This is the second time they cancelled my kids appointment via text. The first time, they canceled the day before the appointment and i finally was able to find a time to reschedule a few months later. We love this dental office. My family has been coming here even after moving far west from the city. We love how they made the kids feel welcome and comfortable. My kids love the trinkets they get from the vending machine. They usually give out tokens to the kids after each appointment to use on the vending machine. It was a warm and thoughtful gesture for the kids. Things went backwards after our appointment yesterday. My son is shy so I usually ask the receptionist for a token on his behalf. Sadly the receptionist refused to give us one. In a shameful way she responded while my son stood next to me: "We don't give tokens to kids who have an orthodontist appointment...We only give them to the kids who get their cleaning done." I had no words as it took a while for me to process what I heard. We've had appointments of all kinds and never experienced this before (one time my daughter got a token simply waiting for her brother in the lobby). I'm not the confrontational type so needless to say, we left the office with our heads down, not having the same warm and fuzzy feeling as before. Just want to be clear, this is not about the prize/rewards (we can get these from Amazon for dirt cheap). It's about how the receptionist crushed the principle this clinic upholds. If this the policy she is forced to enforce then the clinic is better of discontinuing the whole "reward system" program, instead discriminative of who gets it vs not. read more

Made an appointment two months out on a Saturday. Got a text saying they no longer take appointments on Saturdays. They rescheduled me for two months later. Fast forward to appointment day when I show up and they said they were closed. Nobody contacted me that they were closed and the front desk person couldn't provide a reason why they never contacted me. I told her I wasn't going to wait another two months for a rescheduled appointment and she had the nerve to give ME an attitude. I used to like them but they have gone downhill. Pleased with the overall experience. I was nervous taking my 15 month old to his first dental appointment. I had read the reviews on Yelp, made sure they accepted my insurance / Delta Dental, and saw pictures to make sure it was kid friendly. Kid friendly - YES! Upon our arrival, they have a fun mural of some underwater sea things. Over to your left, there is a kid play area. My son immediately went in and played to his hearts content. Check in - Not so bad. It was a long paperwork process, that I missed out on the tour :( (My husband took our son on the tour with the dental assistant). Dental Assistant - She was friendly, tried to calm down our son - who was just having it. Even the balloon did not work. But at least you know you will get a free balloon! Dentist - Dr. Holmes, was super friendly, informative. Perks - Love the No Cavities Program, where if your child does not have any cavities for a certain period, you can enter them into a raffle and win a free pizza party! I loved the idea! What a neat idea and fun way to come back. I love goody bags, got a free toothbrush and dental pick for my little one. Coming back? Yes! read more

We had an appointment at this place 6 months ago. They suggested the services for the total of $3800, which include head gear to be worn for 6 months and two front teeth to be pulled. These seemed a bit too much, especially for 9 y/o boy. So we decided to seek second opinion. Guess what? Turned out we didn't have to wear that gear. Those two teeth suppose to fall out on their own, which they did yesterday. In the end, we ended up paying a little over $2500. Be very careful if you decided to work with Let's smile. We switched to this practice after a less-than-satisfactory experience for our toddler at another location after hearing positive reviews from a friend. This review is based on our 2 visits this far. Pros: The office is very kid friendly and stimulating with themed rooms and colorful murals. There's also a lovely play area to keep the children distracted while waiting for their appointments. The staff is friendly and patient with hesitant children. The kids are given a balloon and a token redeemable for a small toy afterwards, which my daughter really enjoyed. Cons: The check-in process was slight chaos due to renovations and lack of organisation. Dentist applied fluoride during an emergency appointment (after a fall) without informing me. We personally would have declined if we were informed of the procedure. Not a stroller friendly location. No room in waiting area or rooms for a stroller. read more

