Wow. This location is an epic mess. Stopped by to purchase a Lidl gift card for a housewarming gift. Very long lines, only two registers open. Tried to use self checkout (only two open!) and the register couldn't read the gift card code. I waited for an employee to see the alert at my register - a young man came over and basically said "it can't read the card, I don't know". He was lacking any customer service skills. Back into line again. The line I was in had credit card reader issues, lines were growing exponentially longer as we all waited. An employee was trying to remedy the reader situation, it was not resolved. The employees were not very friendly. Store was messy, crowded and overall I couldn't wait to get out of there! Absolutely won't visit this location again. The WF Lidl is worlds better. read more

Love this Lidl. Always well-stocked, clean, and organized. They always have a great selection of reasonably priced flowers, so I make sure to indulge in a new bouquet every other week. I typically check out via the self check out and have always found the employees to be very mindful and helpful. Thankful that this grocery store is so close to me. read more

It was my first time at any Lidl. I've heard good things about it but never stopped by. I'm more of a Harris Teeter/Costco/BJs girl. But anyway...I wanted to get a client of mine some nice flowers & this was on my way. They had quite the selection & they were reasonably priced. The store was clean and organized. The smell of muffins hit me while I browsed the flowers, but I was strong and didn't give into the temptation of those sweet, delicious carbs calling my name first thing in the morning. Lord knows I really wanted to. I made my selection of this gorgeous orchid & went to self checkout. My register froze after I swiped my card. I pressed the button for help, but no one came. So, I started all over at a different one. That I've worked, so I was out of there in a flash. My client loved her orchid and now I've seen what Lidl has to offer. I will definitely go back for groceries...and muffins. I recommend this location. read more

I really like this store and employees attitude..cleanliness of store also.. BUT...The plants come in most have no prices...Don't put out for sale if not priced. If they need watering...water them nobody wants to buy them and they next day. Your prices on plants are a better deal than other places..Just take care of them METAL RACKS ATTRACT THE HOT SUN THEY DONT ALLOW RAIN TO DRIP FROM SHELF TO SHELF. THEY need individual watering it takes time..Hire someone to come every two days and tend to them.. You would not sell bad quality meat or other products so this is a bad reflection on store read more

I waited for the grand opening crowds to die down before seeing what a Lidl is about. Plus - "loss leader" pricing on eggs and milk. Clean facility, wide aisles. Negatives - Most of the staple items are house brands, with few name brands available. The pricing of most items seemed to be comparable to Food Lion. Two other things I did not like - I needed to use the restroom, and all of them are labeled "family restrooms. While it was indeed clean and private, I am not a fan of unisex facilities. Also at checkout, you have to purchase bags if you didn't bring any. While I appreciate the effort to reduce the use of plastic bags, I did not like the "buy a bag" option. I may go again for eggs and milk, but this will not be my preferred place for weekly shopping. read more

The store is very clean with spacious wide isles and good traffic flow. When you walk in, the aroma of freshly baked goods are there to great you at the front door. The downside, they have a limited stock of organic produce, but the prices weren't too bad - comparable to the "regular produce" prices at other grocery stores. I've avoided other Lidl store locations because their parking access was so awkward. This one was better. I like that they're close by on Buffalo Rd. However, I'm going to miss seeing the ol' Buffalo home that used to sit there on that corner along with their horse stables. Anyway, welcome to the neighborhood! read more

ALDI's main competitor in Germany. I though it was supposed to be like Aldi but it is decidedly different. I think I like it better. More of a 'grocery' shop experience as I find Aldi impossible to get all groceries I need. Eggs are the surprise here. Not sure why but they are 70 cents and seem super fresh. Crack one open and they are clear and that bright orange yolk is a sign of freshness. Looks like they are local and must be regularly brought in. Some of the standard foods are better and more thourough in slelection. Still had a bunch of weird stuff like fake Uggs and complete snow skiing suits, long john's, gloves and outfits for sale in 90 degree NC weather. read more

