FYI - Not sure if you see the french words or English translations that get typed in my pictures?!?! I am writing in French, but on my desktop in the hotel, it got translated into English?!?!
Oh, and I'm not sure if English spell check works in France, so excuse my poor spelling...
Quality/Quantity -
Complimentary Bread - Just okay.
Chef's Pot - Small bouillabaisse revisited - Bouillabaisse is one of the signature items in Marseilles, France. So we all should try it once here. Not sure if I am just too Americanized, but I prefer our USA version better. Or should I try it one more time at a different restaurant?? See pictures.
The broth was good, not too thin. More mussels than I would have preferred, but I also know that mussels are another signature item here. One shrimp, one piece of salmon, one piece of hearty white fish and the rest were mussels... But the potato soaked in all that rich broth was amazing!!!
Linguine - My wife's dish, minimum flavor. I shared my broth and fish with her.
Glass of house white wine to wash it all down, I could have skipped this.
Not as good as the wine I have back at the hotel, plus I just have a few glasses of champagne while shopping with my wife.
Ambiance - A small local business, support local.
All outdoor seating. See my few pictures.
Very small unisex restroom.
Service - Good. Welcomed us right away, unlike the previous restaurant we tried to eat at... Gave us the pick of the tables, etc.
Gave us our space and time to study and decide on what we want.
Price - 49 Euros; $58 US.
Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success. Great location. read more