One of my biggest pet peeves with health care providers today is being talked at, instead of having an actual discussion with whoever I'm seeing that day. For just about every kind of care, whether it be medical or dental or something else, it's a trend that I've noticed more and more. "You MUST have this procedure done THIS way." "Why do you care to know how this is done? Don't worry about it. Let US do OUR job." "There's no other option here. Your treatment plan is going go in this direction, and it's the best thing for you." Likely just about everyone has heard sentences like that at some point in their life from a health care provider. For me, the biggest reason why I have no hesitation in giving Dr. Ghatri and his staff a five star review is because never once during my treatment have I been forced in to a corner. I've been given options, actual choices on how to proceed with my treatment. Never once have I been talked at or down to. It's a rare thing in healthcare today. In addition to my interactions with the staff, I realize that for many people getting braces is a big decision. It's not cheap, it's a lifestyle change, and it can be uncomfortable at times. With that in mind, here are some other factors that play into my review. -Multiple office locations. I've been to the locations in Dulles, Springfield, and Fairfax (Fairfax being my regular office), and can say that this is a great convenience for people living around the county. You can schedule your appointments at any of the offices on the days the staff is there (they rotate during the week), and they even have an office in Fredricksburg! (Just a side note, I believe the F-burg office is attended by a different orthodontist, not Dr. Ghatri) It's really nice having the flexibility that comes with having different offices to choose from. -Multiple types of treatment. I have the standard metal braces, but Invisalign, ceramic, and lingual braces are all offered. -Facilities and equipment are top notch. I had braces once before with another practice, and YesBraces blows them out of the water with regards to technology. When I had my initial molding for my braces done, they used a 3D scanning wand instead of that gross plaster material. 3D scanning wand=instant molding! Lots of flat screen are around in the Fairfax office always showing some kind of kid's movie. The Fairfax office also has a Keurig and a mini-fridge, which is nice since most of my appointments are in the morning. To avoid too much blabbering, I'll end by saying more than anything else, the orthodontist and his staff make up the heart of a practice. Dr. Ghatri and his staff are wonderful. Love, love, love the whole staff here! I am being treated for adult orthodontic surgical braces to correct my underbite. Throughout the entire process from the initial consultation, finance/payment, greeting/exit of each appointment, and of course the talented and genuine staff that treat your teeth each time, I've been extremely satisfied and pleased. Dr. Ghatri is truly a great doctor and cares about your needs and is realistic with his recommendations. He will keep it real with you, but will also try whatever option possible to ensure the best results. We've gone through so many techniques over the years (mostly because my teeth were so stubborn!!) but I've had faith and trust in him each time. I appreciate that he's constantly looking for new tools/techniques to improve the client experience in the orthodontic field. Jeni is my favorite who takes care of me each time I visit. But of course, all of the ladies are wonderful!! She's kind and tries her best every time to ensure I have no discomfort after each adjustment. Sooo helpful that she shaves down the wire in the back for me when they're too short to clip more or add glue on the ends - those little things really mattered to me. The office is always clean, bright, and inviting. Their waiting area is extremely accomodating. They have a k-cup bar with water and tea as well while patients wait, a fun and colorful kids room for restless kids, a TV and rack of magazines. I highly recommend Dr. Ghatri and his team for all your orthodontic needs (child and adult!). read more

My son and I were visiting form Seattle, and on our way to the airport he fell down the stairs. I immediately took him over to Let's Smile. The staff was amazing! Within 2 minutes we were seated in a room and Dr. Ghatri was so kind and gentle with my son. They made a traumatic experience so much better, my son came in crying and left laughing and smiling :) I cannot say enough about how professional and awesome everyone at this office is. We had a horrible experience with this dentist. They did a crown on a 4 year old. Even though they let us know on a document that this procedure was going to take place. It was never verbally communicated to my wife that my little girl was going to have this procedure done. I have taken the x rays to two different dentist for a second opinion and they have said that a crown wasn't really necessary.However, If in fact it would have been necessary, they didn't even consulted with us if we would like a natural tooth color instead of the metal(stainless steel). I know a family whose little girl goes also to this dentist office and their girl has like 4 crowns, and she is not even 7 yet! Be very careful, don't fall for the fancy office and gadgets they have in it. We are not planing to go back, and I would never recommend them. read more

My daughter is a new patient at Let's Smile Dental. She just had her first appointment yesterday and immediately felt comfortable there. Karen and Dr. Brown made her comfortable and made her laugh. Everyone there is very professional while also making it a fun place for kids. My daughter was especially happy with the balloon and Moana toothbrush she got to take home. Came in today for a check-up for my son. The hygienists are so phenomenal with kids. I'm still taken aback when I come in. Everyone is so friendly and patient. It's the perfect place to bring your kids. Dr. Holmes identified a small cavity which she was able to fill right on the spot! So beyond convenient. I also love that billing came to confirm with me the services, prices, and payment due at the visit before the dentist went forward with the filling. My son is so comfortable coming here, too, that we will be coming back for years to come! (...hopefully without any cavities!) read more

Dr. Brown is fantastic! We are grateful for this office to remain open during these challenging times. However, I became frustrated when their unnecessary and restrictive COVID "policy" (not based on CDC guidance) forced me in to the waiting room while my husband stayed with our two 4 year old twins. It simply doesn't make sense that parents who bring one children can attend their children's appointment, but parents with two can only have one parent accompany them. (Of course, both my husband and I were masked.) I also experienced some challenges with one of the front desk staff. I didn't have my third child's dental insurance card on me and asked for her to pull the info from the other kids file. I was told that she couldn't do that, and was also told that I would need to pay for the appointment. Over all, the dental work is fantastic, and nurses are friendly and GREAT with children. read more

