My experience with LMG started on a positive note, with the exception that my recruiter pushed me to accept a lower salary than I felt I deserved. I was set to work a contract position for 6 months at a non-profit and was specifically told the number of hours constituting this work period that I was to work. Three months into my contract, my supervisor at the non-profit "reminded" me my contract was going to end in one month since the woman whose position I was filling while she was on maternity leave was supposed to return. However, this was news to me because my LMG recruiter, Fernando, informed me I was supposed to have a 6 month contract and not a 3 month contract. I was at first disappointed with the non-profit I worked at and not LMG because I assumed the non-profit was responsible for the miscommunication. But when I informed my supervisor that I was supposed to work for 6 months, she showed me the email correspondence with Fernando from LMG that mentioned the specific dates I was supposed to work. Her email specifically showed the dates for the 3 months I was supposed to work and not 6 months like Fernando told me. In the email thread she showed me, Fernando even responded to her and confirmed the 3 month-long contract. Therefore, Fernando showed a lack of professionalism and high level of incompetence by not communicating this important information to me. When I told Fernando that my contract would be ending early, he had the audacity to blame me for taking a vacation and said that must have been the reason they were terminating me early. This made absolutely no sense since I informed my supervisor of my vacation months in advance. He refused to take any kind of responsibility for the miscommunication that he was clearly responsible for. When I asked my supervisor whether my vacation had anything to do with my contract ending early, she assured me it didn't and said the employee returning from maternity leave was the only reason I couldn't work longer. This was one of my first professional experiences as a new graduate and I regret ever working through LMG, and it was extremely frustrating and negative. read more

Okay, LMG Healthcare, where have you been all my life? I've read through the negative reviews here, and it's too bad because to be honest, those people might not have given it a chance, come on! You had your resume viewed, isn't that enough to get excited? LMG did an awesome job keeping me thoroughly informed through the whole placement process. Nirav and Ross are the most professional and well spoken individuals who helped me get in the door at a major hospital as a nurse. Who also, gave me invaluable tips on how to spruce up my resume. Cause keep it real, is yours even up to par with whats going on in the industry? And! Nu, at the front desk is equally thorough, making sure I dot my "i's" and cross my "t's". Listen people, the hiring process out in the wide open world is treacherous and can be vicious. Employment Agencies, if linked up with right one, can get your foot in the door to someplace that wouldn't have even thought to look twice at your resume. For those people who reviewed 1 star, don't be lazy. The complaints are: 1. I didn't get hired - If you didn't get hired, could it have been your lack of enthusiasm and skill? 2. I didn't get paid on time - Did you not clock in your time correctly? 3. No insurance - Did you not read the agreement? 4. Phone tag - Were you too busy looking at Instagram to answer the phone call when your looking for a job? 5. Waste of a 10 minute interview - What's 10 minutes out of your 1,440 minute day? 6. San Jose is too far - Sure San Jose is far, but you have no qualms driving to Valley Fair, right? 7. I have to pay for my own flu shot - Are you gonna die if you have to walk up to Walgreens and pay $20 for a flu shot that could possibly prevent you from getting sick and getting sent to the hospital for an office visit and meds that could potentially cost you a total of $425? BOOHOO! Come guys, have you ever thought about it might actually just be you? Stop complaining! Your looking for a job, LMG found you, take the opportunity! I have been temping through this agency for about 6 months now and I have finally been offered a permanent position at the company that I was assigned to. Yay! So i figured now would be a good time to yelp about my experience with lighthouse. As it worked out, i never actually met the guy that i was working with from Lighthouse in person, Brian K. but he did a great job nevertheless. Once an opening became available i was placed quickly, in fact, i didn't even really interview for the position that i am currently working in! I spoke with my current manager for about 10 mins on the phone and started the next day. This is due in large part to Brian pumping me up and making my current manager confident that i could do the job. Of course, it helps that I am qualified for the job, but I was so stoked to start right away and not have to deal with what can otherwise be a tedious interviewing process. Brian even coached me a bit before what would have been my interview to let me know exactly what the company was looking for and how best to market myself so that i could get the position, I really really appreciated that, it was so helpful. Of course as recruiters, the people here will be just as interested in getting you placed as you will be to get a job because that means that they get paid, but just in general i had a great experience. Brian was a really nice guy, and he was always available for me when i had any questions--and i mean always available, this guy worked ridiculous hours! I would get calls at 8-9 at night some times. Reading previous reviews are a bit disheartening. People feel so "entitled" in the U.S., it saddens me. There are so many who would line up at the chance to live in a country of such opportunity, they'll fight tooth and nail or dig through dirt for a chance at a better life... But perhaps I digress. First of all, as we all know, finding the right job is not easy. Even if you HAVE the qualifications for a certain job, there's attitude, competency, efficiency, and so forth. A good agency matches your skills