Alan at the Payette location was very nice, I won't be seeing him again, but he will be the last person who sees me. Glad to have that settled, it's always hard to negotiate these prices in the midst of grief and stress. The prepayment is deposited into a trust account at a local bank, and if I want to use the prepayment to pay for another family members' cremation I can cancel the prepayment and get my money back anytime and set up a new prepayment plan for them. Spending thousands of dollars as some kind of message about how much you loved your relative only enriches the funeral home. Go cheap and ask your dear departed's forgiveness.

I'm not sure what was going on, but John Yraguen, who gets very positive reviews here on Yelp and via word-of-mouth, was incredibly unprofessional. My brother and his partner were together for 23 years and have two children, however they were unmarried. This seemed unacceptable to Mr. Yraguen, as he made several jokes to my grieving sister-in-law, including "So you couldn't get him to marry you after 23 years?" After calling around to other funeral homes, a family member who was paying for the services had questions about the discrepancy in prices between Nampa Funeral Home and other providers, specifically the approximate $1000 difference for cremation. Mr. Yraguen responded by calling my sister-in-law directly, yelling at her, and stating that her parents could "come and get their goddamned money!" This was our family's go-to funeral service provider for nearly four decades. No longer.

Flahiff Funeral Chapel was horrible! They didn't tell us when they were going to cremate my…read moregrandfather. After we had to call and ask if he had been cremated, they said his ashes would be shipped (we live in another state) the following Monday. We did not receive my grandfather's ashes until Friday. When my father opened the postal box (to pull out the death certificates) the flimsy box they called an urn was wide open and my grandfather's ashes were all over the place. My dad was in tears as he cleaned up his father's ashes. When I called the funeral home, Haley was very rude and not sympathetic at all. She said it was our fault and we needed to take it up with the post office! I asked for the manager to call me. When he did, Johnathan was the same as Haley. This place does not care AT ALL about your loved ones. I have had other positive experiences with other loved ones passing and this place was shocking. Please do not take your loved ones here if you would like them handled with love and compassion. These people are only working there for a paycheck and could care less about giving our loved ones a loving send off and they do not handle them with care. They said my dad should have taken a photo of the remains and then they would care. RIDICULOUS! Fortunately Joelee did come to my rescue. However, the urn had to be ordered, and I was told that I would be notified, as soon as it arrived, so I could pick up my daughter's ashes. I was NEVER notified. The urn, with my daughter's ashes, had been sitting on a shelf for a week, and nobody bothered to let me know that I could finally bring my daughter back home. When I asked Cris why I wasn't notified, all I got was a snotty arrogance and lack of concern. So If you want to commit your loved one to the coldest, most arrogant, people, who don't even know how to say "I'm sorry," and couldn't care less about you or your loved one, pick Summer's Funeral Home.
