Accessibility: Poor. Attention to Patient Needs: Poor. Bedside Manner: Poor. Initially friendly, but quickly impatient. Interrupts, does not allow the patient to communicate. Assumes rather than inquires. Lectures rather than listens. Knowledge Base: Questionable, remedial. My Experiences: Dr. Behling was physically absent at 2 of 3 in-office appointments, unprepared at 3rd visit. At my initial assessment, the MA took my vitals, led me to an exam room, and then after a long wait brought in an iPad with Dr. Behling on a video chat app. If you work in healthcare, you know all initial assessments are performed in-person. This also happened at my third visit. It is frustrating to drive 35 minutes to an office and sit there for an hour only to discover that the doctor is on a ship in the middle of the ocean, using satellite internet with unreliable service. Dr. Behling's impatience, assumptiveness, and proclivity to jump to incorrect conclusions impeded effective communication and appropriate delivery of care. A healthcare assessment starts with the physician asking questions and listening to the patient's answers. Not only did Dr. Behling not ask the questions, but when given a small amount of information he immediately jumped to wrong conclusions and did not allow the opportunity to communicate further. When I called to report a problem, Dr. Behling refused to take or return my phone call and instead instructed his staff to set up a telephone visit a couple weeks later. This resulted in me seeking medical advice elsewhere, but Dr. Behling did not bother to ask that question either. Testosterone Pellet Placement: Dr. Behling did not demonstrate expertise with this procedure and would benefit from further education. He placed the pellets in the middle of the gluteals instead of more towards the hip. Every time I sat down, such as to drive home, the pressure of sitting made it feel that the pellets would be pushed out. I was constantly checking for correct placement. This area was very sore for 2 weeks and I now have a noticeable scar in a once beautiful area. I'm sad to say I experienced very poor delivery of care. Before writing this review, I attempted to communicate these issues to both Dr. Behling and his office staff; however, his office manager/wife was more interested in defending him than listening, resulting in her outright contradicting her own husband's medical instructions. read more

I started the testosterone therapy but stopped after 10 weeks. I gained a lot of weight and never saw any of the results. Was even more sluggish after 10 weeks. Was there 5 different times and never once met the doctor. You would think you would at least meet him once. The people were very friendly there and made me feel Comfortable, it just wasn't for me. My red blood cell count jumped 11% in to the danger zone. I had to go in and give a pint of blood. I read up where it will only lower your percent on average 3%. That still would have left me in the danger zone and it probably would have went back up bc they can only take a pint every 3 months. The risk of a heart attack is too high for me. read more

I was a patient a couple years ago, and after a life changing event I decided to come back. Still have great things to say. I LOVE that they are doing virtual appointments because this means so much in regards to our safety due to covid. I feel so much more comfortable in the safety of my home, and not having to travel and be around others during this time. It is very important to me to protect myself and my family, who are higher risk individuals. The fact that they offer the telehealth makes me so happy and want them to know that I appreciate their regards to our safety, and their own as well. The appointments are timely and they are still able to monitor your progression and health. The staff answering phones could be a tad bit friendlier or welcoming however, as I feel like each time I've spoken with them they seem as if theyre having a bad day and dont want to deal with you. Could be that they were having "off" days though, like we all do sometimes. The doctors are courteous and professional. I still highly recommend. read more

Do not use his groupon advertised. You will pay $70 promising a $250 value diet plan using phentermine however, he will offer a different method of weight loss for an add'l $500. Very misleading and uninformative. A waste of time (finding parking) and money to be told he cant help you. I am also seeing others that have written a one star review didnt have insurance... I didnt have medical ins either. When he asked how much weight I wanted to lose I said 10lbs. I have always been in the 128-130 range since high school. I was wearing a loose top and when I gave him this info, he asked if he could see my belly. I stood up and pulled my shirt up to my ribs and felt a bit caught off guard and a bit violated. Why do they schedule you for a certain time but take you in 30 minutes to an hour after your scheduled appointment? Overall, the products seem to work, but the service is terrible. No consideration is taken about the amount of time the customer has to wait. If we have to wait this long, why schedule appointments? Ive been here about 8x now and 7 of 8 times it's been a 30min - 1hr wait each time. read more

I came early to find parking, I parked across the street at the Don Quixote Parking Structure and walked over. The nurses are cool though. I bought a groupon for some b12 shots and I guess the nurses put I was in there for weight loss. So he called me into his office after I got my weight, blood pressures, temperature and all that sorted out with the primary nurse. He asked me why I was there and he persisted it was weight loss and proceeded to ask me how much weight did I want to lose, and I was like ugh I guess...5 lbs? and then I told he told me in an aggravated tone and demeanor that he doesn't deal with weight loss like that, he deals with patients that want to lose and extensive amount of weight. He's supposed to be a weight loss doctor? I was thrown off by how he handled that little talk. I proceeded to tell him that I bought a groupon and I'm there for the b12 shots. He then got up and was like my nurses put here weight loss then he went outside to the waiting area where his front desk and asked his nurses who put weight loss on my chart. It was an uncomfortable situation. He then came back in, understanding that his nurses just wrote the wrong thing on my chart. Apologized not very sincerely and proceeded to explain to me what b12 is. He discussed with me my BMI is obese. I told him that I appreciate his opinion, but I don't go off of BMI. I'm 5' 1" 165lbs I have a curvy body and of a multiracial background. I donate blood regularly get my blood pressure checked regularly, go to the gym 4-5 days a week, and I eat healthy. My body fat is 21% and muscle mass is 34% I'm fit and healthy. He insisted I was obese, lol. Im going to continue coming here because I have 5 more b12 shots to get, and the nurses administer it because its such a small and quick procedure to do. After these shots are finished, I will not come back for other procedures, I just feel like he's insensitive, but his nurses are great. read more

