The grocery store that is across the street from Rewe City was closing at 9pm so we headed across the street to Rewe which I believe closed at 10. There was still a reasonable amount of handmade breads and fresh salads and items available even though they were in the process of shutting down for the night. I'm sure other people aren't impressed by the selection but when you're travelling and a tourist, it's really kind of cool to see some of the local eats from the grocery market. As we were practically ravenous from not eating all day and taking a train from Brussels, Belgium we filled our baskets with all sorts of goodies and snacks and drinks to replenish our supplies for our train the following day to Munich. Everything seemed to be priced below 2€, but of course we weren't buying meat or a lot of perishable/refrigerated items. I only spent about 15€ for 20+ items including fruit, cheese, rice, sandwiches, and bottled drinks. If you're travelling, it's a great way to save money on food by just going to the grocery store or local markets, so check this place out if you're in the area.

This location is in the underground level of the Zeil shopping center, so right at the heart of Frankfurt's busy shopping area. Tt's very convenient if you are staying close by and even though it's a smaller format when compared to other locations, you will most definitely find what you are looking for. It gets very busy with long lines especially in the evenings.

The traffic was awful and navigation sent us in loops and loops. The store itself is pretty small, but it has a nice looking salad bar with hot foods also. That cashier was nice enough, and she spoke English.

It's located in the hotel/business district near Frankfurt International Airport, and it makes it very convenient to pickup anything you want if you don't want to spend a lot of money eating out. They even have a sushi kiosk offering freshly made sushi packaged to go. I think selections are very decent here. I've been noticing these sushi kiosks are popping up everywhere in supermarkets. It must be a new corporate initiative to respond to the demands of consumers. It's a little set back from the main street, so you may have to look for this location.
