Small-ish and very busy KBBQ spot in Rowland Heights. (Parking is very sparse!) There's a bar on the side where you can select your own meats and sauces. Additional meats, appetizers and side dishes can be ordered on a little iPad that they give you when you're seated. Overall, solid BBQ joint with delicious sides and tasty meats. 12.3o.2o24 Haven't had KBBQ for quite sometime. Originally, we headed to a different place but it was closed for the holiday, so my husband looked up another place to eat. He's always down for KBBQ. It was already past 2pm because the kids had too much fun and didn't want to leave. So it was a super late lunch. We figured who would eat lunch at this hour? Except for us haha Apparently, there are a lot. There was a line. We joined the waitlist with 16 parties in front of us. We got seated around 3:15pm. It's timed for 90 minutes. We opt for the premium and it was great. A few of our favorites were the beef tongue, butter garlic shrimp, pork jowl, and tempura shrimp. The shrimp was very fresh and it was pre-peeled! That was exceptional! The picanha steak was kind of tough and marinated items were too salty. It was also very smokey in there. Service was great, but the prime meats were pretty forgettable. The filet had a mushy texture, and the ribeye and sirloin were tough to chew. The sliced meats were solid, though. I'd recommend starting with a fattier cut like pork while the grill heats up. We came for a late lunch around 4pm and were surprised by how busy it already was--by the time we left, it was packed. I wouldn't recommend waiting in line for it, especially with so many other good options nearby. read more

If you are interested in trying this place out, do come from opening to 4:00 pm on Mondays - Fridays if possible. Take advantage of their 22 dollars deal! This is a place that I try to come to every now and then, and I think they have the most satisfying service in any KBBQ place. You simply order what you want from a tablet, which is easy to use. The meat you order comes out pretty quickly. The meat bar is also an option, I definitely recommend the beef bulgogi! I also love getting spicy mayo from there. In terms of the service, you'll have some really good servers who are on it! Me and my brother were served by the older lady who did a fantastic job! Great attitude and very attentive! The other servers seem to be pretty good too. The meat quality here is good! There are different options so with beef briskets and beef bellies. You can get them regular, spicy, or Hawaiian style. They're all good options. We also tried the thin pork belly slices, which were also good too. But the beef is really what we crave for! They keep the place pretty clean as well. There really are no negative things for me to say, however, try to cook the meat thoroughly. Even for beef, it's best not to leave the meat red. -used to be RH2 (now it's going downhill) -18% Gratuity for party of 5 but didn't deliver the service that we paid for. Slow service - they charged FULL price for my 7 year old that doesn't eat much and barely over 4 ft. Before the name change, my son was half off. - meats were not as good as it use to be. What happened to the quality ?! -things come out of the kitchen incredibly slow - they are now strict with their 90 min time limit when they didn't before. New owner, new name, new greedy charges that don't make sense and food quality went down. I'm going back to GuiGui. WE WON'T BE COMING BACK. After reviewing multiple good reviews on Yelp we decided to try RH BBQ 2 and we weren't disappointed. We only waited about 10 minutes then we got a seat. The staff were very friendly and explained how everything worked. They have meats you order on the tablet and meat that is self serve at the meat bar. The salad and Korean spicy cucumber salad was delicious. I also enjoyed the corn on the cob, edamame, and macaroni salad. The only downer is that it's no fountain drinks. So you have to pay for each can soda you get. This can add up in cost for people who tend to get refills. read more

The food was amazing, you are control of what meats you get. The service is amazing and quick, the portions are on the small size of you are in a party of 4 or greater. They have a meat bar as well. Visited with a party of 3. When we sat down, there were only 2 plates at the table. We were told the third would be brought over, but it took an unreasonably long time and multiple reminders before it finally arrived. We ordered through the QR code system, but items kept getting missed, and it was very difficult to flag down anyone for help since they appeared to be severely understaffed. The restaurant itself was uncomfortably hot, and our grill was only changed twice during the entire meal. The food was decent, nothing wrong with it, but the overall experience was dragged down by the service. We had to repeatedly follow up on basic things, and even our check came out incorrect, requiring us to ask for a correction. Also worth noting, the lock on the women's restroom doesn't work properly. I ended up not using it out of concern that someone could walk in. I understand staffing challenges happen, but when nearly every part of the visit requires extra effort from the customer, it's hard to recommend coming back. read more

