Went to an estate sale in Rocklin. After waiting for 15 min was told I had to be on a list. Put my name on list and as person in charge droned on about all her rules people started leaving. 20 minutes in and maybe 7 people were let in. Sad when you can't let adults be adults and walk through a house. I'll be avoiding this company's estate sales in the future. By 11:20 at least 12 of us left and said not worth it. This company has been running an estate sale on my street for a week and it's like having some kind of dumpster fire eternal flame in my neighborhood. First, the woman running it, an older blonde woman had some sort of yelling altercation with a man as they were setting up at 7:15 IN THE MORNING. I wondered what was happening, then saw her placing the estate signs everywhere for the next few days. Super classy and professional. Next, I decided, okay I'll check it out. I went in and it's just chaos. Including someone microwaving something heinous. A full sensory experience, you could say. Finally, after many days of Sacramento's most charming bargain hunters double-parked on my street, cluelessly looking at their phones while almost mowing down kids on bikes, I can say that I'm done. I get that Levy doesn't control their clientele, but they could create a more reasonable atmosphere. read more

I had never been to an estate sale, being new to Lincoln Sun City I decided to stop by the estate sale this weekend. It was fantastic! Everything was clearly marked. It was comfortable and organized.. I came back on the last day and got a great deal on a beautiful leather chair, some adorable glasses. I bought some beautiful Italian ceramic serving dishes... Went to an estate sale today in Rocklin. Because it was first day of estate sale I found the list which was right there on a table. The rules were told to the crowd then they let 10 people in, I waited about 5 minutes and I was let in with the next group of 10. Sad when adults can't be patient and wait their turn and realize there is only so much room and staff to make sure stuff isn't stolen and this process is repeated by pretty much every estate company in the area. Sale was organized and fairly priced. I will be attending this company's estate sales in the future. read more

I recently went to one of their estate sales and I really liked how well organized the sale was. I went on the day it opened and on the day that it ended and was able to score some great deals on the last day. Very rude to customers. Most things priced over retail. Items without price tags are assigned prices arbitrarily and inconsistently. Late starting, unprepared and chaotic. Has unreasonable guidelines on how many people can be in any one space at one time despite everyone being inside the home, only 2 people in the bedroom or outside etc. The cherry on top is the owner actually soliciting favorable Yelp reviews. There are many great estate sale businesses in the Sacramento area, this is not one of them. read more