I have been taking my 6yo daughter here for 2yrs. But in the last year I have noticed a change in service. While the hygienists and assistants are friendly and listen to parents, the primary dentist (seems like there is only Dr. Le?) had trouble taking feedback during my last visit. My daughter was complaining of a painful molar and her appointment was for a crown on that tooth. The hygienist noticed her discomfort and we agreed laughing gas might be needed to minimize any fear about returning to the dentist. Every one acknowledged that she is normally a very calm patient. When Dr. Le arrived she had a few condescending comments that really surprised me. Never meeting me, she stated that I was the cause of my daughter's anxiety during a visit since during previous visits with her dad, she never acted that way. She laughed a bit while saying it and I thought it was very rude and not essential to the visit. Only after I repeated that she had been complaining of tooth pain for about a week did the dentist check and validate my daughter's complaints. I've had plenty of visits at Let's Smile where she has been calm with me as well. Then, just before we administered the laughing gas, she tried one more time to push through against my request and again, I stated I was willing to pay the $4 to have my daughter feel comfortable. My other reason for a low rating is that we are a blended family and her dad and I take turns going to the dentist. I doubt that this is practice-wide, but Dr. Le requested that both parents come to this particular patient's dental visits. Who does that? Even when I stated it's not possible, and that a phone call can be made to either parent if they have any doubts about moving forward with a procedure, she insisted I try to make this work. Not to mention that it is very hard to make an appointment when they are only open for dental 3 days per week. Not sure what changed at this place, dentists, leadership? Who knows, but no matter how nice it looks, the person making the decisions does not do a good job of listening to their customers. In general, this really turned me off to the practice and I have trouble paying a dentist who doesn't seem to value my opinion as a parent and needs to have the last word at all cost. read more

I highly recommend!! I brought both my 9 year and 1 year old for checkups. The 9 year old was beyond impressed with the atmosphere. She had a cavity filled and in the past had to get shots without the laughing gas but here never knew nor felt a thing. She now wants to be a dental hygienist. My 1 year old enjoyed watching tv as they examined her teeth. We never wait long. read more

My 6 year old daughter broke one of her permanent teeth on a Wednesday night. I called the office the next morning and was told that the dentist was on vacation, so they were not taking appointments that week, but could take her on Monday. I scheduled the appointment at 2 pm per their instructions because if the tooth needed to be repaired she would need laughing gas and they needed to administer it earlier in the day than the 3:30 pm appointment I had originally requested. This, of course, meant that I had to take a half day at work. When we arrived, we had to wait a good 20 minutes past our appointment time because there had been an "emergency" earlier. The hygenist finally took my daughter back and proceeded to start to clean her teeth. Um, hello.. we were there for a broken tooth? After they realized that the visit had not been coded correctly, they found the person to take x-rays. A few gossip filled with other staff members later, the x-ray tech took her back and x-rayed her teeth. We waited a little while longer to talk to the dentist and by the time she gave us our options and told us they could fix the tooth, it was too late in the day to be able to do it then, so they told us we would have to schedule another time. So I wasted a half day out of work so that they could (a) fix the mis-coded visit and (b) finish gossiping and wait until even later in the day to figure out what needed to be done. Fast forward to that Thursday evening. My 2 year old son (and aforementioned daughter) were playing tug of war and my son pitched forward and hit his mouth on the floor. After a consultation at the ER, it was determined that his front tooth had been jammed back into the tooth socket. The ER doctor told us to follow up with the dentist the next day. Early on Friday morning I tried calling - no answer. No mention of office hours or anything on the website or a number to call in case of an emergency. I tried calling up until 9:30 am when I decided just to go ahead and go over there. Apparently there was staff training that day. REALLY? THAT COULDN'T HAVE BEEN A MESSAGE ON THE VOICEMAIL? My conversation with the less than helpful person that came to talk to me was that (a) yes, I definately needed a dentist (b) no, their dentist wasn't around and (c) no, they couldn't recommend me to another dentist, but (d) yes, you definately need a dentist. I did find a dentist.. a very helpful one who will be getting a rave review. BUT... 2 issues with these jokers in one week soured me. Who doesn't have an emergency back up plan for their patients? I would highly recommend this place for adult orthodontia. I'm sure there aren't too many adults who are thrilled to get braces, I certainly wasn't. I had a rough start, but it had nothing to do with the doctor (Dr. Ghatri) or his incredible staff. This was due to my own issues with having a hard time with discomfort and getting oral surgery. I ended up with a dry socket and reached my pain and tolerance threshold. Dr. Ghatri was very nice and showed a genuine concern/expression of empathy when I told him what a rough time I was having. He's a good listener. I also found the assistant that is "right for me." I love being seen by Jesse - she's very sweet, funny, and perhaps most importantly as a patient, she's gentle. I have never had to wait for my appointment. They're always on time, which I greatly appreciate. The only thing I don't like is having to be in a pediatrics office! Talk about feeling out of place :-) But at least the decor and whatever movie is trending in kid's pop culture is interesting. It is off set by the nostalgic 80s hits I often hear though. read more

