I am FLOORED to see all of these negative reviews on this Yelp page because I had an excellent experience at Le's Nail Studio. I would honestly pay attention to the Google reviews instead because those are far more reflective of the quality here. First of all, the location is super convenient; I was able to get my shopping done and my nails done all in one place. I did not make an appointment but was promptly seen for a gel mani, gel pedi, and eyebrow/lip wax. We started with the pedi. I specifically chose the Signature Spa pedicure which included a scrub, leg massage, mask and paraffin wax wrap. The equipment (such as the chairs) are a little bit outdated, but still comfortable and it really didn't bother me. The facilities themselves are clean and well kept. I was offered a beverage and had a warm and delicious honey lemon ginger tea while enjoying my service. I included a picture because you can actually see my skin glowing after the pedicure. I got a gel manicure as well which was impeccable. Steve did an excellent job and double -- even triple checked his work to make sure I loved my manicure. I did the deluxe manicure which also included a scrub, massage, massage, and mask. Then, we finished up with a perfect eyebrow and lip wax. To top it all off, I received a $10 gift certificate when my service was over - how sweet! I really felt like I was being treated like a VIP. Overall, I am so happy I stumbled upon Le's Nail Studio and will be coming back again and again! read more

It's been a while since I've had a manicure. I wish I had read yelp before I went there, but I was at Windward mall and trying to get everything done in one place. Everyone is somewhat friendly, although the out of two felt rushed and dismissive. The variety of regular nail polishes was very limited in garish shades. The pedicure itself was OK but she was really rough with callus removal and the stone massage hurt, The woman doing my pedicure told me it would be a waste of my money if I didn't get gels since a regular polish would start chipping in a week which seems strange even for regular polish. So I let her upsell me and not even six hours after my Gel pedicure one of the nails completely peels off. I don't think she knew what she was doing because she made the white portion of the French manicure way too big and tried to compensate with filing the nails down afterwards to an unsafe length, so now I'm at risk of getting an ingrown nail because my toe nails are too short. I even pointed out to her one of the nails was crooked and she told me "no that's just how your nail goes". I felt like I was in an Angelah Johnson skit. Thank goodness I already had my eyebrows threaded because she disappointingly looked at me and said oh I guess you've already had your eyebrows done or else I'd be she'd be trying to upsell me on that too. She lied and tried to tell me she remembered me from coming 15 years ago and I've only lived on Windward side for 10 years so her attempt at familiarity was a big Fail. Whole time felt awkward. Got a PAINFUL ingrown toenail from the pedicure last week! It was a man who did it and he was very rough! I even got a painful cut on my other toe! He asked if i wanted my calluses removed(which I thought was regularly included in a pedicure) so i said yes. Later, there was an extra $10 charge on my bill for the calluses! WTF???! Never again !! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Sunday afternoon on New Year's Day, my daughter and I cruised the Windward side hoping to find an open nail salon. All strip mall salons were closed. Our last attempt was Windward Mall. The salon on the first floor was closed. We spied lights on and open doors upstairs at Le's. We RAN up the stairs and asked if they had time for two gel mani-pedis, plus acrylics for my girl. Mind you, this was at 5:15pm, posted closing time was 6pm, and they appeared to be tidying to close up shop. Ana and her coworker (sorry I didn't get her name!) graciously took us in. These ladies took such great care of us, didn't rush through their work. My Fred Flintstone feet look and feel absolutely polished!! By the time they were done, it was past mall closing time. Ana advised me of the mall exits as the regular doors were locked. I appreciate these ladies :-). And I hope Ana got to celebrate a wonderful birthday! read more

I had rose i guess was her name . I will never ever EVER be returning, my nails are throbbing and are in pain. J googled and they said the cause for it could be filing and drilling to much and as i remember she was filing and drilling way to harsh and fast and over and over again. My nail beds hurt so bad. i'm looking on the side of my nails and i see dents in them. it feels so tight i've never experienced this before. Also, Acrylics full set was 60$ and i did a simple white, and the total was 68, then out of nowhere she continues to add a service extra, $5. Is she tipping herself ? this salon is CRAZY. Your experience is really based on who you get. When i got my manicure i got several fingers cut with the clippers whilst my mom, on the other hand, had a great experience with the ladies that did her pedicure and manicure. Called at 7pm to see if they took walk-ins. Arrived around 7:20 and was helped right away for a gel pedicure. 5 minutes into my pedicure, another customer walked in and the technician told the customer she would be done in 15 minutes. She definitely rushed the massage and paint job. The nails didn't turn out bad but I definitely did not feel relaxed because she used a lot of pressure to scrub my nails, file, and move my feet to go under the UV lamp. The gel pedicure with gel removal came out to $52.36 and she said that a callus removal would be an extra $10 but she'd give it to me for free. I appreciated that they open late but I didn't quite get what I came for which was a relaxing day at a nail salon. read more

