Reviews on Trip Advisor are spectacular, and mostly focus on kayaking, which I imagine is wonderful. I took the real Sydney tour, and it was decadent. Mark is very enthusiastic and talked to us in great detail on many topics. My favorite was the local slang (i.e. budgie smugglers for Speedos) and the bird calls. I definitely got a few good chuckles out of the excursion. It was also nice to see so much terrain. All of the "big ones" will get checked off your list (including the suburbs and Bondi and Manly Beaches). I also truly enjoyed the meal we had at the Iceberg on Bondi and the tea we had at another stop. My camera is chock full of all of the sights of Sydney, thanks to this tour. What's the downside, you might ask? For me, it was a lot of driving and not much actual time at any one place (It makes sense that you can either see all the sights or spend more time at fewer sites, but the latter is a bit more my style). I had also asked to be back by 5pm at my hotel to make a 6pm dinner without being rushed followed by a show at the Opera House. We left the Manly Ferry at 4:55 and needless to say, I didn't get back to my hotel until close to 6 and was late to dinner. I'm sure if I'd asked I could have been dropped off earlier, but there wasn't really a good time to do so. read more