Dr. Fan was great! she tried to correct the mistakes the other Dr at the same practice made(time passed for the overbite to be fixed due to my bones being hardened after a couple years of being treated, and my big tooth was in the middle, in which the other prev. doctor said "it is fine"), but when I moved to a closer office, dr. Ghatri left a space and blamed it on me for choosing to remove my braces (he chose to remove them because I was on it for 3.5 years and told me it would close with the retainer) and when I asked to correct it, he said he can, but I would have to pay again. Lucy embarrassed me the first day I was there and I noticed her treating one staff rudely in front of the patients. Other staff and ALL doctors were nice, but I didn't have a good experience with the procedure :( read more

On two occasions, I scheduled appointments and went to the office to find out that the appointments are not in their system. Terribly unorganized and sloppy. Both appointments were made months in advance. One of the appointments was at 9 am, so I had to drag my kid there and we were early. Arrived there, they said she is not in the system. Plus they overcharge for their services and some of them are most likely unnecessary. Also received an orthodontist appointment for my daughter and were given suggestion for head gear, bottom and lower spacers, that would've cost $2800. Turns out after getting a second opinion, that it is best to wait until my child turns 10. Be careful with this place, they are in the business of making money and not fixing problems....! We went in today for my two year olds first visit to this location. My wife found out about the location when they had a booth set up in Fairfax Corner. We live very close and the staff was so friendly, we scheduled the appointment. When I took my daughter in, the staff was very friendly. I had to fill out all the initial paperwork. While I was doing this, my daughter was able to play. They have a really neat room with lots of cartoons, toys, books and video games. There was also a TV screen in the main waiting area that was playing Sofia the First. After filling out the paperwork and a little play, we were called back to be seen. They have Frozen playing on the screens in front of the chairs. The young lady was extremely nice talking to my daughter. She was doing everything she could to familiarize my daughter and try to put her at ease about the equipment. They have several different flavors of tooth paste to use for the cleaning. My daughter is very shy, so she wanted me to brush her teeth and the staff was okay with that. I think they just wanted to make sure that it was being done. While we were doing that, another staff member walked by and actually recognized my daughter from the event they had out in Fairfax Corner. Pretty cool. She asked if my daughter would like a balloon and what color. Being a two year old, of course she would love a balloon. She soon returned with one in hand. The Dentist came shortly later and gave my daughter a look over and then counted her teeth and gave a few suggestions on how to manage her flossing and foods to stay away from. Towards the end, we were given a shirt and a token for a toy to get afterwards. They stated that if we wore the shirt to the next appointment, we could have two tokens. So, we wrapped it up. Every one said bye with a smile. We used the token to get my daughter a small bouncy ball and we were on our way with the next appointment time written on a card. It went very well. I am so pleased with my Invisalign results and with my experience with Dr. Ghatri and the Let's Smile team. Dr. Ghatri is a top-notch orthodontist, but he still has the most kind and personable manner. At all times I felt like I was informed and part of the decision making process for my treatment plan. I also appreciate that Dr. Ghatri was genuinely concerned with obtaining a result that we both think is perfect, and he delivered. The office is very clean. The staff is knowledgable, friendly, and very punctual for appointment times. They have very modern equipment and treatment methods. The pricing was straightforward and there were no hidden charges or extra costs during my 36 months of treatment. I liked the flexibility of monthly payments and options offered. I am giving one star to Lets smile in Fairfax Corner because I like the doctor but my experience today was terrible. The office billed my old insurance for the last appointment (months ago) and then picked the worse time to deal with it (when my litle one was sitting on the dentist chair waiting to be treated). They put everything in hold, although I told them I would pay for it even if the insurance doesn't cover it. My poor three year old ended up in tears not wanting to be treated anymore. When i complaint about it, there was not even an apology from the woman who caused all the chaos. Instead, she was rude and interrupted me when trying to let her know how poorly she managed the issue. They had so many opportunities and months to clarify insurance related issues with me. Not to mention that my daughter is a very shy girl. It was such a nightmare having to call my insurance while having my little girl crying on the chair. They obviously do not care about the patients. They only care about your money. I am definitelt not giving them any business. I will definitely take my daughter to an office that do know how to treat patients well. Specially little ones.
