History

Established in 1933.

LeTourneau Christian Conference Center on Canandaigua Lake, in New York, was started as a youth camp in 1933 by a well known evangelist, Harold Strathearn, and a group of New York State pastors and laymen. The Center was originally called the Tabernacle on the Lake. In 1935, R. G. LeTourneau, a Christian industrialist, became acquainted with Dr. Strathearn. Mr. LeTourneau became a generous contributor of the Center. As an expression of its gratitude the center was renamed in honor of R. G. LeTourneau. Over the years, LeTourneau Christian Center has been used by thousands of groups seeking a warm and inviting retreat center to host their biblical, missionary, or evangelistic programs. As the ministry of LeTourneau Christian Center moves into the future, the vision is to continue to support and bless Christian churches and organizations from across the region. LeTourneau is also growing a healthy event ministry and discipleship program to max out the ministries potential.

Meet the Manager: Jamie F.

Jamie has a passion for building up the Kingdom of God. Jamie and his wife have been in ministry for nearly twenty years. They have 5 wonderful children. Jamie has served in Tennessee were he led a youth and young adult ministry. More recently Jamie and his family were missionaries in Asia. Their family was called to LeTourneau Christian Center in 2015. Since coming to LeTourneau, Jamie has invested significant energy into strengthening the host ministry, creating a program and event ministry, and establishing a school of discipleship for youth and young adults (summer and year round opportunities are available).
