Everyone in the church genuinely cares for each other and you can just tell in your spirit. The worship is great and the teaching is rich and life giving. Our kids have learned so much about Jesus and made great friends in the children's ministry, and my wife and I look forward to Men's ministry and Women's ministry nights once a month (plus some awesome retreats)! What Grace Hills, with Pastor Brandon at the helm, has done is create a sense of just how powerful a working relationship with God can be, and how it impacts everyday life. Brandon gives practical, positive messages about an active experience of God's love. He makes it real, without judgment or threats of wrath. Several years ago we found ourselves needing to find a new church home. After visiting churches for…read moremonths we were about to give up hope, and then we found New Life Christian Church (formerly Bella Vista Christian Church). We knew from the first visit that this was the place God wanted us to be in. What really sealed the deal for us was the church's unwavering stance on preaching the Gospel and not conforming to worldly views. As a father, is it so comforting knowing my family is being taught the true words of Christ. While the church is growing in size, with the multiple services it still has the personal feel - and there are many opportunities to jump in and feel as connected as you want to be. Finally, the Youth program is AMAZING. I have 2 teenage daughters who have been very involved with the youth group, and it has really helped to shape their lives. Sure there are lots of fun trips and outings, but most importantly each week there is a strong lesson delivered to the students followed by small group discussions to take a deeper dive into the subject matter. If you are in the same boat we were in and looking for a new Church, please put this one on your list to visit. I went to an adult group they had a few times while visiting that was spiritually nourishing. I have had some bad experiences with a staff member being overtly rude then suddenly changing attitudes finding out I worked in television. Also, there was a young adult group leader that I'm hoping has matured since I attended the group. That group was extremely elementary for being for adults living in a world facing real problems. Things happen as churches grow larger and it becomes harder to keep up with these things. I do think God's hand is over Cross Church and blessing it. I hope they continue to grow but more importantly are able to keep the community warmly welcomed from all walks of life leading to Jesus and the bad attitudes of the set few are changed so no one is turned away.

While in service, there was a smoke/fog of some kind, that burned my eyes. My wife and I discovered this church via the Celebrate Recovery program offered at the church. I was free on Wednesday nights so I checked out there Wednesday night services. The Christmas weekend my wife and I visited together. We saw how the Spirit of the Lord was present in the church and the believers moving to carry out the Great Commission. I got plugged immediately into the men's group by visiting a Teen Challenge boys camp. My wife got plugged in the women's group. We are both going thru the membership process as we are led to make Catalyst our church home. We love how the church desires to see us and others come into an abiding relationship with Jesus. We come to see the presence of God during corporate worship. I am humbled they are opened to all people no matter the hurt, habit, or hangup people struggle everyday. The teaching is definitely Bible grounded. You wear whatever you are comfortable. Pastor Nate has a spiked hairdo. Pastor Richard is a biker dude. The church makes everyone new feel safe , comfortable, and wanted. They show the true love of Jesus.

Personally, I want to hear messages that bring me to check my own heart as drive me closer to Christ- so this church is great for me. Free coffee every Sunday. They have clean restrooms. They also have a separate room set up for mothers and fathers that have newborns where they can watch the service without distraction. Clean nursery and programs for all ages.

They encourage community. The service is a mix of modern and traditional. It has a worship leader, but they sing some traditional songs. The pastors rotate through, which seems to keep one pastor from being the it" guy. The nice thing is they continue the sermon topic no matter who's speaking. This is a bible based church. They start in a book and work through it verse by verse. It's not a dry as I just made that sound. The pastors are all interesting (although different styles). Give it a try!
