While this…read morelocation isn't as big as the shop inside Brussels it is a nice cozy condensed version cutting off a lot of the fluff from the other store. It feels much more book shop vs. nerd novelties with graphic novels. They also have art and a children's section. Of course, plenty of comics and books to choose from. Some of the selection that was at the larger store isn't available here which makes me think I'd ultimately choose the other store over this one if I had to choose, but given it's just in Flagey and I wouldn't have to travel all the way into the city it's certainly not a bad choice. Was easy to walk to and in the square where you could find lots of coffee shops and other cafes to maybe sit and read after you picked something up.

A few things like paperclips and sticky notes can be found at the back. I went in on a whim, surprised at how big and busy it was... Long lineups here! Bought a discounted pen set and one was broken, so I exchanged it for another. One of the pens was a fountain and didn't have ink (no way for me to know that) so they showed me how to use it for ink wells (really? Cool) as well as some ink cartridges. The staff member made a deal about erasable ink, no idea why, and I walked out with some fun purple and teal ink cartridges for €1.45/6 cartridges, and two working pens. Yay! The staff are a bit slow here and the waits long for help, but it's a fantastic location, and has a huge amount of stock.

I did not have my passport with me at that time so they would not give me the books and cd I just paid for with my credit card nor reimburse the money on my credit card...They say they would not bill my credit card at the end of the day...well they did bill. I contested the charges but almost one year later I still did not get my 288 dollars back...The manager was unpleasant, unfriendly...and clearly something very dishonest happened. (note that I speak French perfectly so no language barrier there) VOYAGEUR SOYEZ PRUDENT POSSIBLE ESCROQUERIE A LA FNAC Toison d'or et certainement un pauvre service Il a un an je fis pour 210 euros d ;achat à la FNAC de la Toison. APRES avoir encaissé un total de 210 euros via ma carte de crédit, le manager demande une pièce d'identité. Je n'en n'avais pas avec moi à ce moment et repartais ce jour-là pour Etats Unis. Le manager a alors saisi mes achats et refusa de me les donner et refusa EGALEMENT de me rembourser via ma carte de crédit en annulant l'achat. Il me dit qu'il ne "ferait pas suivre la facture sur ma Mastercard ". En fait la FNAC a empoché mes 210 euro, malgré mon opposition via MasterCard. Et bien sûr je n'ai jamais pu récupérer mes livres. Eviter ces endroit impersonnels Allez plutôt chez les libraires Indépendants, plus agréables and moins malhonnêtes. J'étais une cliente fidèle de la FNAC depuis les tout débuts il quasi 20ans...cette malhonnêteté non corrigée et le manque de correction de ce manager fait que j'y retournerai sans doute plus...quelle déception...

Great bookstore for those who want to read in English. The place was recently renovated, so it's…read moregot a great feel to it, with lots of light (perfect to read even the smallest fonts while browsing the shelves). The store's pretty big considering it caters to the English-speaking population, with two floors, and plenty of variety in terms of books. The staff is extremely helpful and will help you find any book you want and even recommend you new ones (to that effect they also have a blog which they regularly update with events, such as book signings, and the latest book recommendations they have: http://waterstonesbru.blogspot.com/). They also have a great rewards card system, which I recommend to anyone who's planning on being a regular customer there. In addition, they have a fun selection of additional tchotchkes towards the entrance/exit, such as notebooks, pens, boardgames, etc, which reminds me of the Barnes and Noble bookstores you find in the US. So if you want to read books in English, don't hesitate to check the place out!

You'll find a big range of books from novels to history books and travel guides. The place is nice and I love those big stairs in the back, so charming. A bit expensive because they have to import all those books but so nice to find them in a place like this!
