They have one stall that has used vintage novel/non-fictions in English. They don't mind if you haggle, and they'll give you a good price ! This is my second time back in Paris, first I walked through here I didnt get to see much as it was night time, and raining, today however I got myself an old publication of "the morning of the magician", got it for 5 euro, I think I got myself a good book and a good deal! Definitely will be back again!

This is a charming bookstore with a solid selection, but the customer service is notably poor. I…read moreordered a book over three weeks ago, and not only has it still not arrived, but I've received no meaningful communication despite multiple attempts to follow up. Calls go unanswered, emails are ignored, and only after repeated messages did it become clear the book may not have been ordered at all. For contrast: the same title, coming from London, was delivered in just two days by Shakespeare and Company. I would have gladly picked up my copy from this store before leaving town tomorrow, but once again, they're unresponsive. If you're looking to order a book, take your business elsewhere.

The store is not only stocked with a fantastically curated collection of used books, it also hosts an incredible array of cultural events-- poetry readings, concerts, and so much more. Even though I live in New York, I end up stocking up here on English-language books every time I'm in Paris. Berkeley Books, and Phyllis herself, are Parisian cultural institutions that are well worth the trip. Wander through the alleyways of Odeon, take in that delicious bookstore smell, pay your respects to your bookkeeper, and most importantly, buy a book!

Not a massive selection by some standards, but in a world of dwindling bookshops this one was quite nice.
