My well system is over 16 years old and never had any maintenance on it, so I figured it was time. While Scott was here I asked him to assess my entire system, tank, filter, etc. Given the age of the system, he recommended some upgrades and replacements. He came out the next day and completely upgraded my system. He did an excellent job and now I'm back in business with great water pressure, new filtration system, new tank, etc. Scott was very professional and very knowledgeable about well systems. When the guy arrived, he went under the house, looked at my well pump, looked at my tank. He came in the house with really bad news. My pump was dead, and my tank was about to die. The end me a quote to fix it that had three different quote options. A $12,000 quote, a $7000 quote, and a $5000 quote. If I decided to have him fix our well, the $90 would go towards that repair. I told him I needed a second opinion so I called Francis Well & Pump. These guys came over and did exactly the same thing as the first guy. They looked at everything and came to the conclusion that all I needed was a $200 switch replaced They could've charged me a lot of money if they wanted to, but they didn't . Good thing I got a second opinion. The guys from Water Doctor fixed the problem for a $95 service fee by turning off the power to the pump for an hour and turning it back on. They didn't have the equipment or a pump truck when they came to pull the pump so they used a pickup to pull out the pump out. Since the pump was set with rigid PVC pipe, they broke off the pump and it fell back in the well. They assured me that they would come back, remove the old pump from my well and finish the job. They also tore off all the insulation on the bladder tank piping and promised to replace it. I have called them every week now for several months. At first they would lie about ordering the parts that they needed to get the old pump out of the well. Now they refuse to answer my calls. Like the characters they are, their mailboxes are full and you cannot leave a message. This review is to hopefully keep you from being ripped off by a bunch of amateurs. You will know what I mean if they show up without any equipment and a gift of gab about how good they are. You would be better served by getting a professional to do your pump work so you don't end up with you old pump clogging up your well.

The technician they sent, Chase, was friendly and professional and we loved meeting his 7 month old German Shepard puppy Daisy! The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was the fact I signed the work order to pay $300 with no other taxes or fees mentioned yet when we paid when the receipt was sent it showed we had been charged $311.10 which included a 3.7% "service fee" whatever that was for and they should have told us about that upfront and on the work order. When it's time again the have our septic system pumped again we will be calling Ray's Well and Septic and hope the service will be as good as it was this time.
