We used Liberty Moving & Storage for our NY to VA. We had initially booked a different mover but upon checking up on this company's reputation, we were horrified at the number of horror stories we read. This company was a moving "broker," where they subcontract the job out to another trucking company and potentially could add on significant costs to the initial estimate, if not flat out hold your stuff for ransom. We decided we didn't need the stress of what could happen and instead made an estimate request through the United Van Lines site, which directed us to Liberty Moving, the local United branch. We had the option for either a virtual or in-person estimate. We we offered a flat-rate, which was indeed higher than the quote of the broker, but with the guarantee there would be no additional charges. We set up all the applicable dates through their online portal. Moving day the crew came on time and moved all of our stuff within the estimated time frame.Two days later they showed up at our new residence and unloaded everything with ease. The only snafu was a glass cabinet panel that broke despite being wrapped. But I was able to file a claim as the flat rate includes basic insurance coverage, and they paid it out a few weeks later without hassle and I covered the repair cost in full. If you want to avoid the stress of whether or not you can trust your movers, then go with Liberty Mutual & Storage. You get what you pay for, and with them you're paying for professionals. read more

Choose Liberty in Commack ,NY if you are looking for a moving company . What I thought would be a simple move ended up being very complicated . I had no idea that having the right moving company could change a nightmare move into a smooth move . Larry was my initial contact and gave me my estimate and remained a pivotal help during this chaotic move. He was calm and reassuring and provided top notch service and options. Liberty even provided a company to take down and reassemble my chandeliers and a huge oversized desk that could've fit out a door . Once the movers came they were incredibly organized and very polite . They made wardrobe boxes for all my hanging clothes and quickly wrapped large pictures and art with extreme care . They meticulously wrapped every single piece of furniture and not one single item was damaged during move - not one glass - not one plate - not one chip in any furniture and we had 2 full moving trucks and a large fully mirrored dresser ! The day before I was to move into my new place I couldn't due to construction. So I called Larry in a complete panic . What can I do ? I had to be out of my old house but couldn't move into my new one . He told me no worries because they had a couple of choices for me at different price points . I could move out of my house and put stuff in storage or they could dump all my stuff into the center of my new home - leave everything covered and unassembled and then whenever I was ready they could send movers back to assemble and put every box wherever I needed . I could choose any day I liked because they had plenty of professional workers on hand . They worked around my schedule and made my very stressful chaotic move doable . I chose to have them do the second option. But the night before that was scheduled at 4:45 pm I was told once again by my contractors that I couldn't move into my new place . Again I called Larry in a panic and he quickly called to stop the movers from coming that next morning without a charge and happily rearranged a new day . On the day I chose 5 movers ( the same crew that did the first part of my move ) came to my new home to reassemble and move everything into place . They rearranged my furniture in each room and moved hoards of boxes into the correct rooms till I approved . They were all friendly and accommodating even though I had them rearrange my daughters furniture 3 times and even offered layout suggestions !! The consultant was rude and did not follow proper covid protocols. He did not pay attention to the things we mentioned and proceeded to tell us that we were difficult to work with, started yelling at my wife and myself and left in the middle of the estimate. Horrible service, completely dishonest from start to finish. Take your business somewhere, anywhere else! We arranged our interstate move in July of 2021, scheduled for end-Sept 2021. One promise after another was broken, along with thousands of dollars of our goods. The untrained loading crew damaged our house as well and when I showed the driver the damages, his answer was "this stuff happens". They declined ALL the damages to the old house flat out. The items that they damaged during loading, I documented and then refused to quit when they threw roadblocks at me. Now more than 6 months after I submitted a 7 page claim form, they are finally offering me $1800. So much for their promises of "100% insurance"!! Don't believe ANYTHING these people tell you, but also, if you do get stuck by them DO NOT give up. Keep after them and maybe eventually, you can get some small recompense. If I accept this, it will be over, and they will have cheated me out of several thousands of additional dollars of damage and loss. Beware! read more

