Needed supplies while running errands on a Saturday. Sign says they open at 9 am and by 10 am everything was still locked up.

Have a major leak going on with my pool. Go in to get some pieces of jandis/PVC and couplers around closing time. Employee had a couple of other customers still in the store. Made a comment right when I walked in "well I don't know if I can help with that" when he saw me walk by with the existing pieces. I found most of the pieces and had a question on where one last piece. Guy chuckled and was super dismissive and wanted me to go to another store and directed me to that store because he was closing. Making an already stressful situation even more stressful. Super disappointed and will not go back to this store. read more

Every time I go in there they are always friendly and extremely knowledgeable! This visit today I needed parts for my pool vacuum and chlorine. They fixed my vacuum and had me out of there in less than 10 minutes and they carried my chlorine out to my car. Always worth the money. read more

I have had my pool for about 50 years. For the last umpteen years, I have had Leslie's replace the sand in the filter every five years. They provided great service. On that schedule and based on my previous great service with Leslie's I decided to use them again to replace the sand at this time. That was a month ago, and I am still waiting for laterals replacement and sand replacement. I get the run around when going into their stores, and their phone system does not allow me to talk directly to the service department or to any human. The last straw was today when a service man finally on his way to deliver new sand told me that I had to come into their store and prepay for the laterals. Doing the past month of trying to deal with them, no one told me that I had to prepay. I could have done that. I now have the job of finding one of their competitors to use for sand and lateral replacement instead. read more

It's frustrating that this location for whatever reason doesn't show up as a selectable store on the Leslie's website. I wind up having to call ahead to make sure they have something in stock before going in person. In this case they did have the item so I don't know why the website wouldn't allow me to order it from this particular store, but would from others. Their site wouldn't even show that this location existed. I can say this store is well-stocked and hasn't let me down. I like that it's uncrowded and I can get what I need quickly and that the people who work behind the counter are highly knowledgeable about their products. My store used to be the one on Cooper Road, and they were very helpful in the past when I needed to change out my pool motor the first time. The guy in the service area took the impeller assembly off the old one and put it on the new one for me. That's some awesome customer service! I remember the second time I needed to change a pool motor they wouldn't come out and install it unless I purchased one of their energy-efficient multi-speed motors which is like double or more than the cost of my stock motor. So I wind up having to install it myself (or roll the dice and see what kind of company assists me- see my other review). I always get the store brand big bucket of tabs and they always keep the pool clean without any other fuss. This is my go to company for my pool needs. I'm not someone who has ever needed a pool cleaning service to come to my house and my water looks crystal clear. read more

There was a really nice man working the counter. We were having our pool drained and cleaned and needed some parts. He helped us find what we needed and made suggestions on a part that wasn't available. The store is organized and open for business. It has a convenient location. read more

The manager, Phillip, is rude and dismissive. When we asked for help it was as though we were bothering him. He sold us the wrong product because he wanted to rush us out of the store and when I went to return it his response was "too bad complain to someone else." Don't shop here! Go to the other location on Gilbert Rd or Amazon. read more

This location is the best!! Patrick, the manager, is always SO helpful and knowledgeable, and best of all honest. We have never felt pressured to buy unnecessary or pricey products. He is always looking for ways to save us money. We actually have two locations closer to our home but drive the couple extra miles to shop with Patrick. He is a real asset to the company! Also, Leslie's service techs are equally honest and knowledgeable. (Especially Derek! We always request him when we need repairs. He's great!) And the techs have equally high praise for Patrick, what does that tell you? I'd absolutely recommend the Guadalupe/Val Vista location of Leslie's for your pool products (ask for Patrick!) and Leslie's service techs (ask for Derek!) for your pool repair/service needs. read more

I have no idea who taught these people customer service, but it has got to be THE BEST IN THE VALLEY AT THIS STORE! I never shopped at Leslies, since all my friends told me that Shasta Pools had better prices. The first time I went to Shasta was at 6:55 at night on a Sunday, and as I stood at the locked front door, there was a sign saying open to 7:00. The manager sat at the cash register facing me, counting the money, and shaking his head no. I held up the $5 part I needed, that was in stock, and he still just shook his head no, and kept counting money. I immediately drove down to Leslies on Val Vista, and they had a couple other people they were helping. They didn't tell me that they closed at 7:00. They helped me with my $5 part. Since that night, I will always go back to Leslies. I have ordered a couple thousand dollars worth of product from them over the years. All because of one guy that didn't want to help a customer with a $5 part...................... The place has everything, the employees are top notch educated about pools and maintaining and fixing them, and always go the extra mile to keep you as a customer. They are friendly and the prices are awesome, especially when you sign up on-line for the emailed coupons that save you more. Need a part? Call them and they will put it aside for you. These people are GREAT! I'll never go to another pool store other than the one here in Gilbert. read more

