When we put an offer on our house and it was accepted, my agent sent all paperwork to Rick and his team. I regret that decision every day. The service through the teams lack of communication, organization, and VA skills made it a very painful process. They did not communicate well so I had to send the same documents to different ppl on the same team. I got ao frustrated, i ended up putting them all on email copy to tell them it is their job to share docs and to communication. They dragged their feet scheduling a VA appraisal- if you use VA you understand the relevance of a timing VA scheduling. They had me emailing around documents instead of using the portal. And in the end, they didn't account for our homeowners insurance in their closing numbers. I thought it was paid until I got a letter of cancellation. We had to pay out od pocket. Truly one of the most stressful closings Ive ever had because of their lack of professionalism during what is already a stressful time. There are much better companies.

We can't say enough about Bill Jeffreys and his Team at Bay Capital Mortgage and their attention to…read moredetail and quick response to all our needs. Bill responded immediately to our inquiry about a possible mortgage with him; he quickly worked up a loan estimate that included the estimated escrow and estimated taxes, insurance and assessments. He was very accurate in estimating the loan costs. He then offered, without our asking, an alternate estimate based on a higher down payment that eliminated the need for "PMI" Mortgage Insurance. PMI is not a benefit to the homeowner so its elimination was appreciated. During the closing process his Team helped us coordinate all the documents that were needed, and the final process wrapped up without a hitch which was super important to us as we were moving from NH to Maryland and were in transit during those final hours and they were in touch with us every step of the way. Bill also followed up this week, one month after our closing, with an application form for a Homestead Tax Credit, and even included a stamped return envelope for us to get that into the mail quickly. We will definitely recommend Bill over and over again.
