Now this is something, that for as long I've been alive, you've been able to get at any bank, regardless of if you're a customer or not. But I was told, that they would refuse my request, unless I signed up for an account with them. Well... I'm a recent transplant to Michigan, from New York, I have an account with a local credit union back home, and have had the account for nearly 30 years, I have done ALL of my banking with them, everything from car loans, to personal loans, to credit cards, I LIKE my bank, I can call them, even from Michigan, and the person who answers the phone, actually knows me personally, I'm not just an account number, so why would I stop using the bank, when I would never get the same level of personal service, that I get now? Well Huntington, this exchange this morning, has ensured that if I ever DO decide to switch banks, I will NOT be using YOURS. The hard sell techniques of your staff, and the blatant refusal of a simple request, unless I signed on as a new customer, have ensured that I will not even use your ATM machines, let alone any of your banking services, EVER.

Like clockwork we'd get solicitation calls from the local Mason branch even though it was noted in the file that we didn't want to get them. Then they started adding all these fees to their banking. So since the other 6 local banks didn't have fees we figured it was time to switch. No more annoying calls no more fees all over the place. This branch couldn't even close out our account properly. 10 days after we closed the account 5/3 hit us with a fee for being under their limit (of course the account is at $0. because we CLOSED it) and we had to argue with them over that. They seem to be a combination of dishonest and incompetent. I'm glad we moved our money elsewhere.
