Gerrod, the manager, and his team took amazing care of me and my tire and wheel issue. Gerrod searched all over Casper for a new wheel as mine was destroyed on the highway. He was able to find one in his shop and figured out a way to get me back on the road to Colorado. Best service I have ever received. He was truly set on making sure I got home safely. Thank you!! We walked in there to buy a tire and automatically Gave us attitude and told her very rudely "well you'll have to leave it with me" while she aggressively turned her computer around to show us all the people's information and threw her hands in they air like she can't believe we asked for help. We were travelling through Wyoming on a cross-country road trip and my engine splash shield blew off from the bottom of my car and was scraping on the highway. It was a Saturday so most shops were closed. We ended up at Les Schwab in Casper and James took great care of us. Despite being very busy, he got the car in quickly, and managed to do a quick fix free of charge. Some of the best service I've ever experienced! Looking at the previous reviews, it's clear that this place has been headed downhill for several years now. At least for me. When I first started coming here a few years ago, service was great, fast and efficient. I should have stopped coming here after the first issues, but hate change. To start - DON'T LIST, ADVERTISE AND SAY that you open at 7:30am. I have showed up multiple times at 7:15 and am told "sorry bud, already 3 front of you!" And when you don't take appointments it's a crap shoot at best to get an oil change in under a few hours. Last several oil changes on my truck, they stopped taking the under carriage section off and when I'd get home to my high angle driveway, 1/2 quart of dirty oil runs out from underneath and onto my driveway. Very frustrating. Final straw, a 1.5hr oil change (from when it was pulled into the bay, not from getting in line) on my wife's car. And, they forgot to rotate the tires after it was discussed. Holy Cow - these guys are rock stars! We were several thousand miles from home when our new fifth wheel sensor told us one of our wheels was going flat. We stopped at Les Schwab and were greeted by Jim (manager?) and he diagnosed a bad sensor. They were busy but made time to confirm the tire was good and the sensor was bad. This is a great shop. I was on a trip from New Mexico up through Casper, and my truck lost a lug nut. Stopped by plains tire to see if they could replace it. Although the threads on the stud were too chewed up to simply replace the nut, they did replace the other damaged lug nut it, double check all the other nuts, and fix my tire pressure. All at no charge and and without an appointment. They had me back on the road, in 20 minutes. Great folks, super friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them! read more

We traveled to Casper, with a spare on our 2 axle trailer; regular tire had gone mysteriously flat the morning we left. Pulled into Casper, tired but hoping to continue our long journey with a spare, just in case. Damian Pinkley and his crew quickly and efficiently checked the regular tire, replaced the stem and then carefully and completely rechecked to make sure of its' safety. Damian then offered to replace the spare with the regular tire. It was done so quickly and so well - and the only thing he would accept was a handshake of thanks! Just passing thru Casper and was in need of a tire balance. On the way to my hotel I saw Plains Tire and stopped in. Super friendly folks who were able to fit the car in right away for the work while I waited (less than 15 minutes). Clean and modern lobby. Lobby has cameras in the bays so you can watch the work being done. They even replaced a stripped wheel stud no charge. The work was perfect - not a single wobble for our drive on to Denver. Robert and the other guy working were my heroes today. I ended up with a flat 13 miles outside of Casper. After a friendly family helped me change to my spare we were closing in on evening. I got ahold of Robert at Plains and he said he would be there until close and told me teo ley him know if I wouldn't be able to make it. I got there about 30 minutes begore close. I only needed a repair thankfully. He and the guy in the shop took care of me quickly. Since I had a 600 mile trip the next day it was a huge blessing that he was open and able to repair my tire. He suggested I leave my spare out since I woukd be traveling the next day and told me to stop by when I got back to town and he would put it away for me. Very positive experience for a very stressful situation for me. He made it less stressful and I am so greatful. read more

My wife and I are traveling from California. I noticed a possible leak from two of my tire stems on my motor home, which was parked in an RV campground. I was mislead and lied to when I purchased new tires. I called ahead (I live 3 hours drive from their location in Casper) and asked if Plains tire would price match Costco and match a $50 promotion Costco/BFG was offering. They did match the price of the tire and told me they matched the promotion. When I checked out I noticed there was only a $20 discount not $50. When confronted on this I was lied to and told they did match the promotion, then told that Plains tire would not match any other competitor's promotions. read more

I stopped in on my way back to Denver because I had a low tire indicator and I didn't want to drive through Wyoming with the chance of a flat. All my tires were at a low pressure, so they took them all off and checked to be sure that I didn't have a flat on any of them. There wasn't a problem, so they sent me on my way with NO CHARGE!! I offered to pay them a couple of times, but they said it was ok since there was not a repair problem. Who does that?? These guys! Great service, could not have been nicer. read more

This shop and the wonderful employees who work here saved my vacation! I was traveling through Casper, WY on I-25- heading to Montana for the 4th of July- when my Jeep's battery light came on. After exiting in Casper, something was obviously wrong with my vehicle since it had absolutely no power and all of the dash lights were on. After speaking with some folks at AutoZone who couldn't assist me, I ended up (literally) coasting into Plains Tire and am glad I did. I was welcomed by Todd who thoroughly listened to me, which was so refreshing. Todd C. and Roy L. were outstanding every step of the way. Within minutes they had my car pulled into the bay and were working on a diagnosis. The gentlemen kept in great contact with me to let me know my alternator needed replaced. They also did a full inspection to make sure everything else would be good to go for my road trip. I work in customer service myself, so I am always taking notice of others' service skills, and Todd and Roy's were impecable. They genuinely cared that I was safe on the road and that meant a lot to me.