Liberty Moving & Storage charged me approximately $4,000 to move me out of my one-bedroom apartment, store my items for 2 weeks, and then move me into my new apartment just 7 blocks away. Suffice it to say, that was neither the estimate given, nor my expectation. First, I was lured in with a reasonable estimate, which, admittedly, I found appealing given that Liberty could do the move-out, the storing, and the move-in. One company for one price. Unfortunately, once Liberty had a hold of my items (I wasn't allowed to access my own property without paying a large fee), they began charging me for dubious line items like "Warehouse Handling fees," which, in that instance, cost the same as the entire storage fee itself and, according to Liberty, covered the cost of moving my items from the moving truck into the actual storage unit. In other words, the fee I paid for the move didn't cover the full move. They also claimed that the move took 8.5 hours, which I strongly contested but wasn't permitted to verify. They also doubled the number of storage units used without my permission, which obviously doubled the price. In short, fee after fee was continuously added to my bill - all without my permission or with any proof that these requisite charges were warranted. My concerns were treated with an unacceptable combination of disrespect and apathy--not exactly the hallmark of customer service. And more importantly, I was forced to pay these additional charges or risk forfeiting the value of my property. So unless you're interested in experiencing what can only be described as the Spirit Airlines of moving and storage, I would steer clear of Liberty and go elsewhere. read more

We needed to move my parents from Long Island to Pennsylvania, and we had a short turnaround time between the estimate and the move. Liberty came out and gave an estimate that was slightly higher than the others, but we chose them because they gave the impression of a highly competent company that would do an outstanding job. In this case, first impressions were valid, as they did an excellent job. The packers and the movers were caring and joyous, the kind of employees who were proud of working for a first class operation. Items were packed carefully and skillfully, and the move went off without a hitch. Scrolling through the recommendations of many moving companies, Liberty had ratings that were substantially higher than almost everyone else. They deserve the accolades. Hire them. read more

