We snacked on the poutine, which was loaded with gravy and very good. Lucky Hare produces a solid line-up of beers that include a variety of styles from IPA & Bitters to Stoudts & red ales. Given the size and proportion, it's more like a fruit and nut salad with a side of burrata. The house salad with orange honey vinaigrette, fennel, cucumber has a very nice flavor and is good on its own, but kind of redundant with the other salad-forward apps that we chose. The clam toast with bacon, white wine, parsley was very good. There's only two small pieces of toast, which were a little too charred to fully eat, but the clams and broth were very nice. You should ask for a spoon if you really like the broth. I just scooped the broth using the little clam shells. The chipotle chicken wings (special for the day) were very good. The chicken was tender and "fell off the bone." The wings were coated with a good amount of sauce with some heat to them. There was a green aioli dip to cut the heat. Dessert - got the chocolate panna cotta, which was more of a large chocolate pudding in a glass. Not like other panna cotta I've tried. Our server was great. There is good music playing and the bartenders are amazing. Very friendly, good humored, and very knowledgeable not only about the drinks/booze, but about the surrounding area.  The menu is a leather bound book containing pages of bourbons from hard to find to every day favorites. In addition to the bourbons they also have a nice selection of Tequila, vodka, scotch and wines.  They also have an amazing craft cocktail list. All About Christy!…read more My wife and I had traveled from Irondequoit to catch a band playing at Point of the Bluff. When we arrived, we found out there was a $10 cash fee for parking. Not having any cash on us, we set out to find an ATM--but being unfamiliar with the area and misled by some bad info online, our search kept coming up empty. One source suggested there was an ATM at a nearby restaurant, so we stopped in--only to find that wasn't true either. I asked a young server if they had an ATM on-site; she wasn't sure but immediately turned to ask Christy. Christy instantly picked up on why I was looking for cash and asked, "Are you headed to a show?" When I nodded, she didn't hesitate--she pulled out her own purse, handed me a $10 bill, and simply said, "Just pay it forward." Her kindness and generosity truly floored me. I've already shared this story with so many people. Christy is the kind of person you don't forget. Later that evening, our dinner server received a 40% tip--in Christy's honor and with her spirit of giving in mind. When a restaurant hires people like Christy, it's more than worth visiting--and we absolutely will be back!