Dr. Behring was very rude and condescending with his patient care. He offered no advice towards a healthy lifestyle management and he told me that he could not help me. I came into his office looking for help and advice regarding a healthy Lifestyle, and after waiting over an hour to see him he spoke to me in a sarcastic and offensive tone, and told me there was nothing he could do for me. read more

Turns out he's primarily a obgyn, which I figure may work in my benefit because I'm trying to find a balance between peak health and preparing my body for pregnancy. Appointment at 10am, got there 9:45 to fill out forms, did not actually speak with the the Dr. Behling till 11:15, was out by 11:30. He would not prescribe supplements, which is understandable because it's contraindicated to pregnancy and i had no problem with that. He spent 15 minutes telling me how to calorie count to loose 20 lbs. At the end, I asked about my difficulties with infertility and he said "That's not what you're here for." I found this to be groupon offer/dr. visit to be a waste of money and my time. AND, no validated parking for the 1.5 hours i've been there. read more

I really don't like doing negative reviews but i really feel like you should be aware of the environment your getting yourself into. I was point blank told my monthly visit was $60. Not that it woukd be 60 plus whatever insurance wouldn't cover. They forgot to tell me that little detail until I had been there for 8 months.!! Then for the first time they've ever said a word to me about it, I owe them 500 more dollars. Now keep in mind, I was going once a month, walking up to the desk and paying the amount they said to pay each month, which like agreed upon was 60 bucks. Not one mention ever about this other money that was accumulating. During those monthly visits they would ask, would you like us to give you your shot? Yes please. Well, would have been nice for someone to go ahead and mention that those too, cost extra. Noone ever said a word. Until 8 moths of $20 shots had accumulated. Look, the people there are nice. It's Dr Behlings dishonest leadership that is sinking the place. They will try very hard to trick you out of your money rather than just be straight with you. Im exploring other options, and you might want to consider the same. Oh and BTW, I'm now at $180 per month with like $250 extra for I don't even know what. Far cry from the flat $60 each month that Behling looked me in the eyes and told me it would be. The stars are because the workers are nice. Behling gets zero stars. read more

If you need help reaching your weight loss goals, GO SEE Dr. Behling! There is a Groupon, he's honest, and he wants you to succeed. After gaining a little over 30lbs very rapidly a few years ago, I found out I had hypothyroidism. I struggled to get the extra weight off but kept losing the battle. My weight continued to climb, and I reached 178lbs and at that point, I knew I needed some advise/help. I found a Groupon for Dr. Behling and decided I would give him a try. He told me he could help me but I also had to help myself.. From the start, he was very adamant about me recording every calorie I put in my mouth. Calories in, calories out. Unless the calorie is on a package or you are preparing your food at home, you do not know the true calorie count. Dr. Behling prescribes Phentermine to qualified candidates. It's an added bonus that helps curb those hunger pains to meet your calorie goals but BEWARE, it's not a wonder drug. What makes you successful is being honest with yourself, determination, & Dr. Behling! I reached my goal in 12 weeks; I am 40lbs DOWN, and I continue to maintain. My last visit was on May 26, 2016. I went to Dr. Behling's office a couple of months ago after purchasing a Groupon for a weight loss plan. I did not see Dr, Behling, but did see his weight loss program assistant. He was very kind and gave thorough explanation of the plan. I was told my insurance did not cover the plan and it would be $500 plus the cost of meds for 3 months. I let them know I would consult with my husband and call back to confirm if I would press forward. I called back within the next couple of days and the first woman seemed to not know what I was talking about, but at least was kind. Then the second woman got on the phone in a more aggressive manner and said my file was not updated and they would speak to the assistant and call me back. I never received a call back. I would not recommend this place. read more

Love dr. Behling staff. Been a patient I think about 3 years now. Came here for weight loss first time around. It's medication plus diet plan consultation base practice. Followed the three month scheme and worked well actually lost almost 50 lbs. this time around not so good only lost maybe 5 lbs and that's after three months. I blame myself not being more disciplined just letting go and eating above the calorie restriction. They give you an allowed number of calories to consume in one day and if you stay within that range you should be loosing if you follow the plan. I was allowed 1800 kcal a day but usually go over. Now also one testosterone therapy. I am happy being on it. The increase boost I am getting is helping me out more at the gym. Able to lift more weights, more energy, stamina etc. being over 40yrs old and trying to stay healthy can be a challenge especially in Hawaii but these guys can help. read more