This was the second time in my life I moved. I was moving from NY to NC to retire. I chose Liberty moving based on its sales person Larry Martin and the comfort he gave us in planning this big move. We got estimates from 3 movers and felt most confident in Liberty. Their price was competitive compared to the other companies. The move went extremely well and better than we expected. The movers were very careful with our home and belongings. The moving men were polite and courteous. We moved 3 flat screen TVs and all were packed well. When our movers arrived in NC the truck was unloaded efficiently the inventory list helped account for every item. Im happy to say all our belongings were accounted for with no damage. I moved the beginning of December. Although I paid more than I wanted too, four months later they sent me an email saying they were sending a $16 unpaid bill to Collections!!! I find it amusing that Mr. Federico write a response to my below review nearly TWO YEARS later after attempting to contact me via email and phone (in violation of Yelp's policy--Yelp advised me to contact the authorities which I will need to do if he attempts to contact me again) leaving creepy messages about how if I didn't take my review down he would be "forced to respond" and he "hated to do that." (words to that effect.) He had never saw fit to contact me in 2012 when his company tried to pull a fast one. Apparently hassling writers of two year old reviews is an easier course of action than asking new customers to write positive reviews of his company. He also refers to a review of his companies services that I wrote BEFORE I received a bill filled with trumped up charges (of which Mr. Federico did nothing about and never attempted to rectify until my employer threatened action). (Note to self: Don't fill out a company survey until the entire transaction is completed!) The move itself went well which I clearly indicated in my review below. There was another negative review from Amy C. which was taken down the same time Mr. Federico was hassling me via phone and email. I stand by my review and Mr. Federico's actions two years later merely confirm my opinion that doing business with his Liberty Moving was regrettable. I am convinced that when the nuclear holocaust happens the only things that will be left will be cockroaches, Cher, and Mr. Federico hassling the wrong person about how he and his company attempted to put one over on someone. ___________________________________________________________________ I will say that the laborers who handled the grunt work were good guys who got my things from point A to point B in one piece ahead of schedule no less. The problem is with the front office once the move was completed. I made it quite clear from the get-go that my employer was covering the cost of the move and the move was capped at a certain price. I was given a fair estimate that was binding and that Rich Trachtenberg was "throwing in a few free wardrobe boxes." A few days later I received a call that because there was a contract with my employer, the estimate would be different. I failed to read that it was unbinding. The adjusted estimate they did give me was even lower than the first. Fast forward to a month or so after the move and imagine my shock when I would find out that the cost of the move was nearly $1000.00 MORE than quoted to me (and I would be responsible for the amount over my employers cap)!!!! Was this an estimate or a guestimate???? Oh, and I was charged for the wardrobe boxes that Rich told me he was throwing in for free (which he told me were they not free he'd recommend I buy them from Home Depot as they are much cheaper there). When I asked about that I was unapologetically informed that there are no free boxes with contract moves. I was also told that I had far more items than he had counted for the estimate. I guess if you count two small boxes from Fresh Direct has a substantial additional weight then I guess I'm guilty. Otherwise, I didn't have much in my broom closet New York City apartment (futon, dresser, bed, etc). Hell, I was too busy packing up my belongings and looking for a new apartment in another state to have time for acquiring even more crap to pack. In fact, some of what I had I even gave away so I had LESS than what was there on the day he gave the guestimate. They also went to town packing items that I did not specifically ask them to pack. Rich kept reinforcing to me that I approached him "as an individual looking to move." Yes Rich, I did and I also informed you that my employer was paying for the move of this individual up to a certain price so one has to question why I would purposely screw myself out of a binding contract, pay $50+ for boxes I was told would be free of charge, and receive thinly veiled email threats (including threatening a lawsuit for writing a negative review of your services) over a a couple of hundred dollars from you and your front office stooge. I should have known when I called a competitor and told them what Liberty quoted me. Their exact words were "it sounds like you are being low balled." Ya think? The only reason Liberty backed off of trying to get additional monies out of me was because my employer (a rather large company) got pissed about the trumped up delivery charges and is considering dropping the contact with United for such dishonest behavior. Get EVERYTHING in writing. Absolutely disappointing. I worked with both Rabbit Movers in Brooklyn--they can do local moves (I highly recommend them!) and Arnoff in Albany (they area No. American agent and move people in NY, MA, CT, and FL) and both those moves were relatively stress free ( minus the complaining workers who don't like big cities) and without any unpleasant surprises. read more

I had a great second leg of a long-distance move from IN to NYC with Liberty. My two-man crew arrived at the very beginning of the time window and were finished in about two hours for my one-bedroom (with minimal furniture). They were kind, and careful with my property, walls and floors. This crew typically works in Long Island and were fine about the extra drive into the city and the added details of figuring out where to park their truck, etc. I hope not to be moving for a long while, but if I do I'll call Liberty first. read more

This was our first, and I hope our last, cross-country move. We interviewed 3 moving companies and went with the nationally affiliated one, since we were moving from the east coast to the west coast. Our sales rep, Steven Talenti, was distant and unfriendly when he first came to our place, but became my best friend when he found out that I worked for a national real estate firm and there was potential referral business to be had through my connections. . It was a big house (almost 4,000 square feet) and he went over everything pretty thoroughly with us. The first glitch came on moving day when 9 (count 'em 9) guys came to our home 2 hours early. They left extra early from Long Island to avoid the truck weighing stations, but I had asked them not to be there before 8am because of my condo's rules about that kind of thing. They busied themselves with interior prep work for the two hours until they could bring the trucks to the driveway. Try to keep track of what 9 guys are doing, swarming all over the house! They did some last-minute packing, which was pre-arranged, and the cartons they packed were the only ones that had items broken in them. We were promised a 7-10 day delivery in California from the pick up date of 6/3. After lots of calls to and from our coordinator, hearing excuse after excuse while we drove a car cross-country, our truck did not arrive until 6/16. This put us on the road for 3 additional days, incurring hotel and meal charges. I was told by the company to "read my contract:" -- that they were within their rights to deliver the goods as late as they did. That contract was shoved in my face to sign on the pick-up day after all my goods were on the trucks and they were leaving. It's all in the small print. I'm sure they're all the same, but these guys have your money and your stuff so you're at their mercy. One good thing; the delivery guys here in CA were careful and didn't leave until everything was in place. read more