My daughter uses Leslie's pool services, she is extremely happy with them. They test her pool water for free(when she can't figure out what's wrong)and are always helpful with a resolution to the issues if there are any. Kind and professional staff. read more

After posting this review, Leslie's promptly reached out to me and righted the situation. I still think it's a poor business practice to charge for a simple return but I do give them credit for making things right. Shame on you Leslie's. I have been a loyal customer for years and I was charged a "restocking fee" today for an item that is brand new and unused. I had literally purchased the item hours before and decided to return it. I understand that Leslie's doesn't want to lose that money from selling the item but returns are part of doing business. If that is the way you are going to run your business then I will find another pool supply store to spend my money. read more

Just moved in from Illinois about a month ago. I've always enjoyed doing things myself and since I moved here with no real grass to attend to the pool has become my main focus. I've never owned one before and had zero knowledge of the care and maintenance. The previous owner left me with some broken tools and apparently did nothing with the pool for the month of our purchase. I went into the Val Vista location and the guys have been super helpful. They helped me get the pool straightened back out so we can use it and all the chemicals back in line. I've had numerous little other problems and have taken a lot of phone pictures into them and they have always been able to guide me in the right direction. This store's customer service is awesome. I appreciate all their assistance they've given me in learning about my new project. read more

This location is very knowledgeable with your pool questions. Every time I go in for my chemicals, I'm greeted by the friendly staff, and I'm assisted with whatever situation I have at hand, from chemicals to rebuilding your pool pump, this location will help! I walked up to the counter to ask a question, Steve M turns around and sneers in a condescending voice "Sorry, can't help you" and then turns his back on me and goes back to what he was doing. Megan and Patrick will always do their best to help keep your pool as good as it can be. I don't go to any other Leslie's locations but would definitely stick with this brand if I moved due to my experience. I've learnt after a lot of years of pool ownership to get water tested again in a couple of days if you get a result out of the ordinary rather than react immediately with new chemicals or solutions you have not had to use before. read more

Every time I go here they are always trying to sell me something expensive. Went here today to test my pool. It was tested and was advised that the ph was high. I asked how to lower it and I was recommended a product which costs $34.99. Not knowing anything about it I purchased it. Went to another pool store and saw another brand of the product which costs $8.96. WTF . Let me guess your products are supposed to be better . I call BS. read more

Nice people but water tests were quite inaccurate. I've yet to get decent advice from this facility and have learned to simply avoid their recommendations after wasting $$ on useless equipment and chemicals. read more

I love this leslies I have been coming here for about a year. I drive by at least 2 other pool stores to come here. Megan is always there greeting me with a smile, I feel like I'm going to visit a friend! I battled with the worst green pool I've ever seen, a couple weeks ago and the older guy there walked me through step by step how to clear it up. First of all, calling 1-800-Leslies for pool service, you get representatives that must hate their jobs because they are rude and can't wait to get you off their phone. Being a real estate agent that needed to get pool repairs done before close of escrow I called Leslies because that's who my clients used to install a new pump previously. Never again will I use Leslies for myself or my clients!! First, the part ordered was wrong, I was told the correct one would be ordered and they would call when it came in. No calls after 2 weeks. I called, they said the part was never ordered and that they would order it. Another 10 days go by, no call. I call today, they said I should have called the local store to see if the part came in! Why?? The technician ordered it and said either he or the dispatcher would call me when it came in! The home is one mile away from 2 Leslie's stores and I'm supposed to know which store it should have shipped to?? Ryan, the technician was very professional but the ball was dropped. Now I'm told the part will be installed in 2 days. This house closed escrow at the end of June and the buyers are still waiting for this part. Unbelievable! I will never call 1-800-Leslies for service (rude again today, no matter how nice you are on the phone) nor will I buy my own pool supplies from Leslie's again. There are so many other reputable pool repair/supply companies out there that would love to have my clients' business and I will make sure other real estate agents are aware of Leslie's and their poor customer service. read more
