He's well mannered, witty and great with babies and young kids. When we go for a checkup I feel he is a parent first (he has 6 kids of his own) on top of a very experienced doctor. He practices at Pediatric Associates (4th floor of building 14 inside Richland Medical Park close to where Hwy 277 turns into Bull Street). The practice is spacious, well equipped and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Castless as your pediatric doctor.

Called to update my phone number and request refills on my medication, had to ask the receptionist numerous times to calm down and stop raising her voice at me. I asked to speak to someone else several times and was denied. Was told that since I owe a bill that none of my refills will be authorized. How can a doctor knowingly allow a patient to go without medication when I had an appt set up for June months in advance. I told the receptionist that I would make sure it was taken care of before June. She continued on being rude so I told her I am coming to the office because I want to let Dr. Boone know how she is treating me. Get there wait a few minutes Dr. Boone comes out in the waiting room tells me I am interrupting her patient care by coming there but to come on back. I was in shock and told her I am sorry I bothered her and I walked out. I should have listened to everyone when they told me she makes unnecessary appts just to make money because my insurance covers two visits a year and after the second follow up visit she still needed to see me. I am upset because here I go and drive all the way to the office assuming that my doctor would see that something must be wrong for one of her patients to just show up at her office, instead she comes out just as rude as her staff all because I have not paid a past due bill! I am so happy I got away from them people! Luckily I found a new doctor just in time in March so that I can continue taking my medication without any interruptions! Experience: My boys have been seeing Dr. Rice since birth and she does a tremendous job. We waited in the waiting room for the surgery to be completed. As we waited, I noticed as other families procedures were done, the doctors came out and spoke to the other families about how their procedures went. Well this wasn't the case for us. My grandson's surgery was done by Dr. Janaki Emani. Dr. Emani never came out to speak to us, which I thought this was strange. We thought maybe she will speak to us when my grandson get to his room because he had to stay overnight. When we got to the room, we asked the nurse if Dr. Emani was coming by to speak to us. She replied, "didn't she spoke to the family after the surgery?" At this time the nurse looked puzzled, but didn't say anything. She stated that she would call Dr. Emani and let her know we wanted to speak to her. Hours went by and Dr. Emani never came by to speak to us. About six and a half hours later she calls my grandsons room and spoke to my daughter on the phone. My daughter asked her, if she could come to the room because she had lots of questions. At this time we didn't know what to think. Dr. Emani informed my daughter that she had already left the hospital. My heart dropped in disbelief. I have NEVER seen this type of behavior from ANY doctor after having surgery? This was the most terrible bedside manner I have ever seen from any doctor!!!! I read in several reviews that Dr. Emani did the same thing to numerous families and they stated that she had terrible bedside manner. Maybe next time I will take the reviews more seriously. But, sometimes we take a chance. I blame the hospital for this because it was brought to their attention that this doctor has done this to other families. It's obvious that NOTHING was done and the situation wasn't addressed. We are talking about innocent children. This makes me question the hospital and the safety of our children. This doctors behavior was very neglectful, insensitive, and rude. I hope this situation is addressed and it never happens again to any family!!!!