I came to see Dr. Behling because my husband and I were struggling to get pregnant. He was friendly and very knowledgeable, and I felt at ease in his office and with his staff - a major plus for the first awkward visit to a gyno. From my symptoms, Dr. Behling suspected I had an infertility condition that an ultrasound confirmed minutes later. Needless to say, I was impressed! I was even happier when I called his front desk to make our first "let's try to have a baby!" appointment. His nurse was absolutely thrilled, and actually cheered a little. It was sweet. I was extremely sad when we PCSd, and we couldn't have Dr. B as our OB with our first child. Overall, I couldn't recommend Dr. Behling more. We are an Army family, and being able to go into the doctor ONCE and come out with an infertility diagnosis was so helpful on our journey towards pregnancy. Now, after more than a year trying for Miracle Baby #2, I know that the process of being referred to a Tricare fertility specialist at our new post will be easy because of Dr. Behling's initial records. Instead of arguing with a PCM I've never met before so that I can get a referral to a fertility specialist, I can flash my diagnosis papers and get immediate approval for the help I need to grow my family. Dr. Behling is an excellent doctor. He is knowledgeable in both obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Behling delivered my daughter and during both my prenatal care and in the hospital I felt comfortable and glad that he was the doctor taking care of me. He took the time to answer all my questions and it gave me comfort to know that I could contact him any time for questions or concerns during my pregnancy. Dr. Behling's staff is also very friendly and helpful and I enjoy seeing them at my follow up visits. Awesome doctor! took me a while to find a doctor that would take me but as soon as i called them they booked me for the next week. first visit was very informative (specially for a first time mom) i also loved that i could come in regularly & doctor called to check up on me couple times. most doctors only take you once a month early in your pregnancy however doctor behling did not follow this step (which i loved) also most doctor just listen to the heartbeat & dont to ultrasound everytime, I loved being able to keep an eye on my little human & not have to wait 2 months or more (like im having to do now with my new doctor) all in all, ease of making appointments, even last minute. he will take you as a walk in if you need it office is very clean (unlike several hawaii offices always answer phone calls & staff is informative. doctor behling scheduled all my necessary appointments with other doctors as well. I recommended him to my friend and she has been going to him ever since. The only con is that he does not deliver, really wish he would. but its understandable since he just had a daughter of his own & wants to spend more time with her. read more

I am quite the calm, collected, rational, logical, and tough individual. This doctor had me in tears. He did not know basic knowledge of what gynos should know. Basically his profession is to help people lose weight. He's rude, he will undermine you, he does not care about your concerns or your health, and thinks he's the only smart one in the world. When you mention something that he doesn't have knowledge of, he will turn the tables and make it sound like you're the stupid one. He's one of those. I originally came in to get a perscription for birth control. And the Dr ordered some blood labs to check my overall health. Which I'm not sure if I've had done before. I'm overall healthy and try to keep up with my lady parts. Being new to the area he was the first Dr I found that took my insurance and was located near my home. The bc I wanted wasn't covered by my insurance and I asked for ortho tri cyclen which I'm familiar with. I didn't get the presceiption I requested so I figured I'd see what my insurance does cover before I go back in and request a new prescription . I went in today to get my results and he was telling me my results with no explanation as to what he was talking about. I don't know what hemoglobin is so I asked and he seemed aggitates. I could have easily Google's it but as my Dr reading my results I'd like an explanation. So I asked.. Then he said I had high cholesterol. I immediately was nervous because I didn't understand what he was telling me. I told him I didn't understand he said he was referring me to a specialist because he is a ob/gyn. So I asked again cholesterol s fat in my blood right. Again he was agitated. I asked what are healthy levels yadda yadda and as I'm taking notes he's not really concerned and shuts down stating I can ask the specialist. So I proceeded to ask about the different forms of birth control that I KNOW my insurance covers and what his office offers and to briefly explain them to me. I'm interested in getting an implant in my arm but before I could finish I'm cut off and He tells me that he senses tension and is no longer comfortable and walks out in the middle of my questioning. I've contacted my insurance company to complain about his services and I'm here letting you know the man is rushed and rude and i should have done more research before giving him my business. GROUPON-ERS BEWARE! Dr. Behling is a wonderful support in weight loss and seemed genuine enough. Until I got my insurance statement. When you buy the groupon for the weight loss program, nowhere does it say if you have insurance the groupon will be useless. I paid for an advertised discount voucher that was not honored by the practice and was basically told that it was just an advertisement to get people in the door. That their homemade printout in a cheap frame on the desk basically told me ahead of time that regardless of whether or not a had a voucher, they would bill my insurance. I felt scammed and no longer was able to trust this man enough to continue allowing him to be my physician. If when I presented my groupon voucher and then my insurance information one of the women working the front desk would have explained the process I would not have gone through with it or I would have maybe adjusted my expectations. Honesty is key in a doctor/patient relationship and I just felt lied to, to make matters worse, the Doctor didnt even seem to care. He got his money I guess thats all that matters. read more