Adrienn Levy is the owner, she will sit at the table at your family's home with a list of everything in the home. They will tell you, that they don't want any of the family there while they go through everything in your family's house. Everything will have a price tag on it. There will be another woman there, I will just call the drunk. She will drink your family's liquor and then tell you about it, by saying I hope it ok. You will have people going through all the items in the house. Items will walk right out the door unaccounted for. Adrienn is still sitting at the kitchen table. There will be two to three dudes there, wearing sleeveless shirts taing apart everything that is bolted together, and setting it aside, as "Claimed", or "Already sold". Go to your family's estate sale and watch it all unfold before your eyes, you will be utterly confounded at what you see. You will have uneasy feeling inside, as if something is not right here. People will be coming and going with your families stuff. When it is all said and done, you will receive a check in the amount of roughly 5500, and Adrienne, still sitting at the kitcHen table will be receiving a check for roughly 7000. You will be wondering about the other 25000 in stuff that walked right out the door, right before your eyes, and there's not a damn thing you can do about it. You will ask yourself for years to come in your mind....WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED??? Why this review you may ask? This was exactly my experience. Hire them, and find out for yourself. If you are a family-this business seems to purposefully deter buyers. I made an appt. for an "appointment only" sale today. The address was supposed to be sent to me two hours before my appt. time, and it wasn't. After waiting a half hour and checking my phone and email numerous times, I called. Instead of just telling me the address, they said they would text it to me in 30 seconds. They didn't. So I called again 5 minutes later- straight to voice mail. I explained that I was coming from about an hour away, and I needed the address now so I could make my appt. on time. Instead of responding to my message right away, they ignored it. I went out and did other shopping instead. I ended up receiving and email with the address 20 minutes before my appt-but who checks their emails while they are out? I rearranged my entire schedule for today based on this "appointment"-and that included finding someone to come and watch my 2 adult special needs children for me. I also spent an hour pouring over the photos they had online and doing my pre-research before I went, as I usually do before large estate sales. I am a reseller. They wasted my time, they seriously inconvenienced me, and worst of all, they deterred a good buyer who had $500 cash burning a hole in her pocket. I was working on a home estate cleanup project with Adrienne and she completely blew me off. Ghosted. We had a time scheduled to meet and she never showed up. On the one hand, I was able to find someone else to do the work and they did an excellent job, however, Adrienne ghosting me was inexcusable. I am flexible and if had told me that she did not want the job, I would have been OK. I know she is busy but I do not believe Adrienne to be dependable. Went to an estate sale yesterday located in Carmichael. When we approached, there were signs on the table. I took the time to read the signs and there was one sign that popped out at me. " There's no discount within the first few hours of the sale. feel free to Bundle and we will give you the best price. But if you ask for discounts, you shouldn't be here as you are too cheap. if you feel offended by this, then this applies to you" . Wow! Good lord , didn't even enter the property yet and it already had that vibe to it. We went inside the property , great items , reasonable prices . There was a section for "silver" "collectible" items. Now, there has been a ton of people that walked through this section without issues. Once we walked in, the rudest employee shouted " NO! Only one person at a time! You stay out there. Where's the employee that should be here? they don't know how to follow instructions" . NOT ONE SIGN OR PERSON WAS THERE TO SAY ONLY 1 PERSON ALLOWED. Please note that this was around 2pm. The sale had started at 9am already. We felt the vibe and left! All our items we wanted to buy, we put it back where we found it and left! Customer Service gets a 0. Please do better and treat everyone with equality and be professional. read more

We contacted Adrienne, she came to visit and look around and was certain our estate would do $40-$50k. We set a date which was a month away and she assured us she would be back to stage everything and get it all sorted and set up. She did come back a couple of times but not when she told us she would be there. A couple of days before sale time she did come and get things sorted but nothing was marked, and no lists were made as to what we had to sell. I should have made a list myself but I didn't assuming she would have an inventory list so she could keep track of items that were sold and the prices they were sold for. That did not happen. Also my family and I ended up cleaning and moving items from the basement and a garden shed, we had the house cleaned out. We had most of the hard work done before sale time which saved her lots of time and labor. She would not have had it ready by sale day if we hadn't done so much of the moving, sorting and cleaning out. The paperwork I received after the sale had no item descriptions only how many items were sold and a price written beside it. I have no way of knowing what sold for what price. I wanted to see what was sold and what it brought!! Another problem I found was that buyers were walking around looking for someone to ask questions and someone to pay for the items they wanted to buy. I do not know to this day how much stuff was carried off without being paid for. On a good note, her 'helpers' were great, they worked very hard. I appreciated all of them. Adrienne is very knowledgeable about antiques and other items. If she doesn't know what an item will/should bring She will research to find out. She's tough with the customers that try to talk her down on prices. I cannot recommend Levy Estate Services for an estate liquidation. There's just too much that was unacceptable about the way she handled our sale, before and after. read more

