Staff and management are very unprofessional. This is not an environment your child will thrive in. They do the bare minimum each day.

Holy Child Early Childhood Center

Holy Child Early Childhood Center

I had previously written a review on the first daycare that I used for my infant son and commented…read moreon my horrible experience. I wanted to now share what was my saving grace- Holy Child Day Care. Holy Child Day Care was in process of opening when I had to go back to work after maternity leave- thus my really really bad experience at Four Seasons (located at Mitchell and Lyceum and do NOT recommend). When I was pregnant with my son, my husband and I went to visit Holy Child and met with the director, Cyndi Manely. We immediately felt comfortable with her- I commented to my husband "she is a total mom" and could see her taking great care of our baby. Since Holy Child was not open yet, we did have to choose a different daycare at first (Four Seasons- and again DO NOT recommend). After the first horrible week, I called Cyndi to get advice and to feel her out again. She was so comforting and reassuring- I explained what I was experiencing at Four Seasons and she never once "bad mouthed" them or tried to convince me to switch to Holy Child, rather she listened to me and answered all my questions. Just the way she spoke to me, made me feel so much better and I switched my son to Holy Child the following week. I was still a nervous wreck leaving my baby in other people's hands and after my experience with Four Seasons they had me thinking that my baby was impossible to care for. My son was a "crier" and needed to be held ALOT- he just always liked to be moving around in some capacity and was not a "I'll sit in the swing and chill out kind of newborn"- the staff at Holy Child was more than willing to give him the extra TLC that he needed- whether that required holding him all day, pushing him around in the coach throughout the center, or rocking him. They were always honest with me if he didn't have the greatest day or was fussy alot- but the way the message was delivered made all the difference. I was reassured that he would get used to them as well as. That was exactly what happened, but until it did, they gave all the extra love and attention that he needed. I text or call during the day for updates and get a response back immediately. I still to this day get pictures sent to my phone of my son having fun, eating or being silly and it just makes my day ! Cyndi is always available if you have concerns or questions. She is diligent in making sure her staff is doing a great job caring for all the children there. Any issue or concern is always addressed and you are never made to feel "annoying" or "stupid" if you raise any questions or concerns. Honestly, going back to work after having a baby STINKS- but it is necessary evil for my husband and I. I live for the weekends to spend time with my baby but I have to say, trusting where you are sending your child makes all the difference. Because let's face it- if you work full time, the daycare is seeing your baby more than you are. I honestly have nothing but good things to say about Holy Child. No place will ever be perfect (because the perfect situation would be me taking care of him)- but I am so happy with that he is there.

Maybe I had very high expectations of the center as I did read a lot of reviews and I did see a lot…read moreof good things about the center, but upon walking in, I was very disappointed to not get an introduction, a handshake, a name or so much as full eye contact for 30 seconds. When the woman at the front desk did look up from her phone to asked me how old my child was, I answered and she immediately told me that both of her classes are full without so much as an apology or suggestions or information on a waiting list or anything. I came to the center upon a recommendation from another person who had heard good things about the center, but with this being my first experience with them and having it not be a very warm experience in the least, I don't think I'll be holding my breath to try to enroll my children or even recommend the center to any of my pregnant or new mom friends.

Our experience at Jane Munn School has been nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we…read moreenrolled our child, we were met with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine dedication to providing top-notch care and education. As a single mom, leaving my child in someone else's care was initially daunting, but the staff at Jane Munn School quickly alleviated any concerns I had. Their nurturing approach and commitment to fostering a supportive environment gave me the peace of mind needed to go about my day with confidence. The educational opportunities provided at Jane Munn School are truly outstanding. Our child has thrived under the guidance of the caring and knowledgeable staff, and many days he would show off things he learned without any help from us as a family. He is a reader, he knows his ABCs, he can count, he knows his colors and shapes, and regularly shares information on emotions and interacting with others. He sings songs he learned at school and tells me all about his teachers and friends. We are incredibly grateful for the positive impact Jane Munn School has had on our child's development. The sense of security and confidence we've gained from knowing our child was in such capable hands is invaluable. I wholeheartedly recommend Jane Munn School to any parent seeking a nurturing and enriching daycare experience for their child. Thank you to the entire team for everything you do!

Very unhappy with the experience we've had at this school…read more The teachers have no interest or desire to be there, always have an attitude and act like you bother them. Absolutely no verbal communication was provided when it came to how my son did, no updates on accomplishments or concerns. Filthy is an understatement when it comes to this place: dusty play rooms, stinky kitchen, very worn furniture & toys. Plus, on top of all the money that we paid we were constantly charged for supplies and "school & teachers' needs". Would not recommend this school
