This church is HUGE and worth a visit because it's really a site. The kids slide down a slide to Sunday school! It's also very clean and has a coffeehouse on site that is similar to Starbucks. It does or did have a gift shop / Christian bookstore inside but idk if it still does. There are also some interesting things to see. However fellowship wise it was really lacking. I know that small groups are encouraged (like for Bible studies / prayer meetings) but there seems to be no sense of a larger all inclusive "church family". To give an idea, it seats 2000 people and they fill up but I've never felt so alone. Literally the only people who spoke to me were people I knew from other places / times in my life. I received a call soon enough after a church service that I was still in the building. My dad had been in a car accident and was at the ER! He ended up being okay () however in the moment, I did not know that and I was scared. I remember looking around the lobby and thinking there is not one single person HERE that I can turn to. Then I thought, I can get THIS kind of fellowship at the mall and I never went back! ( I did like being able to wear jeans to church. )

All are welcome. Music is a mixture of Contemporary with a few hymns. They have a great Youth group as well as classes for all ages. The church is over 100 years old. (Not the building). We were looking for a 4:00 pm Mass on Saturday and chanced upon this church - we loved it and will be back. While the establishment of the parish dates back to the 1920s, this particular church was erected in 1960. It serves as one of two centers of activity for the Bishop of Fort Wayne-South Bend (Fr. Kevin Rhoades) - the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Fort Wayne and this Cathedral in South Bend. We enjoyed services in this large and airy house of worship. The people we met were all very welcoming and we are sure the ministries offered leave little to be desired. Wonderful parish, extensive services, beautiful liturgical music, and idyllic setting. While the neighborhood around the Cathedral has changed over the decades, this location is well kept and easily available. There also is a nice grammar school behind the Cathedral for children of the parishioners. Do give this church a try one weekend, you won't be disappointed.

This week we liked the message but we have a problem with one song that you sang. Its call reckless love of God. Have you not really listened to the words of that song. We will not be back if that is what you all believe. It may be one of the newer songs out but it is awful. And if you are reaching out to non Christians and wanting them to be saved the words in songs should lead to the truth. This song does not. Please check it out.

However, I feel they have really stepped up and are moving in a positive direction. The pastor is animated and not for everyone. The music can be loud but the singers are talented and the songs are good! They welcome the lifting of hands and everything is done in decency and in order. No one ever feels pressure to be anything but themselves here. And all are welcome. They preach an uncompromising gospel. The thing I like best, though, is that this church is full of genuine, caring people. I have made so many friends here in a very short time. Friends that are solid in their faith, loving and supportive. I am very contented to continue fellowshipping with these folks and supporting this pastor! Oh, and the staff....love 'em!

I live in another state, and I would like to find a church that is multicultural and a pastor like Pastor Mark Lantz , who is not afraid to teach all of the bible. I love the Jubilee house and the people that serve there. They are awesome people who donate at…read moreleast a year or so of their lives to serve the community. They have an awesome community meal that meets there once a week on Wed. night and there is always enough food to go around.
