous & well over 1000 euros for dinner but Michelin star quality it is!

The night cost around €300 with breakfast (compared to €600 in the city) and it is only a 10 minute walk down to the old city and port. The hotel has a free parking which was nice since we arrived by car, when we had parked the guy in the reception came out and helped us with the bags. At the check in he provided us with really good advice on where to go for having a drink with a nice view, places to see and where to eat. I must say that this hotel has a top class quality with everything from service, to the room standard and eveen down to small details such as marmelade which is served in small glass jars instead of plastic ones. The layout of the hotel is also nice, every room has a veranda that points towards the pool. So you dont have to run around in hallways to get outside. Could go on and on with all the nice things with this hotel, but to summarize it, if you want an affordable luxury stay in a small and personal hotel I really recommend Villa Cosy!

My first meal in Saint Tropez was at the bar here where I ordered molasses-bourbon basted New Orleans style ribs and house salad with a bottle of vintage Krug. All were excellent. Due to a passport issues, we had to change our travel dates. Our reservation was made through Expedia who suggested they were in a better position to get us re-booked or refunded. Instead Expedia cancelled our reservation before trying to change our travel dates or get us a refund. This left us with no leverage in the situation. We went to the hotel the following week and they had rooms available. We asked if we could receive a discounted rate as the hotel had taken our $500 Euros the week previous. The lady at the desk told us (in quite a rude manner I might add) that unless we cancelled thirty days in advance they are not obliged to do anything for us and refused to offer any sort of refund and or discount. We had originally booked weekend nights and were asking for a single Monday night. The hotel had 3 cars in the whole parking lot, so we were not interfering with other business. We stayed else were and will never do business with this hotel again. I am also very disappointed in the lack of effort on Expedia's part.