Mr. Federico... Your company moved us from Long Island, NY to Port Orange, Florida on June 11, 2015. I paid extra money for your packer to safely pack our entire china cabinet as it is of great value and sentiment to my mother. Our delivery arrived in Port Orange, Florida on June 19,2015. First item off the truck was a dining room chair which the unloader twisted, jerked, pulled and used excessive force to loosen the load. Once he removed it, the backrest of the chair had cracked in half. That was the start of a horrible day. It took us two days to unpack everything but we managed to get it accomplished. To our surprise, nine (9) wineglasses and two (2) J. Seltmann coffee cups (circa 1954) and two Bareuther demitasse cups and a saucer were simply MISSING. These were the items that I paid extra for to have packed and delivered safely. Mother was heartbroken when the chair was damaged due to stupidity but now she is totally heartbroken over the missing china which she took impeccable care of for 61 years in that china cabinet. I spoke with Michael Federico, Jr on July 2, 2015. He advised that they will ask the other customers on the truck if they might have received our goods in error. I received someone else's futon slats and carton of goods. I was honest enough to advise that they did not belong to us. I am hoping that your company uses due diligence to retrieve our missing goods using the same integrity as us. Mr. Michael Federico Jr then advised that if our items are not found, I have no recourse since I signed something saying all boxes were received. I advised him to go back and look because I wrote "I do not know" if all my goods were received yet as I had not unpacked as boxes came in. When we shopped for quotes others offered slightly lower rates but did not appear to offer he same level of service. For our recent move we shipped cross country. It was a pressureless experience. Our stuff arrived on a day with 104 degree temperatures. The crew was fantastic. They recycled the cartons, put everything together and were super professional and pleasant. We contracted Liberty for a house move in our town. They came recommended by our realtor. They came to us with a quote of just over $2900. They said it might be slightly more based on the time it takes. The day of the move the workers were kind and efficient. They advised us they couldn't take anything apart and worked diligently to get things packed. Towards the end, the could not fit 2 basketball hoops, a treadmill and a grill. They asked me if they could come back the next day and get it. I had to rent a truck to move it myself. They had a rough time getting things into the house which had some tight turns. In the end the final price was over $800 the original quote as we are charged hourly until they get back to their office. I also found out they left a huge crack in our brand new dining room table that we have to fill out an insurance form to see if we can recoup some of that loss. Let the buyer beware. read more

From the in-home consultation, to the pre-planning with my move coordinator, to move day itself, I couldn't be happier with my experience. I don't usually review non-food related places, but I made an exception for this company. My parents and I were looking for a moving company. High school had just ended and I had to move to a new state so it was a very stressful time. Liberty helped alleviate the whole process. The original estimate that they gave was very accurate. There was no hidden costs or unfair pricing. We researched all of the horror stories about movers who would give fake estimates. Our move estimator was very professional. As well as the pricing, we read about other companies that were late/unprepared on the day of the move. On move day, the movers were on time and ready to work. They kept in touch regularly with all the information that we needed to know leading up to the day. The entire process was made easy with this company. We moved with Liberty about a 2 weeks ago form Queens, NY to Fort Myers, Fl. They made moving really easy -- and let's face the facts here, moving is no fun. Liberty's personnel, from the estimator to the packers, loaders, coordinator and last but not least the driver were great, they showed that they cared for our belongings and made it uncomplicated. This company, Liberty, was subcontracted by the movers I thought I was dealing with, TX Moving and Storage. So this review goes for them, too. I really didn't expect very much when I agreed to this mover, since I was cutting costs. But the experience was worse than I imagined. A dispatcher told me to be ready for pickup at 6-8 am. I was. My movers, from a different company (Liberty) than the one I thought I'd contracted with (TX), arrived at close to 11. The truck had Budget Rental written on the side. The first thing they did was have me fill out all new moving forms, since my arrangements had been with a different company--it took about 20 minutes, while the crew stood around doing nothing. There was no professionalism apparent, just three young men in a variety of outfits, speaking Arabic amongst themselves so I didn't know what they were saying: the boss spoke tolerable English, and managed to do the inventory list passably--one of the three crew seemed to know how to wrap furniture. But things were not well fitted into the truck, my four maple dining chairs--old and delicate--were thrown up on top of the boxes, unwrapped, and immediately fell down. I begged the man in charge to wrap them, and he said he would. He did not. On the other end of the move, the driver of the big rig in which my stuff was sandwiched in the middle of two other households, arrived alone. Four men had loaded. One was there to unload. Unloading from the middle of a tractor trailer, this older (60's?) man was surprisingly able, though it was slow. He was nice, kept calling to find "helpers" and they didn't show. Apparently, he drives the truck to the move, calls for hourly helpers while he's on the road. And arranges for them to meet him at the site. They are unknown guys, they often don't arrive. He showed me how, when the furniture and boxes are removed from the middle of the truck, at the side door, the other ends no longer are braced by anything. So boxes and things shift, fall...it's a mess. I guess I should be glad I was first. After two hours, he finally got a guy to help. That guy was great. He made short work of what was left, and set up my bed for me. So, it is over. I should be glad I got from Boston to North Carolina for $2,500. But unless you are ready for what is far, far from a great moving experience, don't go for Liberty, or TX! read more