There is only one disadvantage here. There are not many parking lots. It's okay for lunch on weekdays. At a fantastic price, the soft tofu stew is delicious, and the thin grilled beef and pork with salt are also delicious, but the thin meat with red pepper paste is perfect for rice. I've needed to update this review since new management took over. You now serve yourself the bulgogi at the self serve bar among other tasty treats. There is also a sauce bar which you need to try as they are all yummy. Anything else that the staff needs to bring you, you order on the tablet. Service is MUCH faster this way and preferred. I can see why they have a high rating with so many reviews. Wait time can be a bit long around dinner rush but luckily we can join the yelp waitlist beforehand! The quality of the meat was good for its price and the self serve meat station for selected meats was a hit! Make it easier to not waste food! Our sever was very attentive as well! I do have to say food here is good, but I question the cleanliness. The place is so smoky inside and no ventilation whatsoever that my eyes dry out. You can see the smoke go up but not sucked into the vents. I think they don't even turn theirs on to save money on electricity. Next to the vents, you can see the black tiles on top filled with grease and dust collecting. Theres also these other 2 vents with a piece of cloth or something hanging...it's black, greasy and dusty looking AF and almost dripping. I wonder if it has dropped on anyone. The floors are so greasy its a slipping hazard for anyone. Service was ok. The waitress slammed the thing carrying the sauces onto our table shaking it. The wait wasn't long to get seated about 30 minutes, at around 5-ish . Employees were nice, and I think it's the owner or manager who went by the tables asking how things are. We ordered from the $30 menu, which was more than enough. Good meat selection. There's a meat bar to select whatever you like. Looks like the meat was in standard refrigeration. That's a big plus. They have small parties (up to 4 guest) in smaller room. Larger parties in the big room were well ventilated. The smaller room is not as good. There were times it got smoky. We had to shower to get rid of the good smell from the restaurant. Overall, it was delicious . Parking is in a plaza. My tip would be to get there early, around 3.30 pm to 4 pm, to get seated, so you don't have to wait as long. Go check them out! Good boom boom music, too. read more

I wasn't happy with the service few days ago when I was there for lunch. I wanted the Premium Package. So I use the tablet and order 3 LA Short Ribs. Only one arrived. So ok. I would assume the 2nd and 3rd plate will come after I finished my first. After I finished my first plate, the second plate still not delivered. So I asked about my order. Minutes later, the 2nd order came in. So I finished the 2nd plate and the 3rd plate didn't come at all. So I asked about the 3rd plate. They finally bring it out. I felt that if I order the food, they should be at the table without me asking for it every time. I am not sure if this is dirty tactics they are using to delay the premium meats. This is not my first experience. This is my second experience with this restaurant. The food is good but the way they do biz is questionable. $20 for lunch! Heck yes! My client always brings me here when he comes visit the office. No complaints about the food and service. The floor is a bit sticky tho. The parking lot is limited and each store in the shopping center has designated spaces. On top of ordering the "good" meats, they have a meat bar with the marinated beef, pork and chicken. So my partner and I went to RH BBQ 2 for lunch on New Year's Eve to have KBBQ for the last time in 2024! There was about a 5 min wait to get seated but parking situation was terrible. We had to park across the street and walk over unfortunately. The server helping us was Matthias and we got the lunch special. We got a booth and picked the $36.99 ayce and picked banchan items from menu. The staff are nice and we picked our meats and appetizers. We also went to self serve for sauces and marinated meats. The choices are good and wide to pick. Best to flag a server to change the grill. The place got busy at 12 pm and people waited outside. 3 stars are the floor is slippery and sticky, Also it was Smokey so I don't think the exhaust fan was working.
