Absolutely unacceptable wait times. I've been all over the world, and this is by far the worst ER experience I've ever had. I waited over three hours without any meaningful updates or care. Staff seemed completely checked out--no urgency, no communication, nothing. I came in needing help, and left feeling sicker and completely ignored. If you're looking for care, look elsewhere. This place is a mess, and someone seriously needs to be held accountable for how this is run. I crossed all the t's and dotted all the i's but they do not know how to handle billing to Veterans Affairs when they have a 100% disabled veteran. This hospital has to be the worse cess pit in Ga. My mom went there to get blood for anemia her doctor has yet to find the cause of. Which is worse on her due to a heart condition she was diagnosed with a few years back. So she goes to the ER, left alone for over an hour, no one checked on her. She had to ask to speak to the doctor, a man named Burke. This man has to be one of the most useless doctors on staff. He refused to tell her her blood results, didn't answer all of her questions and had an attitude. His defense? Not even lying here, ' I give good medicine'. Does he mean practice? Cause coulda fooled me. She signed out ama, which is where he began repeating 'i give good medicine' like a two year old. And this is just the most recent issue with this evil institution. I would give this place zero stars if I could! They did absolutely NOTHING for me . The "doctor " didn't even listen to my complaints. He just chopped it up to period pain which is not at all why I came . They didn't run one test on me . Didn't look at me ! Only took vitals ,gave me a pain pill and discharged me . I have unfortunately had to take my son who is blind with a few other health issues and also my elderly aunt to the bandaid hospital. If that's not bad enough I have had very little encounters with nurses doctors etc that are the least bit friendly. They act like you are totally ruining thier day being there! The worst part is the actual care you get from them is a hurried through experience. No care what so ever. I have seen so many bad reviews on this place and I was nervous but I came here with my husband after not being able to get helped at multiple hospitals and they did an amazing job, super kind, got our results quick and finally found the problem. After feeling hopeless and scared about our situation, these amazing people have settled our ease. Asked if we needed any beverages multiple times, provided pillows and blankets without even asking and have overall been so great. EVERYONE here is so kind and I truly recommend this place. As young adults these things have been scary not knowing too much about anything but they truly have helped us so much. read more

Do not take your loved one to this hospital. They treated my MINOR daughter without our consent. We told them three times NOT to treat her until we arrived. (She was not in any emergent danger). We were only informed that they were going to do a mental health evaluation. When we got there, they had already treated her and refused to even let us see her. The doctor signed a 1013 and they told us that she was now in the DFAC custody (a lie) and they were transferring her to a mental health hospital. They ran multiple tests and x-rays without our consent or knowledge, and then sent us a bill for $2,000.00. They refuse to give us any medical records, and when we confronted them as to how they treated her when she wasn't in DFAC custody and we expressly told them to wait until we could get to the hospital, they lied and said that we gave them consent. This is medical kidnapping. No one will even speak to us about this issue or tell us how to file a complaint against the hospital. read more

I recently just had my baby here and had an amazing experience. All the nurses were super nice and helped me with whatever I needed. You can tell they really care about you and don't just push off your needs. Dr.K delivered my baby and he was the absolute best. He explained everything to me and made me feel very comfortable. I would definitely recommend other mothers to consider delivering here. read more

Worst hospital I have ever been too. I have been waiting over 6 hours to be seen. They have only one doctor on call at a time .

I want to begin by saying the care I received during my ER and MS visit at LRMC was exceptional. I was seen in the ER and admitted to the floor in May of 2023. I received a call late August of 2023 asking if I had received my bill. I had not received anything from the hospital except a radiology bill that was paid. We clarified my billing address, and the bill was sent. I received my FIRST BILL on September 6, 2023. I got a call on September 12, 2023 asking if I received the bill. I said yes and clarified the amount. No payment was made during September because we were in the middle of selling our house, moving, and starting new jobs. On October 11, 2023, I received another call asking if I was aware of my balance. I said yes, I will be making a payment soon. I asked on this date if I was being sent to collections anytime soon, the man said no not at all. On October 19, 2023, I opened a letter (dated 10/11/2023, the same day I spoke to someone who said I would NOT be sent to collections) that stated I had 5 days before my bill was being sent to collections (so only 5 weeks after receiving the initial bill). On October 19, 2023 I tried to clear my account, only to find out I HAD been sent to collections. So my bill wasn't sent to me until 4 months after my stay, and 5 weeks later I was sent to collections. If they are comfortable doing this to an employee (yes, I was employed there from March 2018 until July 20, 2023), I can't imagine what the other folks of this community are experiencing. I am beyond disappointed but not surprised that LRMC is hurting this badly for dollars. read more