I recently moved from New York to Pennsylvania. Like others, I had called a few moving companies to get some estimates. David came to my home and did a walk through then gave me a quote. We packed most of the home except for the kitchen and china cabinet. The packing team head by Alex came to my home and did a wonderful job packing. After a few hours, Carlos (the driver) and his team came in and loaded the truck. The next day my entire house from NY was delivered to Pennsylvania. I was so nervous about the move but Liberty Moving did an excellent job. From David, to the packers, to the driver and movers.. just can't say enough good things about them. Hired this company to move me from Long Island to Texas and it was the worst experience. This company hasn't a clue of what they are doing or how to handle a claim. I was told one thing and then it was something else, my stuff went into 2 different storage spaces at there facility so I ended up getting 2 different deliveries of my valuables. Numerous missing items and damaged items and they also did physical damage at my new property which was an accident and they assumed the responsibility but the process with dealing with claims is a nightmare and and they devalue your belongings and they make you use a second rate company to fix everything. I had 2 other companies come out to access the damage items and give me a quote to fix them, needless to say both companies told me they are not fixable but liberty insisted that it can be done but the other thing is the second rate company has to come and take my items and I should receive back in 4 weeks.. The workers had damaged a corner wall and they sent me two hundred dollars and change to fix it and when I told them that is not enough then they sent me a check for more than the original settlement amount.. I had to follow up and constantly reach out to them to get the status of anything.. if you have any valuables stay far away from this company cause they are not going to protect your stuff and handle it correctly and then they don't even try and make things right.... I lived in Wheatley heights in the Dix hills area and if you live in the area this company is not the one to use, I tried to keep it local but this company was a fail and I don't recommend useing them... read more