I am pretty familiar to Lidl, even visited them over in Europe. I even prefer them over Aldi due to them being much more organized and cleaner. We visited this new location today since it's been a while since I've gone. I got a lot of groceries for a mere $67. They have great prices on produce and chicken. However their sinks didn't work in their restroom today (I had hand sanitizer on hand tho) and they were almost completely out of bakery bags. When we got ready to check out, an elderly man behind us kept bellowing for them to open another line because only 2 were for a busy Saturday. But it was neat, clean and they were stocking continuously while we were there. read more

This is the first Lidl I have been to and I'm glad it is located in Buffalo Rd. area. What can I say, the grocery store is good for what it is. Pretty similar to Aldis but still different. The store is nice and clean. The place is well staffed and the service is good; for now since it just opened up. I wasn't expecting them to have self checkout, which they do, its a definite plus. The self checkout also has a huge bagging area. Their bakery is pretty legit I can smell it once I walk in. Overall its a nice medium size store to get almost all the groceries you might need. However, they don't have a deli section, fresh seafood section and a live butcher section. They only have sections with meat, poultry and seafood already packaged, frozen and cold. The pricing is reasonable, your dollar will stretch further compared to Wholefoods lol. read more

Lidl was a very fun grocery experience! It was super cool to take a look into what European grocery stores look like. The bakery at Lidl was exceptional and the sugar cookies and the chocolate chunk cookies were some of the best I've ever had! They have a great selection of artisan cheeses and meats and super cool styles of hummus, dips, crackers, yogurt, and other cool stuff. The only bad part was that there was no deli where you could choose the meat and cheese you wanted and they would cut it on the spot. Also they didn't have many cleaning supplies. I would definitely recommend it though, for anyone in the area! read more

Very clean. I hope it lasts. The Aldi down the street closed and I knew Lidl was closely related, so I decided to stop in for the one thing I needed. The parking lot layout is a little strange, but I got a space near the front door (thankfully it wasn't raining anymore). I easily located what I was looking for and saw a few more things that I would have liked to pick up if I had the time and was headed straight home, but unfortunately I had to go back to work. Overall I like the setup of the store. First impression when I first walked in was to see two (2) Power Disable carts and both with No Battery Charged ( DEAD ). As a Disabled person I was totally disappointed to see the power chairs sitting there not charged. I tried walking through the store with my walker but it was very tiring. Please charge chairs overnight so that they are readily available at 8:15 A.M. in the morning. read more

Should be a zero for customer service! I reached out to an associate for help finding at item, he supposedly reached out to someone on his intercom-like system and came back saying he was told all items where out there. I told him it wasn't and instead of perhaps helping me find the item, he rudely said "ma'am, if they said it's there, then it's there" and left me looking stupid. I left the store almost in tears, the guy walked past me while still in the store and I was scared he would rebuke me again. read more

At the start of the pandemic, I went to Lidl to get groceries. At the checkout line, I waited my turn, stay six feet from the person in front of me, and when they were gone, began putting my items on the belt. The old man in line behind me walked up what felt like 6 inches from my neck and began stacking his groceries on the belt behind me, completely ignoring all health and distancing guidelines. The young lady behind the counter immediately stopped him, told him to pick up his groceries, step back 6 feet and wait his turn. His indignant grumbling was music to my ears and he put everything back into his cart and back up away from me. This is why I have grocery shopped EXCLUSIVELY at this Lidl location since that day. Great place to shop, price we're reasonable. I miss the great cookies they use to sell. Maybe can work on the long lines. Though I use the self check out , I did not like the other who was not familiar with it to have to deal with it. Manager need to come out of office just to be aware of what is going on. I can't get enough of their European style pastries. With other supermarket bakeries, higher price doesn't spare you from enough sugar to rot your teeth at first bite! They offer a nice and wide supply of meat dispute not having a butcher counter. All their fresh meat appears vacuum sealed at the factory which I believe is safer for consumers than store cut and wrapped. Prices for the meat are not exceptional ly cheap but I feel their quality and variety warrants it. As to the rest, we do have to occasionally go to Harris Teeter to finish our shopping. The produce section is limited but is to be expected for their store size and format. read more

When you asked for more French baguettes, I actually went there specially to buy them. The bakery associate asked me to come back in 45 minutes, so I spent my 45 minute plus more time for shopping other stuff that I don't really need waiting for the French baguettes to come out, and it is 45 minutes expired ready for them. She told me after I wasted my precious time that she wasn't able to make any more read more
