I went during the slow hours of the day and approx. two other customers were there and three or four women who were employed there besides the female bar tender. It took a few minutes for my eyes to adjust after walking inside from the outdoor bright Florida sunshine. I was instantly greeted by an employee dancer, I guess her heritage might've been either Cuban, Mexican or from Ecuador but anyways she thought I was to tense and gave me a back massage while I sat in my bar stool chair because she wanted to losing me up for a lap dance, at least that's what they called it back in my day. Ah, good ol' Lido's. Another spot my team and I like to visit whenever we're in the area because it features the better and more personable dancers on the island. Entry is only $5 and they offer a very small military discount. Works for me! Drinks are an average of $5 for beer and a little more for liquor. So pretty much on par with most gentlemen's clubs. Service is always on point and I never have to wait to be helped. The dancers here are lovely and personable, but sometimes have a habit of standing around and chit-chatting, even in a room full of people. But for the most part they move around visiting with customers and striking up actual conversations. And what I like most: most of them keep it real! None of this BS to go straight for the jugular to get you to buy a dance. No, they will chat it up with you for a while, in some cases all evening with no expectations (although I'm sure they'd be grateful for your money). I actually keep in touch with a couple I've met because we got along well. Any way, if you're in the area and looking for a fun time, this is the place. This Saturday night we had gone to Inner Room, Cheaters and Lido Cabaret before going dancing. Lido Cabaret was awesome. It was very couple friendly. The staff was very courteous, a doorman opened the door for us. Drink prices were reasonable and specials seemed almost constant. HUGE Party atmosphere. Dancers were great, friendly and really pretty. My only complaint is the restrooms were a little dated, and asked a server who said they were being remodeled and we would prefer more rock or at least known club music over unknown hip-hop. Drink prices were reasonable, the usual 8$ range, management was very hospitable, bartenders very friendly & accommodating. The club is set up very nice, the music rocks, unlike SoFlo clubs where it's one Lil Wayne song after a Drake song, & then the Weekend in hourly rotation. This club has a good mix of rock laced in as well. I will agree with other reviews here though, the girls, being beautiful, are not very personable. I say with my girl for over an hour, & other than a few girls flashing the typical stripper smile, we were not approached by 1 dancer. It's set up like a traditional strip club where dancers take the main stage and then go to a satellite. I do not like the private dance area. It's too open, too bright, too small and right when you walk in the club. No chance for a real "private" dance or basically to not have everyone up in your business. I was down on a business trip and stopped at one of the local restaurants asked the server if there was any gentlemen's clubs in the area. She said Lido was the classiest and her favorite of the 4 in the area. I decided to stop in, it was a Wednesday night I arrived around 930pm cover charge was reasonable. The club is definitely better than anything what we have back home it has that home town feel I could tell lots of regulars come here. I was greeted by the bartender Carissa who was waving and welcoming me and motioned me to a barstool. I took her notion and stopped, she was excited to tell me about Whiskey Wednesday and all the great specials that the club offers on this night. She was very knowledgable of her products even making some top shelf recommendations and pointing to "Whiskey Row" as she called it, being from Kentucky I was impressed with her bourbon and whiskey knowledge. Carissa or " Stretch" as one man was calling her was super friendly and was awesome conversation for the night she even told me about some cool things Brevard County had to off and to check out on my trip I always appreciate a local. Carissa asked me what kind of lady I would like to sit with and grabbed a very nice girl blonde beautiful and very energetic. The club had a good mix of Dancers you could say someone for everyone tastes. I went and sat by the stage for a while and tipped the girls as lap dances are not for me, but most dancers thanked me after their set. The servers were on top of things and checking on my frequently and the music mix was great some good classic rock and top 40 stuff for the young bucks. Wasn't in the club for very long, but the door girl was really snobby when I walked in. The parking was great but the VIP dance room was smaller than my walk in closet. Some cute girls that could probably show me a good time, but I couldn't get over how smokey the room was. Also, anytime I tried to strike up a conversation and lead in to a dance I was interrupted by a multitude of girls ganging up on me to sell a t-shirt. I was out with some buddies this past weekend and at one point,one recommended we finish the night out at Lido Cabaret. It looked pretty good inside, was well lit, and had some fine looking dancers. After grabbing some brews, we found a table near the stage and watched a few girls dance through their sets. After a few songs, I decided to buy a dance from a a cute dirty blonde who went by the name of "Tequila" I've heard about the value of the $20 lap dance at Lido and was excited to see what kind of mileage my money would get me. The girl was definitely cute, (besides a few awkward looking piercings and more than a few soon to be regretted tattoos), and she definitely knew how to please her customers... I enjoyed lots of two way touching and more than an ample amount of grinding in all the right areas, but unfortunately the experience soon went downhill and has left me hesitant to return to Lido again. As the first song ended , I quickly pulled out another $20 so I could enjoy another dance. She soon chose some weird rap song about Star Wars that sounded like it was sung by a Chipmunk on ether. I can't tell if she just didn't give a fuck anymore after getting $40 for me, or if this girl was a legitimate head case. During the second song she started tearing up and talking about how her baby's father worked at mcdonalds and would never take the trash out, and how mello yellow and sweet tea are not cheap, and how she's got a baby to feed.I sat there stunned as she poured out her personal problems faster than she found started rubbing my cock during the first dance. It didn't stop , either. She then spent the next five minutes bitching about Chris more, and how he would always force her to make baskets of chicken and jugs of sweet tea even though he only worked part time, while she was a hooters girl and raised their son at the same time. During these rants, her Southern vernacular reared it's ugly head and she said the word " ya'll" more times than I heard in my life. Service and girls were good but low review was due to security mistreating us as foreigners considering we spent considerable money in the club. I'd rather spend my hard earn money where appreciated. I was told by security my money wasn't good enough and wallet slapped out of hand after being cursed at and pushed out of the club upon walking out on my own. Then antagonized by security to start an argument in the parking lot due to them following me out the door which wasn't necessary if I've left the building already. Upon first review I would have given the club a 4 but after the second visit I'm very displeased upon treatment and disrespect of the security. My mother never said such foul words to me so therefore I refuse to hear it from someone I don't know. I would fly somewhere else in the world before I visit that establishment again in my life. Apology or not I'd rather not be cursed at for doing nothing wrong although someone else did. Paid for 4 of my friends to get in paid $25 for all of us, bought the first round of drinks for $25+$7. Fat dancer literally hauls me out of my seat without saying a word pushes me down on a seat and starts forcing herself on me. After a small period of time she informed me I owe her $80. I laughed at her and offered her what I had in my wallet which was an extremely reasonable $65 really at this point I was just ready to go after being swindled and overpaying to see fat dancers. She stomps away and I find myself confronted with bouncers dressed like characters from a zoot suit riot video. Obviously I was not the first to be swindled as I was informed that I had to leave. I was shocked I was actually being tossed out 15 minutes after arrival. I spent $122 in 15 mins and wasn't impressed to begin with and now I was being tossed. The only thing decent about the place was the bouncer he was a nice guy and said he was sorry he obviously sees intelligent honest people ripped off often.