First Class, essentially flawless cross country move. I moved from New York to Seattle this year, but I needed to store my furniture for an indeterminate amount of time during the transition. I reviewed about 8 other cross country moving services - both enterprise-sized and small company. Liberty Moving, and specifically Karen (my moving coordinator) were the most courteous, hardest working, most concerned and honest moving company that I've worked with over the years. After a somewhat successful (some of our furniture was "lost" in the warehouse) move in 2012, I decided to use United again. We are making the move back to Georgia from NYC. I did, what I thought was, my due diligence. I read several reviews online and got 2 quotes from 2 different companies. In the end I decided to go with United because of their "bound" quote, which was over $1,000 more expensive then the other quote I received. I figured they had covered all their bases. Both quotes estimated a little over 6,000 lbs. This seemed fairly accurate because we had moved only 4 years early and had not accumulated that much more. This was also a full service move, all packing included. One of the deciding factors, when it came to choosing United, was also when they could get the move done. I was told packing and loading could be done on Friday, April 29th. This seemed fine since last time we were moved by United they were able to get everything done in a day. And I had been in communication with our moving consultant, fairly constantly, so I wasn't worried. Until I was told that our driver and packers wouldn't be able to get to us until 12 or 1 PM. This was a bit alarming since my husband, who was the one there the day of the move, had a flight to catch at 9 PM. Once the movers did arrive (around 1) he was told that the estimate I had been given was too low. This was solely based on the Foreman's walk around our house. And they wouldn't move anything until we signed off on another ~$1,800, to raise the weight to 9000 lbs. I'll spare you my feelings on this because as you can imagine I was not happy, to say the least. After talking with the moving consultant, I was reassured that we would have the truck weighed to see the actual weight. And any monetary inconsistencies would be reimbursed. When it was almost time to move our stuff into storage, I was told that the truck would not be reweighed, and that I would just have to pay the full cost, that was thrust upon me at the last moment. Again I will spare you my feelings on this matter, and tell you this is not the experience I would want anyone to have. After some time my moving consultant reached out to me with a solution that was seemingly acceptable. They would weigh the truck and reimburse me the difference.When I finally received the weight for our truck. It was 6180 lbs, only 40 lbs off of original estimate. I can't fully explain how frustrating this was for us. After unpacking a few things I noticed that items seemed to be thrown into boxes. Which caused a few items to be damaged. As I mentioned previously I'm not sure if movers were told that a full pack was to be completed. And since everything was supposed to be moved in a day this probably caused them to rush in packing. Luckily, nothing major was broken. The team that moved us in was very helpful, and made this process easy. But after this experience I would not recommend Liberty and or United Van Lines. read more

Great service from these movers. We moved in the dead of winter from CT to Long Island. The movers showed up nice and early with a good attitude and had our 4-bedroom house moved within hours. I moved with Liberty about a week ago. Even with my complicated situation, they made moving really easy -- and let's face the facts here, moving sucks. When I told the move estimator that I needed to move about 2/3 of the belongings in my apartment into storage, and the rest to a seasonal rental he made taking inventory on his tablet and coordinating the logistics seem like a breeze. I have no doubt that when I move into a new apartment in the fall, I will have Liberty move everything again. Pros: They can just come and pack everything for you. The driver and movers were super chill and didn't ruin the carpet or break anything so i got my security deposit back :) The estimate was accurate. Cons: Nothing i can think of. read more

I am a experienced mover. i moved over a dozen times in my life and have had a variety of experiences, good and bad. I informed them that I wanted to go with a larger more reputable company and did NOT want to play any games. I contacted them almost a month in advance and confirmed that I wanted to use them as my moving company. then radio silence. I called the sales guy and asked him if the 15th was a definite date. he confirmed it was. I scheduled everything around this date. Again never heard from them on confirming delivery dates or what time they were coming on the 15th. Finally emailed them after several attempts at calling the coordinator. They finally got back to me and informed me they couldn't come until the 17th. Which at this point I was not able to accommodate due to all the other coordination details. They started telling me how lucky I was that they could come on the 17th and deliver the next day. They also told me it would be impossible for anyone else to do this since it was so close to the move date. Basically they threaten to pickup my stuff on the 15th and then not deliver it for 10 days since they give you a range for delivery and the max is 10. So after i berated them on their incompetence and didn't buy their lines about there was nothing they could do. I called another company and they were more than happy to pick up on the 15th and deliver it the next day. FOR MUCH LESS BTW. Then 1 hour later i get a call back from them saying they could pick up on the 15th and deliver on the 16th. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Obviously I said no since I don't do business with liars. Don't use these guys, they play games and their promises don't mean sh!t read more

I have called this company several times due to their habitual calling my house. Told them to remove me from their call list. They still call. It's hard to believe that they would think that NOT listening to a potential customer would persuade that person to use their service. But stupid is as stupid does. Wouldn't trust them to deliver to the correct town let alone the correct house. The single star is due to Yelp not allowing a no star or negative star. read more

