The bakery is one of only two in the village, and has friendly staff who are more than happy to chat the basics with the English holidaymakers who frequent the area! Bread is, like most in france, made with plain flour and likely to go hard overnight, so a visit first thing in the morning is a must. Bruno's opens at 6am and closes around 10am when all the days bread has gone! Closed on Sundays. The Pain aux raisin is especially recommended!

I can't leave any chocolatier behind & Mr was looking for a savory snack. Grabbed some sea salt caramels, pistachio truffles and honeycomb nougats & these were among the very best chocolates I've ever tasted! The chocolate was so creamy and immediately melted in the mouth - the fillings were intensely flavored and our only regret was not tasting while we were there because we would have purchased a large box instead of the few pieces we did On our way out the door, the Mr saw a cheese quiche & a raspberry jelly filled tart so he grabbed both & the quiche was the cheesiest, most flavorful quiche he's had - the crust was flaky and buttery and again, the only regret was not getting more! The two staples the baguette and croissants look good but neither is crispy. Loss of a str for each. Few alternatives in this small cute town. Maybe go there but just don't order a baguette or croissant if you like it crusty.