and personality and then competes with other agencies and candidates for a position. It's in an agency's interest to fill that position with the best candidate. That's how they get paid and that's how they find other opportunities for future candidates. Whether or not they have the job pool you're looking for depends on the agency and depends on timing. If you're skilled in a certain area and work well with others, your chances of finding a good job are better. I was in luck for such was my case. I've interviewed at and worked through a few different staffing agencies and this one was my favorite. For about 2 years, I worked with recruiters at Lighthouse. Brian was one of them. They seemed to really listen to the kind job I was looking for and were able to match my skill-set with temporary or permanent work. Eventually, they landed me in an industry that I enjoy being in. Other agencies I worked with either didn't know anything about the field I was in or didn't really care what job was right for me. Lighthouse has great staff and great recruiters. I never had an issue with checks and they always returned my calls or answered my emails. I even visited the office every once in a while because Brian cracks me up! He's really personable and has coached me through interviews and blew up my ego, making me feel really confident for positions I was applying for. (A girl needs an ego boost every once and a while.) I enjoyed working with him so much, I almost wish I was looking for a job again just to be able to work with Brian. Anyway, I said ALMOST. I really do like the job I found through Lighthouse. I've been signed up with LMG for about 2 weeks at this point, and I'm really trying to figure out why the hell I didn't do this sooner. My contact, Brian, got back to me after my initial inquiries in just a couple days, and had me come in for a face-to-face a couple days after that. We got along swimmingly, and Brian has already found me a 3 month contract. After just a week! The trouble with Yelp is that there is not a single negative review on this service that contains even a modicum of CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. It's only ever mindless, petty, selfish complaints that have absolutely nothing to do with the actual quality of the service or the individuals that they single out, and most people don't realize that Yelp reviews actually have a real impact on the patronage that some businesses enjoy. The previous review by Almedia is a perfect example of this. Unable to cope with being critiqued, ignorant to the fact that people have lives and schedules of their own, focused entirely on herself with absolutely no regard for little things like, you know, *reality*, and the fact that she is actually NOT the center of the bloody universe. Hi Yelpers, I just had to write this review because I want to be able to share my positive experience with other job seekers and/or possibly clients who are looking to utilize Lighthouse Management Group's services. From the very beginning, everything went pretty smoothly from my initial intake appointment (which didn't take up a big chunk of time) since the staff is very efficient and work well as a team together. I also want to mention how beautiful their office is and how nice the ambiance is inside. They work in the Julia Morgan mansion-- a very cozy architecture with some rich history behind it that's not hard to find and very appealing to the eye. Back to work lol... The lady who was initially supposed to interview me was feeling under the weather but thankfully Delara came in & took over. This was very nice of them considering that I was running behind myself. Delara is very nice. She explained everything to me about the position. She covered all the bases such as location, job functions, the company culture and rewards/recognition program. She was transparent about who I would be working for and she explained how I have the opportunity to be very successful & even land a permanent position. She gave me examples of other success stories succeeded and where they are now. She motivated me and inspired me to take advantage of the opportunity at a VERY well known & prestigious organization. Long story short...I interviewed Tuesday, got a follow-up email from her a few hours later, another update on Wednesday, phone call on Thursday to confirm my phone interview, just had my phone interview today (Friday) & within ONE hour was given an OFFER for the role! I started my journey at LMG with Ross. From the first time we met, he seemed kind and showed he really wanted to help me find a job. But I soon found out I was wrong. I landed a job from an interview that LMG had set up for me and I was ecstatic! I wanted to review the contract before giving my final okay but for some reason Ross was very adamant about calling me and having phone conversations. I asked why e-mails weren't sufficient and he gave me some BS excuse like "things can get lost in translation over e-mail". I think he was worried about getting things in writing (which could bite him in the rear later on) more so than things "getting lost in translation". Anyway, I was traveling at the time and was willing to cut the travel short to start this job but because I asked for a contract to review, his response time to my e-mails lengthened. One day he sends me an e-mail saying that he denied the job on my behalf, WITHOUT CONSENTING ME, because I "seemed to have a lot going on". This was definitely not the case and I clearly communicated that I wanted this job, I just wanted to see the contract to compare with other job offers. I sent him a long e-mail saying he misrepresented me and that I was upset. Of course I did not get an e-mail back. Please do not waste your time coming here. It just seems like one of those companies that want to make you think you NEED them in order to find a job-even after you landed it. You can find one without LMG, I sure did. read more

