Same with prescriptions - never had to wait long for anything but note - it is small and the Pharmacist goes on lunch (between 1pm-2pm I think) and when that happens, anything needing the Pharmacists ok will not be dispensed till she is back. So - no issues, always get medicines, etc that I need, whether it is prescription or just over the counter stuff. Staff are helpful and friendly and the pharmacist is always really helpful in recommending things if you are a bit unsure about whether you need to go to the doctors or not. All in all, a good wee local Boot's with good opening hours (I think till 6pm, Mon to Fri).

It is a very friendly shop with long time staff (always a good sign anywhere), who are happy to help where possible. The pharmacist was nice enough to countersign my sons passport and has always been kind enough to lend me some drugs if I run out unexpectedly. Early this year there was some controversy over the installation of a fingerprint reader for methadone treated addicts called the MethaMeasure. Sounds like a good idea to me!

I'd been having problems with sensitive eyes and several mascaras had been making my eyes watery and sore. I popped into The Body Shop and asked if they had a mascara particularly suited to us sensitive folks, and was pleased to find that ALL their mascaras are hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive eyes. So, I could take my pick, which felt great, considering I thought I'd be limited to just the one mascara. I picked a volumising one and I'm so pleased to say that, having used it for the last few weeks, I've had no problems so far. I knew that The Body Shop would be a safe bet for sensitive skin etc, but I'm amazed by just how much of their range is suited to sensitivities. Also, staff are really lovely and helpful and there are regular offers on in store and online. On my last visit, I ended up leaving with a little more than I'd intended to because it was 3 for 2 on beauty and skincare. I also got a voucher for £10 off next time I spend £25. - Believe me, that is easy to do! Also, I signed up for their loyalty card and got a £5 voucher through on my birthday not long after for doing so. The Body Shop is also not too expensive, considering the quality of their products. I'm definitely looking forward to trying as many of their products as I can and the special offers will help me that a possibility!

I love there selection of make up they have loads of choice of lots of different brands for all price ranges. Superdrug's own range of products great and i worth trying. At christmas they have lots of nice gift sets for sale and you can often pick up some really nice bargains in January i got really nice sun glasses for 50p and 10p! The christmas stock is quickly replaced by easter eggs. They have there own jewellery range which is really cheap i got a pair of nice earrings the other day for 99p They have a good selection of baby foods nappies wipes etc..

It sells all the things pharmacies sell: Paracetamol, Tissues, Toiletries, those weird cherry sweet things that taste awful. The usual. They also, obviously, do prescriptions. However, I do have a sound reason for reviewing Payton & Finlay. It's just so damn charming. The window is displayed with old apothecary bottles on a suspended wire shelf. The outside dons a huge gold pestle and mortar to indicate pharmacy status. Inside, original beams adorn the ceiling, while a lovely old clock overlooks the place. The staff are really helpful too. As my good friend Sam C. said, motherly. I went in this morning nursing a sore head, for obvious reasons. I was greeted with a smile then a completely justified parental look of disapproval and given the medicine I needed. Makes me want to be ill every day.

For anyone who doesn't know what Boots is *gasp* it's a super pharmacy, although it probably sells more cosmetics and toiletries than medicine. It's an extremely large chain, so the service and prices are pretty are quite standard in each branch. When it comes to anything Boots has to offer, I hardly go anywhere else, because they are cheap and extremely thorough!

However, they make up for this with the medicine counter, which is well stocked and staffed by knowledgeable staff. They can dispense prescriptions and give advice on over the counter medicines. It is a great place to go if you need to ask advice or know exactly which medicine you want as it is usually very quiet and the staff are always friendly and willing to help.