I go to several estate sales a week and I have to say Levy went from one of the worst estate sale companies to one of the best. Her prices are more than fair and I'm a reseller, she also doesn't give stuff away like other companies do because of their lack of knowledge, good for the family. We had a large family estate that needed to be liquidated quickly. I had no idea how to manage or run a large estate sale nor did I have the time. Adrienne was recommended to me by a longtime friend who used her services for a similar situation. Adrienne responded quickly to my call and was out to the home the next day. While her pricing is comparable to other estate services, I believe she went above and beyond her contract to ensure the sale was a success! After we removed family items, they went through everything left in the home. The team worked hard to assign fair market value to a large eclectic group of antiques and collectables. The staging of the items for sale looked like a boutique! The sale itself was handled professionally and Adrienne's team was very accommodating with our HOA rules about sales in the neighborhood. Unfortunately I found this business to not be forthcoming about their views on COVID restrictions (or lack thereof) and in addition they were extremely rude and unprofessional about it. I do not usually take the time to write reviews however I can't remain silent on my experience with Levy Estate Services. I attended an estate today where at least 2 employees were not wearing masks and I simply asked "I am curious why you are not wearing a mask?" My conversation began with a younger woman who said "masks are optional" but that she would put hers on for me if I wanted her to. I indicated I thought they were required and that yes, I would like for her to put on her mask for everyone, not just me. After all, I was wearing one for her. This was done in a quiet and respectful manner by us both, I thought. I was really not trying to make a big deal out of it. Had I known this was their protocol I simply would not attend. Their listing did say "Please ¬¬wear masks". Apparently I mis-interpreted this to mean they were following all common precautions, and at least employees would be wearing masks. That is their business decision and their prerogative not to have more stringent rules, however, this should be clearly stated in their listing and at the entrance of the sale. I would have made MY choice then not to enter. I am trying to support local businesses where I can avoid crowds (I went when they were not busy) and where I believe they are at least wearing masks and social distancing. Secondly, this all turned into a personal attack and 'ugly' when a more senior female employee asked what was going on. This is where she became very rude, trying to 'shame ME' since I was trying to be there in the first place since I indicated I did wish they were wear masks?! She also apparently had me confused with someone else saying she recognized me from another one of her sales, which is impossible, as this was my first day ever trying to attend an Estate Sale in the Sacramento area. So I just left, there was no point being on the receiving end of her mis-directed tyrant. It was a real shame I could not make the large purchases I was planning to make after this interaction. We obviously all have different views and beliefs on this virus based on our experiences. Being a physician my knowledge and ongoing experiences with covid are understandably very different than this employee's personal experiences, but that does not excuse rudeness. read more