The nurses here didn't even properly explain to me on what was going on with the paperwork. I will never come back here again and neither should anyone else. If you need an ER/hospital, and can make the drive to ANYWHERE else, go there. "Disappointing" doesn't even begin to describe it. The only reason there is even a star AT ALL is because of the nursing staff. The doctor was utterly useless and pretty rude. He didn't come in until after I had been tested (blood drawn, x-ray of chest, urine sample), and had thrown up 3 times, which was about an hour and a half after being put in the exam room. He didn't even bother to say "hello", "hi", "how are you?", nothing. He didn't ask me any questions or if I had any questions either, which I did. He just walked in and made an ignorant statement that was DRENCHED in condescension and judgement. When I responded he just said "oh" but never apologized for his incorrect assumption or his rude, condescending tone. He was in my exam room for less than 5 minutes total, had to leave mid sentence for a "code gray", and he didn't even know what that meant.... the dumbfounded look on his face.... I can't.... I heard him asking a nurse upon exiting "what's a code gray?". I work in medical records, have for several years. The codes at the hospitals are something they teach you on day ONE.......yikes. If I had been in my right mind, and not violently ill, it would have been ME they were calling the code gray on, after being talked down to and belittled by a presumed "medical professional"..... just sayin. He was a straight up jerk. I don't give a flying, hairy, rat's backside who or what kinds of patients the ER doctors treat, if they can't leave their own personal bias at the damn door, they need to stay out of my room and find me someone else. I was there, as a first time patient, terrified, alone, and THAT is how you treated me? Wow. I can't even imagine how I would have been treated if I wasn't white..... I'm relatively new to Georgia. I have never been a patient at this facility before, and I hope to all the gods I never will be again. If I had known I'd be treated like a junkie or a drug-seeking hospital/doctor-hopper, when I have pneumonia and COVID, I would have risked the drive to ANY other ER/hospital. They discharged me shortly after that disgusting encounter. Yes, I was in the Emergency Room for less than 2 hours. I still felt violently ill, but I was essentially kicked out despite my condition. Now the nursing staff on the other hand.... that's a different story: they were absolutely wonderful. They were caring and attentive. They came in repeatedly to check on me, asked me how I was feeling a dozen times, the phlebotomist got the IV in ONE SHOT (which is rare in my experience) and they were all ridiculously kind. I'm thankful for them. Literally the only redeeming thing about the entire experience. Seriously, if you need an ER/hospital, and can make the drive to ANYWHERE else, go there. read more

