I have just faced a real mafia practice. I bought a Lenovo…read moremonitor and a magic keyboard this weekend. Today, I return these two devices, and there surprise: - the reimbursement will not be made by card (I paid by card) but by voucher. - a 20% discount will be applied because the top of the cardboard containing the monitor is torn. I repeat: 20 PERCENT and not 20 EUROS. So having bought the item at 100 euros, they withdraw 20 euros. If you bought an item for 1000 euros, they withdraw 200 euros for a torn box! After very tense discussions, they agree to reimburse me by card but maintaining the discount. This is what the manager told me: "We are going to make AN EFFORT, we will reimburse you by card but the discount is maintained". The manager therefore hoped that, by reciprocity, I would accept the discount. He is a pro and to say that he makes "AN EFFORT" is no accident. In short. So I refused their offer and made them understand that only the police would get me out. On the spot, the police make me understand that they can do nothing for me. It is not their role. They advise me to contact the head office or consumer associations. It's incredible ! In a country like France, consumers have no protection against these mafia. These companies that make their own laws. FNAC, I assure you that if you don't pay back all of my money, you risk paying dearly. If you're willing to take that risk for $ 20, then let's go. In addition, I refused your offer on principle. My losses are limited but yours ... I have a lot of time at the moment so I will take special care of you. Small hint: I am a computer scientist and I know the net well. HELLO.

Grace à sa bonne connaissance de l'informatique et sa patience, j'ai pu m'orienter vers le modèle le plus adapté à mes besoins. Précis et sympathique, j'espère que vous tomberez sur lui si vous passez par là !

This was worth the visit for some quirky and amazing folk art. There is an exhibit in a dark room…read morethat had so many fabulous pieces of art, that I thought we had seen the whole museum. But wait! Up some windy stairs is a sunlit room with about the same amount of art. Some things were creepy, some were a level of obsessive detail that required long minutes of marveling, and some were inspiring. 2 hours is a sufficient visit, and you will want to reserve time to peruse the bookstore and get a snack, lunch, or beverage at the café. The museum is in the garment district, and the art may inspire you to pick up some fabric to make a collage.

We popped in for the Jeunet/Caro exhibit, because when in Paris, you Amélie. The design of the exhibit space is in a wagon wheel, with fixtures from the duos filmography segmented by "pie piece." An intriguing blend of movie props, original script notes, stills and videography paint a brilliant behind-the-scenes for The City of Lost Children, Delicatessen, MicMacs, Alien: Resurrection and more. A floor up, sunlight floods a year-long showcase residency called Turbulence in the Balkans, featuring Eastern European works but unfortunately, no brass bands. Sad dance party loss. Anyhoodle, the space open, well-designed and easy to get through in an hour or so. If the exhibits catch your fancy, pop in for an afternoon delight.