People go to estate sales for deals on items, not to pay higher prices than what they can purchase online. Word of advise shoppers, if you find yourself at an estate sale and the people running it pull up their phone and start looking up prices online, Run out! Why would anyone want to rummage through dirty boxes full of rat droppings to find that little nugget only to bring it up to this lady and have her give you some crazy pricing? I love going to estate sales but i would say levy is the worst in the Sacramento Area, would not recommend anyone let them sell there family's items or buy from them. Adrienne, I believe the owner is very rude and lacks customer service. I have encountered her many times and everytime she has treated me and the people I am with, poorly and speaks to you like you're stupid, not to mention the staff working that are being yelled at. She will not negotiate with you even on a Sunday the last day of the sale. If you do try she will be-little you and call you cheap for trying to negotiate. Horrifically run business. Started the estate sale by telling everyone that was waiting at the end of the driveway to "get off the property" and then announced "no questions are allowed once you're inside, I'll be too busy, so if you have a question, ask now." After selecting our items, waited 30 minutes to get prices. The single person that can price things was running around inside micromanaging the staff. Every so often would come out, call "who is next" and give prices to whoever was pushiest. She took one look at the price tag on one item and accused us of switching tags, since she wanted 225 for the pair of pictures, not $40 for one. When it was pointed out that the second picture of the pair was still hanging on the wall with a $40 price tag on it, she yelled at one of her employees for pricing things they shouldn't have priced, and refused to sell it at the marked price. This is against the law: search the web for "california weights and measures pricing law." Then, payment took forever because the person collecting the money was slow, took forever calculating a total, and kept stopping what she was doing to get involved in things going on around her. The company was grossly over collecting sales tax. The person in front of me was charged $2 tax on a $15 purchase at an 8% tax rate. 0.08 of 15 is 1.2, but they're just rounding up so they don't have to give change. When they record the sale in their book, they're not writing down the tax amount collected, so they're just pocketing the overage. The ledger where they record transactions doesn't have any descriptions, just the pre-tax total charged to each customer, so the poor estate sale client has no way to see what sold, for how much, or even know if the company bothered to write everything down. I've been to garage sales run by children that were more organized than this "professional" estate sale. Update (2018-03-30) to address the owner's comments: You can make up stories about who I am all you want. I arrived 15-20 minutes before the sale (number 30-ish on the signin list), was standing at the end of the driveway when you came out and moved your truck and then told everyone, "if you're not one of the first 10 people on the list, get off the property." Then proceeded to lecture us about not asking questions, glaring at some poor kid that tried to stammer out a question until he gave up. Then announcing how we probably all "think you're an asshole, and that's OK." So approaching you about concerns was pretty much out of the question, you'd made it clear you had no interest in having a conversation with anyone. I'm quite familiar with the tax collecting process, having owned (and sold) a number of businesses, currently hold a California Seller's Permit, and spent a decade as an ecommerce consultant to well-known brands (Pro sports teams, large retail chains, that sort of thing) with multiple tax nexuses. The way you are collecting sales tax is frankly illegal. The tax rate as of March 29 2018 (the sale date) at the Nancy Way location of this sale is 7.75%. You calculated it at 8%, an over collection. Then you rounded up to further over collect. A purchase of $15, at 7.75% results in $1.16 tax. Your cashier pulled out her calculator and did 15*0.08 and announced "Your total is fifteen dollars, plus two dollars tax." And then wrote $15 in the notebook. My purchase, which was done for resale, and thus non-taxable, was also written down as the total. You have absolutely no idea how much tax you've collected. The law allows you to collect more sales tax than is required, but then also requires you to give that tax to the government. Since you don't know how much you've collected, you can't possibly give the over collection amount to the government. Further, my non-taxable sale wasn't marked as such in your ledger, no one asked for my seller's certificate number, and I did not complete a certificate of resale as you are required by law to collect and maintain. You flat out accused me of swapping a tag, and it wasn't even an item I was buying. The hold table had a tiger picture on it with a $40 (maybe $45?) orange sticker. You looked at it and said, "Nice try, but this isn't $40, it's $225 (250? somewhere in that range) for the pair." When I pointed out that the other half of the pair was still in the house with the same price tag on it and that it wasn't even in my purchase pile, you started yelling at the guy in the blue coat that was working the jewelry table instead. No apology for falsely accusing me. It's one thing to make a mistake. It's another entirely to make fake excuses and disparage the complainant. I was content to leave a poor review, but since you've decided to be dishonest and accuse me of lying (I've got a screenshot in case you delete it), I've reported your illegal tax practices to the State Board of Equalization and your pricing policy to the Sacramento Department of Weights and Measures. Have fun with your audits. read more

Went to a estate sale on Checkerbloom in Citrus Heights and I've never seen a lady be so rude at an estate sale. Wife and I have been to almost all the estate sale in Sacramento area and I have to say this lady who seems to be in charge was the rudest person I have ever seen. My wife asked a question about something while I was standing behind her, she looks at me and says in a rude tone "you need something?" Then a few minutes later I hear her tell another customer "don't steal anything" while the customer was looking at the jewelry. Then later my wife asked about something that was on the table that she took off and she pretend like she didn't know what my wife was talking about. My wife asked if those comics that were on the table were still for sale? 1st she pretended like she didn't know what we were talking about. The lady gets angry that we were asking about them and says they are on hold for the guy that just left (we knew the guy that left and he told us they were a good deal if we were thinking about them). All you had to say was no we don't know the price so we are holding off on them right now instead of going crazy. We didn't know what they were and probably not even going to get them anyway. Wife told her that you can just say no it's not for sale instead of getting excited because someone asked you a question. I don't know if this lady was on drugs or what but her behavior was very erratic. If you have to deal with customers you should 1st learn how to speak with people especially when they are being respectful to you. If you hate people go g another job instead of ruining other peoples weekend. Will never go to another Levy sale again so we don't have to worry about running into this lady. read more