Once again this place has been a let down... don't expect timely care. We attempted to use their walk-in clinic but was told the ER had to see us .... waited for over 2 and half hours ... the billing clerk followed us in the room and the nurse was very short and acted as if we wasted our time coming in. So after our wait my husband asked if no one wanted to come see our son we will leave and go somewhere that will ... the brought us a paper to sign out. What kind of facility does that? I arrived into the emergency room and proceeded with answering every question I needed to dotting every I was asked before I was put in a triage room and then into a patient room. When I first walked in by registered and then went to the bathroom where I happened to be called so when I exited the first question I asked was did someone call my name? The lady at the front desk said no you can have a seat. about 20 minutes later a lady from the triage room walked out and said are you see OHN? I called you at capital XX: 43 and she guided me into the triage room. she took my vitals, gathered more information about my allergies and pain before putting me in a patient room awaiting the doctor. When the doctor arrived he performed a physical evaluation of my neck and listened to my lungs. Then he told me I did not need any sort of imaging when I requested imaging from the triage nurse and explained why it was important. After the 10 minute conversation between the doctor and I he handed me my discharge papers which included two prescriptions. they already had it in my file that I am allergic to a lot of medications and do not take them very often. I went in to the ER on a Sunday night in early November and, when I told the receptionist my symptoms, I was taken right back to triage - no waiting. I was given thorough and kind care while in the ER. When I was admitted, the great care continued. The nursing staff was efficient, warm, caring and tried to meet my every need. I was seriously going to wait till I got discharged but everyday I've been here it just gets worse and worse. So before Monday, I have been here 6 times in the last 4 weeks. Each time I've come to ER they've dismissed, said I had anxiety and sent me about my way, while I was literally at home feeling like the grim reaper has placed the kiss of death upon my lips. Anyways on Monday I call my PCP and he tells me to go to the ER and that if they gave me any issues to have someone paige him because he would be in the hospital. So I come in wait about 2 hours before being called back. The PA immediately starts going over my chart and comes to my room and asks why I've been here 6 times in the last 2 months because there was nothing they could do. I immediately start to lose it because at this point I am frustrated and feel like death. I start to explain to her what's going on and that my DR told me to come in because of what was going on. I told her that if she had any questions as to why I was here to call him. So she leaves upset and calls him. When she comes in her whole demeanor changes and she is now determined to figure out what the hell is going on with me. It took 6 ER visits for them to finally run everything single test they should have ran 6 visites ago and could have been knocked out with simple antibiotics for them to determine that "Hey, this lady wasn't kidding when she said she felt like crap" because of their lack of care the infection that could have been knocked out weeks ago has traveled to my blood stream. Which has now caused me a 5+ day hospital stay. The night nurses are usually the worst because they'll let your IV go off for hours beeping before changing a new bag of fluids. Sometimes it can take up to 45 mins before getting nurse to your room which sucks. Btw the PA that I did have that day I really do appreciate her running every test in the book. After she saw me break down I think she finally understood that I wasn't anxious and that I genuinely was feeling like crap. Not to sure if this is somewhere where I'll keep coming to. And for those asking why my DR didn't do much, well OB's can only do so much the rest is up to a general physician. Dr. George is really great and has been making sure that I'm staying comfortable and pain free, also Lauren (I think that's her name) was the PA that made sure I got the care I needed. Patient care here really has to step it up a notch. Also the physician assistant that goes by the name Tony is the absolute worst. I've never hated someone so bad in my entire life. read more

I brought my neighbor up here and the minute we walked in the door, the nurse wouldn't listen to her complaints, kept talking over her, and every sentence started with "In my 30 years experience..." to outright tell a patient they are wrong about their issues and what brought them here is unethical. I will be filing a complaint with this hospital and I honestly hope they fix this place. Supposedly the ER wing is brand new, it looks like nobody takes care of it. I had the most unprofessional experience in the ER MSN Violeta Hicks was very rude and unpleasant. I came in to report my symptoms and she told me that my symptoms didn't correlate with the damage to my vehicle. I asked if she was calling me a liar and she said no, but what exactly are you asking me to do and I said that I'm not asking you to do anything I'm just talking to you. I had my son at Liberty. I was supposed to have him at Winn but was diverted there. My complaint is with the doctor lying to me about circumcision. I had my son at 36 weeks and 5 days. I was told after asking for the entire time I was there that they couldn't do it cause he was too small. I was told that I should wait until he's 6weeks old to have it done. I believe they are giving parents false information to push their personal beliefs on their patience. Circumcision can not be done after 2-3 weeks of age because of risk of the skin splitting as a urologist has now told me. I now have to wait and decide to do it at a year old or not. At that age they do plastic surgery under sedation. I plan to tell everyone I know to beware of the doctors at Liberty. They clearly don't know what they are talking about or they LIE!!! read more