Don't waste your hard earned money here I went and was serviced by Steve who apparently had an appointment coming so he did a rush job on my Deluxe Pedicure & Deluxe Gel Manicure. He did horrible job with my cuticles on my feet and hands. Didn't do a massage, the only deluxe thing was the wax on my feet. He did a crappy job on coloring my nails and I made him do it again. I paid $89 for a crappy job and now the excess nail polish is coming off after only 3 days. Gel nails last at least 2 weeks at my regular place I go. Went to this salon on Sunday, 16 January 2022 for the first time thinking I'd leave with pretty nails, but that was the least of it. I went right after the Niners vs. Cowboys game and wasn't busy at all. One of the workers by the name of TK serviced me. First he did my pedicure, which came out okay, and second was a manicure. Sadly, there isn't a negative rating for this and from this picture of the supposed manicure, you can see what a horrible job it turned out to be. Throughout the entirety of both services, there was hardly any conversation until my manicure. It was like pulling teeth, but don't even know why I bothered to even try to make conversation. He did a rush job on my hands and after the polish dried, you can tell how uneven the polished was laid. I waited for him to come back to check if I could go, but checked my nails myself and left. There was no thank you for the generous tip I gave. I wish I could have waited to get this done from someone who cares for their customers instead of wasting $62 ($10 tip) on someone who doesn't. That will definitely be the last time I ever waste my money there! And if you want to waste your money on bad mail service, I suggest you see TK. read more

I went in wanting Christmas theme nails for Christmas pictures but I was unable to get them. The nail stylist pulled out Christmas stickers and said that's the best I could get.... I said never mind and asked to get Pink almond shape nails with white on the tips basically French tips. The pink I chose was a nice vibrant pink that I loved, he changed the color and used a Nude shade instead because that's the color he had in his box... Why show me color choices and not use the color I wanted? There was a bunch of colors on the wall that other stylist was grabbing and using. And when he went to do the French tips.... He painted half my nail white... that was not French tips and I even showed him pictures of how I wanted them done. He then proceeded to add a flower to my ring fingers and a small diamond in the middle to make me feel better. I was very upset. The stylist was also rough with my hands, he bent my wrist in a way that other nail stylist haven't done to me and it was painful. He slapped my fingers away and was just very rough... I then made the mistake by not having cash on me, I sent my other half to the atm, as I sat down and was waiting my stylist kept blocking the door and looking at me and shaking his head. I felt very upset because I would never leave a place without paying even though I didn't like the service I received. I'm unsure if it's because I'm young and he was thinking I was going to leave? But my other half came back with cash and my stylist was still mad. This is my first time at this nail studio and I disliked my nails so much that I left crying... I live on the west side and was spending the day in Kaneohe and decided to do my nails last minute for Christmas photos later that night. Because this place contracts individual nail + beauty technicians it isn't gauranteed that you'll get a specific person or a certain level of treatment and quality. I went here (spontaneously) with a party of three. We signed in as a group but got taken individually, meaning they split our group up into seperate chairs and we weren't sitting by each other (major bummer). We went in just to get pedicures. The water was hot and the nail technicians scrubbed our feet, cleaned our nails, and even cut them too. We picked nail polishes off their walls and the pedicure was just another pedicure. Nothing special & very little talk between us and the nail techs. I WILL WRITE THIS THOUGH: One person in my party (who had cut their own nails at home during the week before coming) asked their nail tech if they could give them cuticle care and clean their nails (is a guy working construction, etc.) AND the nail tech REFUSED! It wasn't until I looked at the nail tech with a confused look, tried to explain that she didn't have to cut his nails, etc. just clean did she finally decide to do it (with an eyeroll and nonstop talk in Vietnamese). She refused the work because she didn't see it as worth doing - LITERALLY SAID THAT. She charged us for a manicure (whatever). I did not tip! read more

