It was previously a summer chapel built in the 1800's for beach visitors at the old Oceanic Hotel. The hotel was claimed by the sea, but St. Peter's at the Light goes on. It is now an Episcopal Church, known for the lovely historic triptych behind the alter, and the quaint historic chapel. There is also a beautiful garden and fishpond with a waterfall behind the church that is open to the public. It is a very soothing place inside and out. There are very caring, Christian people who volunteer and keep services going for all visitors who want to worship. There is full Eucharistic service on Sundays at 10 with an organist, also a smaller service on Saturdays at 5, with Healing Prayer Wednesdays at noon. The Sunday service is also available on Zoom. The people of the parish engage in multiple areas of ministry all year round. Rev. Gen Bishop is the current Vicar, and she is a wonderful preacher and teacher.