CONCLUSION: I landed a particular assignment with Kevin's help within a company that I LOVED to be a part of and have a great work culture. That company offered me a new temp position after my 2+ months assignment with them was over, but it was in a different location (which meant a 40+ mins commute..which I couldn't handle, especially in traffic). I was...picky...with location, location, location. (Sorry Kevin!!!) I wanted something really CLOSE to home (in a 10 miles radius). While Kevin did offer me a recent opportunity in SJ, I was hoping for a different job title and thus, I had to politely decline. In the end, I landed a full-time position that was 10 mins away from where I live. Unfortunately, the full-time position was not obtained with Lighthouse. HOWEVER, without the experiences I gained working with Lighthouse for almost half a year, I wouldn't have gain the necessary experience required for my current job. Dishonest / untrustworthy agency. Lighthouse Management Group lie to candidates / employees such as pre employment blood test paid for life scan reimbursement but they never refund money that they said will do. They also mislead and cheat, they make $15 per hour on you while the other client pay them high rate but hey take about 50% pay share between you and the company the employee work for. It is better to find other employment agencies take lower of your money and payback as they promise unlike Lighthouse Management Group. Kevin, an employee of Lighthouse Management Group lie too much and he and his manager both are not good people, unethical business practices they come up with so many reasons not to pay back but they promise to pay for all fees. If anyone ask to go get a blood test or any background check by Lighthouse Management Group and promise you they would pay all fees you paid. Do not do it because they will not pay back. Avoid all the unnecessary fees. If you get hire, they would pay less and they take more money for them. When asked Kevin why change of heart about the refunds? I played phone tag with one of the recruiters for a few days. When we finally spoke on the phone, she gave me a little intro about Lighthouse and then told me she couldn't disclose the company name of their "client" until I went in for an initial interview at their San Jose office. Uh, ok. Don't get me wrong, they probably have some kind of logical explanation for this, but it was a complete turn off for me. If I lived near their office then *maybe* I would consider their silly policy, but I live over an hour away and just don't have time to play games. Seriously...all that hassle just to know the company's name?! Lol. Probably one of the most ridiculous things I've experienced with a staffing agency thus far. I find it so funny how your agency agent interview you and want to find what type of job setting that will fit for you, and yet they never email you or call you to check up on their clients to tell them they are still searching for what ever position is available. Obviously Delara never did, it was just a front of acting like she is helping. This company don't even have any health plan to offer, so I suggest you look somewhere else. Not to mention that I do have health care experience for 16yrs. Take my advice just look for a job on your own or network with friends they probably help you out more than this agent here. I stumbled across Lighthouse once again a few months ago because I was in a situation where my job at the time was in a situation was being sold and didn't know what was going to happen with the business and then I got a job that didn't work out. So, I was in need of help with Lighthouse. The girl that I worked with in 2013/2014 no longer works for this establishment so I was placed with JR AKA Jonathan. JR got back to me towards the end of the day after my initial voicemail. He asked me to come in for an office visit since I haven't been under their umbrella for awhile. I went in, met with him and JR told me that he had a placement that needed to be filled. I went in for an interview with the company and was told they would like me to start ASAP. Everything was nice and dandy until I had to give my notice that I am leaving the current position that JR has placed me. I found a job that seems more promising than that I'm currently in. The position that I currently hold is a temp position which most likely will NOT turn into a permanent position. Who wants to be a temp for the rest of their lives? Not I for sure. I called and left a voicemail for JR on Friday, June 12th to give my notice, I sent him an email. I get no response. I called left a voicemail, sent an email once again on Monday, June 15th since I haven't heard. He responds to my email stating he'll call me to chat. I received a call a bit later to chat about my last day. Needless to say JR was unprofessional! JR said, oh my my temporary greeting didn't state I was on vacation? Not my fault you didn't know how to program your phone and nor do I read minds. Here was our conversation: him: I thought you were looking for something more stable. Me: this is the next chapter in my life I need pursue. Him: well, congrats, I guess. Me: my last day will be on thursday. Him: have you told the boss lady when your last day was? Me: no cause when I used this office services before, the person I dealt with before said that you guys normally tell the supervisor. Him: you're right and I'll keep you posted. Needless to say, I never heard from JR and I wanted to make sure the manager of the department knew I was leaving. I left a voicemail later that afternoon and also sent an email and didn't get a phone call back but got an email towards the end of the day stating he had talked to the manager to confirm my last day. If you payed attention earlier in my review, I told JR that my last day would be Thursday of the my last week but he told the boss it would be Friday. I sent him a reminder via email and thought he would respond, but he didn't and I never heard back from him. I totally regret recommending my friend to this establishment for job placement. I honestly think I will never return to here for any assistance if I need it in the future. Lighthouse totally disappoints me big time! read more

Marginal at best. The elevator pitch sounds good. But if you dare to inquire about progress or ask any questions, everyone clams up. This does not appear to be a professional organization.
