So you are assured a spot and a time, with minimal waiting. -large and bright office, and impeccably clean. -FREE WI-FI. (This is a real rarity at other lab sites). -more services are offered here than at many other LifeLab sites. Examples: EKG's, cardiac holder monitors, etc. -Professionalism of staff. A female checked me in (I didn't get her name) and although she was somewhat aloof, she was thorough and organized and I had zero wait time. My tech was Ian and he was phenomenal. I have had to get cardiac monitors and EKG's frequently and he was the most thorough when it came to instructions and, wow, they even provide you with a mesh "vest" over the monitor (I never got that before, and it made a huge difference in comfort level and stability). And even upon returning the following day, the staff here remembered me and the whole "disconnect and drop-off" experience was, dare I say, pleasant. My experiences at this site were unlike any I've had at other LifeLabs, and this will be the only site I go to from here on in, for sure.

When I got there 40 minutes later, the wait time was still 25 minutes. 20 minutes after that, the wait was still 21 minutes. 30 minutes after that the wait was still 20 minutes according to the app. The only good thing was that I went afterwards and vented to the tech and she let us wait inside becuase the person that need the shot was a senior. About 20 minutes after that we were done. It's lucky they lifelabs has a monopoly because If I could, I'd use someone else. Total wait time, close to 2 hours. Yuck.

Be prepared to to spend at least 90 minutes any time of the day waiting for your turn. There's a coffee shop outside the building, therefore, I went there to kill some time and work on my 'zine. The actual space is cold and uninviting. There are two outlets, therefore, for the long wait there's always someone hogging the plug to charge their phone. The nurses are rushed and impersonal, kinda rude. They don't give you a cookie any more unless you ask. I have issues with blood and faint at every blood test. I fainted of course and when I came to they still didn't offer me a cookie. When I asked for juice and a cookie to get my blood sugar up (I have a blood sugar issue) they looked at me as if I asked them for a million dollars. Not to mention they always have trouble finding a vein. The reason why they get a 3 is 'cause they give results in a reasonable time frame.

Just came here for another regular and usual blood test and urine test I normally have to do…read more It went somewhat smoothly in terms of poking to find a vain to draw some of my blood. The only gripe I have this time is that the nurse I had today. Most of the time when I did my usual blood & urine test, especially last time I was there, my nurses tend to usually be very nice, polite and had a decent bedside manner. But this time, the nurse i gotten, I started getting this offensive vibe from her, especially when she asked me to face away from her when I was trying to say something to her (irrelevant stuffs unrelated to this review) while she was drawing blood from me. I understand that due to the COVID19 pandemic, people are taking precautions and Today seems a little busier (likely due to it being around lunch time), but the few moments I was there, it sounded like the other nurses had a bit more better bedside manner than mine to put it nicely. Point is, it makes me wonder if the nurse I had today (while weren't even close to the rudest person I've met nor heard about from other people's experiences with people) had a slight attitude towards me for some reason or if there was just some explainable reason for the less than usual bedside manner.

Morning is usually busy and the wait time for walk ins can be an hour though it really depends. Check the website on estimated wait time before going over. Or make an appointment online which is what I usually do. I did a walk in on my last visit and it was about 20-30 minutes wait. I liked that there is a monitor showing the wait time there. There are 4 chairs for taking blood samples. Two washrooms to use, with an area to deposit your urine and stool samples in it. The phlebotomists are usually quite good. I've only encountered one who could have better bedside care. She told me I could go, so I left. Then I discovered the puncture site was bleeding. The blood soaked up the cotton pad and through my jacket when I got to my car. I went back and asked what do I do. She made seemed like it was my fault and didn't offer any wipes to clean up the blood. I was given a new bandaid and instructions to press on it for 5 mins before leaving. So I learnt my lesson. I now pressed on the site for at least 5 minutes before leaving the chair. You can also email the requisition form before hand. Do it at least 5-10 minutes or earlier so you can get the confirmation number which the front desk required. There are a few steps to get to the clinic though there is also a ramp for those who find steps challenging. Free street parking is available here, and there is a bus stop right outside. If this place is very busy, there is another lifelabs a couple of blocks away.