I have been holding on to a gift certificate to Le's Nail Studio for a little over one year now because of the reviews on this place. However, being that I am about to leave on a trip; I decided to save my husband a little grief and utilize it. After reading a few positive reviews, I decided to play the smart card and make a tally of the positives on this spot. I went ahead and called to make an appointment for my deluxe manicure and pedicure services with Kim. When I walked in tonight, I was immediately greeted by multiple associates with a smile. Upon asking for Kim, they called for Kim and pointed me in the right direction. Kim was amazing from start to finish, very professional, very gentle. I will definitely be seeing Kim again. Fastest pedicure I've had in a while. Asked them to soak my feet a bit longer in the hot water because my heels were strikers for matches. Hahaha. Paid for the deluxe pedi and got the deluxe quickie. However, my girlfriends are quite feminine, so, giving in to peer pressure, I learned about these things. It's kind of a strange concept. ..A pedicure is a rather invasive procedure when you really think about it. At work, some nurses refuse to trim patients' nails because of the liability. At a salon, a customer is trusting a stranger with physical contact! Yikes! There is potential for infection, possible fungus, and... blood can happen! Yuk! So...When I get a pedicure, it's a major decision for me. But. ..knowing that this upcoming weekend involves several gatherings that require bare feet, I had to give in and clean up my act! I wear shoes at work, so most operators are fascinated with my soft skin. They don't have to work so hard and reward me with an extra massage! Yes! That's a welcome bonus for my plantar fasciitis! I called the regular place that I go to, but it was late and they were closing up. I thought of the mall - wondering if this place would have mall hours. ..I pass by many times and look to see if I know anyone in the chairs...never. So, I wandered in...and yes! They were open! Many people had the same idea, so I was fourth on the list. The time went by quickly as I have a hard time choosing a color. I don't want it too dark nor too light. Yeah...I'm kinda like Goldilocks: it has to be just right! I read the reviews while waiting. ..not too good. For me, the good things are the convenience (mall hours), the location (Windward Mall), and many chairs (less waiting). I lucked out and got the manager. The reviews said to ask for Lily, but she was busy. Things were going alright until a customer complained about a cut. This was in the middle of my session. The manager had someone else try to deal with it, but eventually she put a towel over my feet and had to put the fire out herself. I don't know what the solution was...it seemed to work out ok. They moved to the side and were professional about it. The manager was really nice to me and tried to get me to have a manicure. ..oh, no! My hands are so beat up from washing so much at work! She noticed that I had painted each finger nail a different color in search of the perfect color. She intuitively got the nail polish remover and cleaned up my fingers! She sweetly said next time ...manicure! Hahaha! I had a good experience and I hope other people don't get discouraged from the spooky reviews with photographic evidence. Not all operators are bad. They are all independent and there's a sign that says that if we have a problem, we should deal directly with that operator. Well, isn't that applicable to every relationship we have? Located at Windward Mall on the Macy's end of the mall. They can get crowded on the weekends so come prepared. So far I've come here twice. Forced by my wife to do a pedicure spa. Never done one ever. Both experiences were excellent ! Read some of the reviews on here and a lot of negative ones. I kind of take those with a grain of salt since I give a lot of business I write about the benefit of the doubt. Kim is excellent have been helpful to my wife who comes here often and me the both times. Really easy to just text her and make an appointment to come in. I see some people try to do walk ins and it's rough. The wait times can be hours! Staff is friendly. I think recently they changed their policy regarding the staff speaking foreign language while working on patrons. If they do you can get a discount while on the chair. read more

After working 6 days straight all 10 hour shifts I knew I needed a manicure or something to make myself feel better. I didn't make an appointment, I walked in and signed my name. TK took me in, he asked what I wanted and I told him I want Square, glitter, powder full set. He nodded and showed me the nail colors that the salon carried. I picked out the colors, true he doesn't socialize but I am okay with that. He made my nails perfect, he was very delicate with my hands and always asked me if the nail shape was to my liking. I went there today to remove my gel manicure and to get a "regular" manicure. It is not my regular salon, but I went there out of convenience because I was at the mall. They were nice, but the nail tech used his fingernails to clean up the rogue polish around my nails. Ewwww. No q-tips? That was so disgusting. Why even bother to wear a face mask??? The end product was very messy, and the work done was unprofessional and unsanitary. Anyway the end result was chunky nail polish, even with 10 -15 min of drying under the fan. Probably should've just had the gel removal. I paid $41, I came home and removed the chunky polish myself. Lesson learned. By the way, the business has a sign via a ticker tape lighted banner stating that they "aren't responsible for the techs because they are independent contractors; if customers have any issues with the service, we should take it up directly with the tech. " So unfortunate that I saw this after he put on a 2nd coat of polish on a still wet first coat of polish. This policy of independent contractors is a smart way for this business to avoid customer complaints. read more

I know there are a lot of terrible reviews of this place but my experience was really great. We walked in and were seen right away for pedicures. My nail tech, Kim, was so sweet and friendly. She made recommendations for things she thought may be helpful and made sure I got what I wanted. I did add on callus removal and gel polish. I typically do just the standard nail polish and I can see why so many people get gel polish now! Seems to last for a good amount of time! I also did eyebrow, chin, and facial waxing with Kim.