Liberty moving sent a manager out to give us an assessment. He gave us a quote, set up the appointment and took payment for our deposit. Our appointment was set up for a Saturday morning. Around noon on the day of the appointment we received a call saying the truck broke down and he was running late. Around 5pm later that day he called and said the truck would be out first thing Sunday morning. You guessed it... no truck on Sunday morning! They finally show up around 4pm with one 26ft truck, two movers and no packing supplies to pack our entire 2100 sq ft home. Of course we call the office to see what is going on. Supervisor apologized and said they would send another truck with two additional movers. The lead mover called the office to verify the arrival of the truck. The manger didn't realize he was on speaker and said he didn't speak to us and didn't plan on sending another truck with supplies or additional helpers. Told the guys to start loading the truck and they would make multiple trips. The gentleman on site explained with only two movers it would take an additional 20 hours and multiple trips. This would more than triple the price quoted. Of course we cancelled once we learned this is a tactic used to get more money from clients. This left us with no truck, no movers, no storage and 3 days to vacate before our buyers moved in. Do not use!!!! read more

Horrible people, lots of promises when you take the quote from them. Surprises starts when you are almost done with payment & ask them the delivery date. First they change their commitment from 7 days to 14 days. Now even if you tell them 14 days in advance, they say we are not sure when it will be delivered, not even tentative date. Absolutely outstanding service by experienced professionals. This was my second move with Liberty and I was totally satisfied. Having moved many times in my life, Liberty truly sets the standard for performance, reliability, and courteous service. The movers carefully pad and wrap all items and place them wherever you want in the new location and they are prompt and very courteous. My move was complicated and stressful. I moved from a large house on Long Island to a small apartment in Manhattan. I took only certain pieces that were all over the house. The crew marked them at the outset and didn't leave anything behind. I had a lot of boxes, maybe 80, some of which went into storage which was an additional stop about 90 blocks from my apartment. The crew was careful, patient, quick and tireless. No complaining or hemming and hawing as I've experienced with movers in the past. They even put together my new bed which was delivered to my apartment simultaneous to the move. This was the best move I've ever had. My only slight disappointment was that the cost was about 1/3 more costly than estimated. Not good, but I kind of expect that with movers and was willing to accept it, given the positive experience I had. Highly recommend and will use again. read more

I had received many glorious recommendations regarding this company. The salesman came out to give us an estimate and explain the procedure; marking each n every item with a sticker as to where it would be placed upon our arrival in our new home in Lancaster, Pa. we moved from our home in Kings Park, NY after 34+ years. They were told they would be packing everything. Thank god we had packed it. They showed up at 8:30 in the morning: a driver (supervisor if you will:Noah a very nice nice gentleman) and three movers. They looked at what we had and immediately started to load the truck. FYI/ I am disabled with a broken back and not quite mobile. I was to stay in hospital bed as long as possible then head to car for transport to PA. So I am watching the movers trying to figure out how they will unpack and put things into the right rooms since they did not label a single thing. They finished "loading" the truck around 4;00 pm. That was without packing anything or labeling everything we did pack. We told Noah we'd be happy to start unpacking at noon the next day. They arrived just after 2 pm that day. There was Noah, a mover, Noah's wife and young son. My confidence in the unloading and distribution of 34+ years worth of belongings, furniture and all kinds of miscellaneous things was gone. They were planning to put it all in the large garage on our property apparently; not to put thins into the home or cottage. Even at that they just wanted to dump it all in the basement not even put into individual rooms. Now when I tell you they finished unloading and we're ready to go before 5:00 pm you can believe my story. It is now February 1.2018. We moved December 15,2017. I am still sorting through hundreds of tubs. Not an easy task when you are this disabled and on oxygen 24/7. Noah was a godsend and I think he did the best with what he was given. I however have had none of my calls returned To me regarding the misrepresentation of the service we were sold and the one we received. I probably should have rated this a 2 but because of Noah's valiant efforts I'll leave it a three. read more

Ask for Stephen Talenti for an estimate, he was so professional and checked in at every stage of the move.