This hospital is an absolute joke. I come here bc I'm 5 weeks pregnant and I've been throwing up constant for 14 hours straight and the first thing I hear is the secretary say " Well when I was pregnant I threw up the whole 9 months and lost wait to. You'll be fine." Like are you kidding me. I read online and it said that throwing up is normal but throwing up excessively can harm my baby. I also asked other moms who said the same. Oh and I can't forget about the rude nurse whom saw me and would not let my spouse come in the room with me. I told her I couldn't pee in a cup and she looks at me funny and says" well sorry your gonna have to miss. I don't care if it's a drop or the whole cup but your gonna give me something." Seriously!! I went to get stitches in my finger. ER was not busy. I was put into an exam room within 10 minutes. Had vitals taken. Signed some papers. Dr looked at my finger and said it needed a couple stitches. A tech came in and put out the items the doctor would need. Well, almost 2 hours went by and no one came in. I finally opened the door, asked where the bathroom was and see the doctor sitting by a computer. I went back in the exam room and slammed the door. In less than 5 minutes, the doctor came in. I said I think he forgot me. I believe he did. He gave some excuse. Maybe I should have gone out sooner. Or should have gone elsewhere. No apologies. There were no other patients that I saw. The wait times are horrible. Unless somebody has just put a bullet in your head and set you on fire, expect to sit down and binge watch whatever show they have on in the room you're put in. The only reason they got 1 Star was for the surgeon and 1 night nurse, otherwise they have the WORST staff I have ever come across in my 27 years of being in the medical field. As a patient,the staff was unfriendly to outright rude. They even purposely went out of their way to be petty because I had the "nerve" to be my own advocate in my care. From the moment I got there, I had passed out in the lobby and my daughter was given ZERO assistance in picking me up. I was "warned" that she couldn't speak on my behalf. They gave psych meds to someone that was in a true medical crisis. Didn't abide by OSHA standards or patient rights to privacy, flat out lied about the care to be received. Caused more unnecessary distress on myself and daughter. Even though I had pain meds ordered for prior and after surgery they would delay the delivery of the medication to the point that my pain would never be under control and I was constantly hurting. They even caused me to aspirate fluids from not following proper placement protocol. They were NEVER concerned about my care, only themselves and playing the blame game. When my daughter or myself would say something, they only gave excuses as to why it was our problem, not theirs. If you can possibly go somewhere else, please do, call an ambulance to transport you to Savannah. Your health isn't worth the the risk. read more

I went here due to pains I had been having over a 2 day period. Severe (worse than labor by far) pains, nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, abnormal heartbeat, bleeding from my bowels, and so forth. It literally hurt to the touch. I was first placed in a room immediately. No one came IN that room for 3 hours. They came in, ran blood work, made me do a drug test before theyd try to stop my pain (Never done drugs in my life!) Yet they didn't do a pregnancy test before giving me drugs! Anyway, he came back in at about the 6 1/2 hour mark and diagnosed me with endometriosis (Can NOT be diagnosed without a pelvic exam atleast or larascopy surgery) He ran no test, and did nothing to come to this conclusion. Discharged me and told me to contact a surgeon for a hysterectomy. Dr. Bobby Herrington was my doctor. Youd have better luck using google to diagnose yourself rather than wasting time with this "doctor" read more

Every time I have come to this hospital the experience is always exactly the same. From the triage nurse to the doctors I am always treated horribly and disrespectfully. And like an idiot I keep coming back believing that this time has to be different right? I keep saying to myself, "What are the odds that I will be treated horribly 6 times in a row?" And of course here I am again, sitting on the hospital bed and cursing myself for coming here again. I told the people up front that I feel like I am going to pass out. They called the triage nurse who sat there staring at me and says in a very rude way, "What!?" I tell her I feel faint and she says,"ok so... go sit down we will call you when we get to you!" My daughter is having a baby. She went to the hospital at 9 months with flue like symptoms. They didn't check for the flue or did much of anything else for her. They told her to go home & take Tylenol. She did and now a week later she has the baby then they checked her & told her that she has the flue & can't spend any time with her baby. They put her on tamaflue & said that she could be with him after 48 hrs. Tonight at 9pm she was supposed to have him but they said they read the time wrong and now she has to wait another 3 hours. Who do they have running that place? Will they lose the baby & say that she was never pregnant? The time that a mother has with her new baby is very important and because of their mix-ups, we can only see him behind a window. Who will pay for the lost time? How can she get the lost time back? When you make a mistake at a chain restaurant, the manager steps in & fixes the problem. In a hospital, it's different. An apology & a free meal won't fix this mistake. Help read more

went here last night around 6pm and didnt leave until 2am. of course, we didnt expect to be in and out asap, but when my boyfriend was brought back to get checked for bronchitis, pneumonia, flu, etc. we were put into the behavioral health room (literally just an empty room, no blankets, hard solid seat, no bed, nothing.) we were seen almost immediatley but he wasnt examined except for listening to his chest with a stethoscope. we were then told that they were gonna do a nose swab for the flu and was told we would get our results in 15 mins and he was going to prescribe antibiotics anyways, just in case. we waited for results for 3 HOURS only to be told that the machine had over-heated and they couldnt give us results. and the entire time we waited, not a single nurse checked in. they're absolutely the worst people and hospital in general. safety and health is NOT their priority because if it were, we would have been cared for properly and not the way we were. read more
