We braved the heavy rain and even heavier wind and went in for dinner and a few drinks. With warm and inviting decor and friendly staff, we ended up staying for quite awhile. They also have a window you can order wine at (yeah, think Little Havana in Miami, only here you order very good wine instead of empanadas) and some tables outside where you can sit, sip your wine and do a little people watching. Nice place to chill after a long walk in the city; they have very good wines, price are reasonable and they always give you a little complementary food with your glass, a couple of slices of salami or prosciutto or whatever they have. Sometimes when I am back in Trieste, I sit there, outside, enjoy 2 glasses of wine and let memories of my many years spent in my hometown occupy my mind.

The indoor seating was clean, attractive and recently upholstered. Don't think of sitting outdoors unless you're a smoker too. Our server was super hospitable and found us something to eat even though we had arrived prior to dinner time (7:30 pm). Apparently only drinking occurs in the late afternoon in Trieste, because we couldn't find any downtown restaurants serving dinner at the time most Americans want to eat their evening meal.
